Telephone Directory
Functions: Data storage/recall (128 items when each item contains up to 6 characters for name and
up to 12 digits for number), secret function, memory capacity display.
Input capacity per item: 24 alphabetic characters, numbers, symbols or spaces for name data; 24
numbers, hyphens, or space for number data.
About the Power Supply
This unit is powered by a single lithium battery (CR2032). If the display becomes dim and difficult
to read, it probably means that you need to replace the battery.
Important!
The numbers and letters you input stay inside memory as long as the battery provides electric power.
When the battery goes dead, or when you remove it, everything inside memory is erased. Because
of this, you should always write down names and phone numbers in an address book or notebook
as a back-up, just in case.

3. DATA TRANSFER
JD-3000 can transfer customers data to other JD-3000 with memory protection only when replacing the
LCD or the outer case.
1) Turn the power switch off and set up wiring condition as follows.

2) Press the reset button of the customer's machine. RESET?
3) Press the reset button of the slave machine. RESET?
4) Short the TR pad of the customer's machine. RECEIVE
5) Short the TR pad of the slave machine. RECEIVE
6) Press the "CAPA" button of the customer's machine. TRANSMIT
7) Press the "SET" button of the slave machine. No Display
8) Press the "SET" button of the customer's machine. No Display
9) Several minutes later "END" will appear on the display of both machine.
✽ "NG" will appear on the display when data transfer fails.
