Safety Considerations

Consult a qualified installer, service agency or your distributor or branch for information or assistance. The qualified installer or agency must use factory--authorized kits or accessories when modifying this HVAC system. Refer to the individual instructions packaged with the kits or accessories when installing.
Follow all safety codes. Wear safety glasses, protective clothing, and work gloves. Have a fire extinguisher available. Read these instructions thoroughly and follow all warnings and cautions included in literature and attached to the unit. Consult local building codes and the current edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC) NFPA 70. In Canada, refer to the current editions of the Canadian Electrical Code CSA C22.1.
Recognize safety information. When you see this symbol and in instructions or manuals, be alert to the potential for personal injury. Understand the signal words DANGER, WARNING,and
CAUTION. These words are used with the safety--alert symbol. DANGER identifies the most serious hazards, which will result in severe
personal injury or death. WARNING signifies hazards, which could result in personal injury or death. CAUTION is used to identify unsafe practices, which may result in minor personal injury or product and property damage. Setting Up Wi--Fi and Obtaining a Registration Code
The Comfort Series Wi--Fi Thermostat uses your home Wi--Fi network to connect to the Internet. First, enable Wi--Fi on the Comfort Series Wi--Fi Thermostat (see instructions to the right).
The Comfort Series Wi--Fi Thermostat will display a list of available networks, along with an indication of the signal strength (the more bars, the better) and whether encryption is used.
If your home network is not listed, or if the signal strength is very low, try adjusting the antenna on your wireless router. If that doesn’t improve the signal, try moving your router closer to the Comfort Series Wi--Fi Thermostat.

Once your network has been detected, select it from the list. If the network is encrypted, you will be asked to enter a password for that network. This is the password you created when the wireless router was first set up.
After you provide the password, your Comfort Series Wi--Fi Thermostat will automatically connect to the Internet. A chain link on the screen indicates you have established a connection with the Carrier web servers.
Write down the registration code as you will need it when configuring your Web Portal account. You can leave the code
displayed on the screen while you continue with the next step.

From the Home screen, press MENU. Select Register Thermostat. Select Continue. Select Wi--Fi Settings. Select Wi--Fi Radio " Enabled. Select your network from the list. If prompted, enter your network password. The Comfort Series Wi--Fi Thermostat will automatically connect to
