CANON CONSUMER CALCULA TOR LIMITED WARRANTY

The limited warranty set f orth below is g iven by Canon U .S.A., Inc., ( Canon U.S.A.) and Canon
Canada Inc., (Canon Canada) with respect to Calcu lators pur chased and used in the Unite d
States and Canada r espectively.

This limited warranty is on ly effective upon presentation of proof of pur chase (bill of sale) to Canon
U.S.A. or Canon Canada Fact ory Service Center . Canon Calculator s, when delivered to you in a
new condition i n the original container , are warranted against defective materials or w orkmanship
as follows: for a period of one (1) year from the d ate of original purchase, defective parts or
Calculators returned to a Canon U.S.A. or Canon Canada Factory Service Center and proven to
be defective upon inspection, will be exchanged at Canon U.S.A.’s or Canon Canada’s sole
option, for new or comparable rebuilt parts or calculators (of the same o r similar model). Warranty
for replacement sh all not extend the original war ranty period of the defective c alculator.

When returning Calculators under this limited warranty, you must pre-pay the shippi ng charges, if
any, and enclose a com plete e xplanation of th e proble m. Calc ulators covered by this limited
warranty wi ll be repaired at Canon U.S .A.’s or Canon Canada’s sole option, and re turned to you
without charge by any Canon U.S.A. or Canon Canada Service Center. This warranty does not
cover rec hargeable batteri es that may be supplied with the Calculator, as to w hich batteries
there shall be no w arranty or replacement.

Information Technology Service s and CANON CAN ADA INFORMATION/SER VICE CENTER will
refer you to the nearest Fa ctory Service Center. Repairs not und er warranty will be at such cost as
Canon U.S.A. or C anon Canada may from time to time generally establis h.

This limited warranty cov ers all defects encountered in normal use of the calculators, and does not
apply in the following cases :
(a)Loss or damage to the Calculators du e

to abuse, misha ndling, altera tion, accident, electrical
current fluctuations, failure to fo llow operatin g instructions , maintenance and environment al
instructions pre scribed in Canon U.S.A.’s or Canon Canada’s instruction manual or service
performed by oth er than a Canon U.S.A. or C anon Canada Factory Servic e Center.
(b)Use of parts (other than those d istributed by C anon U.S.A. or Canon Canada) which damage
the Calculator or cause abnormally frequent service calls or service prob lems.
(c)If any Calcul ator has had its serial numb ers or dating altered or remo ved.
(d)Loss or damage to the Calc ulator due to leaking batteries (othe r than rec hargeable batteri es
supplied a s original eq uipment with the Calculator by Canon U. S.A. or Canon Canada) or water
damage.

La présente garantie limitée est valable seulement sur présentation d’une preuve d’achat (facture de vente)
à un centre d’entretien et après-vente agréé de Canon U.S.A. ou de Canon Canada. Les calculatrices de
Canon, lorsqu’elles sont livrées à l’état neuf dans leur emballage d’origine, sont garanties contre tout vice de
matière et de fabrication comme suit : pendant une période de un (1) an à compter de la date de l’achat initial,
les pièces défectueuses ou les calculatrices qui

sont retournées à un centre d’entretien et après-vente agréé
de Canon U.S.A. ou de Canon Canada et dont l’inspection confirme une défectuosité seront remplacées à

d’expédition, s’il y a lieu, et joindre une explication détaillée du problème. Les calculatrices couvertes par la
présente garantie limitée seront réparées à la discrétion exclusive de Canon U.S.A. ou de Canon Canada et
vous seront retournées sans frais par le centre d’entretien et après-vente agréé de Canon U.S.A. ou de
Canon Canada. La présente garantie ne couvre pas les piles rechargeables qui pourraient être fournies avec

ÍNDICE DE TECLAS

Tecla de encendido/i ndicación de borrado/tecl a de
borrado – Se usa para encender la cal culador. Se usa,

presionándol a una vez, para corregir lo s numeros que
acaban de in troducirse: y para borr ar todas las entradas

presionándol a dos veces.

estas tres variables para obtener el resultado del

POWER SUPPLY

alkaline bat tery depends entirely on individual usage. When the
battery is e xhausted, you can still use the solar cell to p ower the
calculator.

AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF FUNCTION

When the powe r is turned “ON” and none of the keys are pressed
for more than

7 minutes, the calculator turns off aut omatically to

■ Electr omagnetic interference or electrostatic
discharge may cause the display to m alfunction
or the content s of the memory to be lost
or altered. S hould this occur, use the ti p
of a ball point pen (or similar sharp

calculator. After resetting, be sure to s et the tax rate again.

KEY INDEX

values, exce pt memory. This key is also u sed for
clearing the overflow error.

ALIMENTATION

Cette calculatrice est équipée d’une double source d’alimentation.
Les piles alcalines peuvent être utilisées pendant une assez longue
durée, selon le type d’utilisation réalisé. Lorsque les piles sont
épuisées, la calculatrice peut toujours être utilisée en étant
alimentée par la cellule solaire.
(Note : Ne pas tenter de remplacer soi-même les piles. Faire

effectuer cette opération par le centre de service
après-vente Canon.)

FONCTION DE MISE HORS CIRCUIT AUTOMATIQUE

Si la calculatrice est mise sous tension, mais qu’aucune touche n’est
actionnée pendant plus de

7 minutes, l’affichage s’éteint automatiquement

pour économiser l’énergie. Dans ce cas, actionner la touche

pour

commencer les calculs et le témoin « 0 » apparaîtra sur l’affichage.

■ Une interférence électromagnétique ou une décharge
électrostatique peuvent causer des erreurs
d’affichage ainsi que la perte ou la modification
du contenu de la mémoire. Dans de
telles circonstances, appuyer sur la
touche [RESET] et recommencer
l’opération de calcul depuis le début. Lorsque vous rallumez,
assurez-vous d’entrer de nouveau le taux du calcul de taxe.

INDEX DES TOUCHES

Touche de mise sous tension / effacement affichage /
effacement – À utiliser pour mettre la calculatrice sous

tension. En appuyant une seule fois, cette touche corrige
uniquement le nombre qui vient d’être entré. En appuyant
deux fois, toutes les entrées et tous les résultats sont
effacés, à l’exception de la mémoire.

Touche de changement de signe – Utilisée pour le

changement du signe (+ ou –) des chiffres affichés.
Touche droite– Cette touche sert à déplacer et à corriger un
chiffre entré. Une seule pression efface le dernier chiffre à droite.
Touche racin e carrée – Utilisée p our le calcul des
racines carr ées.
Touche de pourcentage plus-moins – Cette touche sert aux
calculs comportant des pourcentages, majorations et rabais.

Touche de rappel de mémoire / effacement de
mémoire – Si vous appuyez une fois, vous rappelez le

contenu de la mémoire. Si vous appuyez plusieurs fois de
suite, vous effacez le contenu de la mémoire.

effectuer un calcul et à cumuler simultanément le résultat
obtenu dans la mémoire. Elle permet également
d’additionner un nombre à la mémoire.

effectuer un calcul et à cumuler simultanément le résultat
obtenu dans la mémoire. Elle permet également de
soustraire un nombre à la mémoire.

CALCUL DES VENTES

Mettre le bouton en position « BUSINESS » pour effectuer le
calcul des coûts, des ventes et des marges bénéficiaires.

Utilisé pour le clacul du coûts, des prix de vente et du ratio de
marge bénéficiaire. Entrer la valeur de 2 éléments pour
obtenir la valeur moyenne. (par ex. Entrer la valeur du coût
et du prix de vente pour obtenir la marge bénéficiaire.)

CALCUL DE TAXE

Mettre sur « TAX » pour effectuer le calcul de taxe.
