1. Change Made When Upgrading MEAP Cont v12.01 to v13.01.

Modification of the error that when you turn on the
main power, MEAP authentication screen is not

When you turn on the main power and perform MEAP
authentication on the device which another (CMJ-made) MEAP
applications are installed, the authentication screen is not
displayed sometimes. This error is modified.
2. Note:
Plese note the following items when you use this System soft.
1. Points to Note When Upgrading of System
Item Initialized
The system is upgraded by overwriting. All settings (for user mode, service mode) will remain intact, and no item
will be initialized. The version of the Service Support Tool used for the upgrading is v3.2 1 or later.(The newest
version: v3.22)
2. Note on overwriting MEAPCont
MEAPCont contains SDLogin.jar, SSOLogin.jar.
When MEAPCont is downloaded from SST, these uninstalled applications may be reinstalled. Uninstallation of the
applications should be performed if necessary.

3. Limitations
No. Description
Depending on the model and connection option, there is the limitation on the conflict operation. If you scan with the
specific mode, print and perform the Send operation simultaneously, the process speed for these operations slows down

sometimes. As a result, feeding paper from Document Feeder will slow down.
This issue can be resolved by increasing the memory.
Performance is degraded when Page Numbering, Copy Set Numbering, Watermark, Print Date or Form Composition

function is used.
Change of Gray Compensation-related settings at the PCL print
- Setting on the device's operation panel
In addition to Text and Graphic, "Image" was added to the PCL Gray Compensation setting. Text, Graphic and Image
are set to On as a default.
However, with iRC6800, Image is set to Off (not existed). Regarding the image difference from iRC6800, you can
avoid it by changing the setting.
- Driver without Page Composer (NT) supported

"Printer Default" was added, and the default was changed to "Printer Default".
However, with iRC6800, Image is set to Off (not existed). Regarding the image difference from iRC6800, you can
avoid it by changing the setting.
By setting to "Printer Default", you can set the Gray Compensation setting for all objects (Text, Graphic and Image).
- Driver with Page Composer supported
"Printer Default" was added. The default is set to Off.

As for TIFF and JPEG of the direct print, if CMYK format data is sent, it is not supported and it is processed as an error.

The message indicating the incorrect data is display ed in the UI status.
As for PDF of the direct print, if the rendering mode is set to Auto, Black Over Print cannot be executed.

This issue can be resolved by setting the rendering mode to CMYK. Also, this issue can be resolved by using the printer
driver.
In case of printing by using QuarkXPess v4.x and 6.1 in Apple Talk environment, if you select a printer with a print

queue "S" (iRC6870-xxxx_S), the font data is printed in bitmap.
This issue can be resolved by selecting a direct queue "D" (iRC6870-xxxx D).
At the Form Composition operation, the image is degraded on red/magenta color characters and thin lines because of

the compression process.
At the Form Composition operation, if you specify Single Color, there is the color difference between the printed

sample and the normal Single Color copy.
In the Form Composition operation, there is the color d ifference on the samples between RGB composition and CMYK
9
composition.
In the Form Composition operation, if PDL data is used in the form or document, the border line appears between the

colors which are defined as the same color.
If a document is read from ADF for a copy, and fax transmission or reception is completed simultaneously, reading

from ADF stops for 1 second.
However, the performance on copying is not changed.

When you set Copy Set Numbering, Print Date, Watermark, or Form Composition with "Transparent Image" and print
data in color, the overlaid area becomes lighter.

As for Copy Set Numbering, this issue can be resolved by changing the density.
As for the other functions (Print Date, Watermark, and Form Composition), this issue can be improved by changing
Half-tone density.

5. Remarks
1. There is no fear of infection about the computer virus that exploites the vulnerability of Windows been disclosed
by the Microsoft company because imageRUNNER Series uses OS different from Windows.
2. The encryption module is included in this system software.
This encryption module has an export restriction,and is forbidden to export countries bellow
Iran,North Korea,Cuba,Sudan,Syria and Libya

There is no schedule of release of System CD-ROM.
