Insert the mercury battery, which comes in a separate envelope, into the battery cham ber. The mercury battery is the power source for the EE meter. If the battery is not inserted the electric eye will not function.
Open the back cover. Push the back cover lock in the direction of the arrow
and the back cover will open.
Pull out the mercury battery case.

without mistaking the ( + ) and (-) poles.
/1 Push the battery loaded case Into the
mercury battery chamber with the ( —)
side on top. The EE meter will not function
properly if the battery case is inserted in correctly.
* Use only MD type (Mallory RM 625, Eveready E 625, General No. 625) mer cury batteries. These mercury batteries have a service life of approximately one year. * Be careful not to leave sweat or finger prints on the mercury batteries. Wipe
them thoroughly with a dry cloth before
loading. Longer service life of the mer
cury batteries can be maintained by re
moving them from the camera and storing
them in a dry place when not using the
camera for a long period of time.
