Thank you for purchasing this A300 integrated amplifier.
At Cambridge Audio we are dedicated to the manufacture
of quality audio products of the highest possible value.
Typical of all our hi-fi separates, this A300 is capable of
true hi-end performance without the inflated price tag
normally associated with hi-end equipment. We have
achieved this by careful design, thorough attention to
detail, streamlined production techniques and by listening
to our customers. We are grateful that you have selected
this product and would welcome any comments that you
may have.
The A300 may be an entry level amplifier, however its
design still adheres to the principles of true hi-fi, and the
end result is an affordable product which delivers a very
credible performance. Signal paths within the amplifier
are all as short as possible, and the circuit topology is
fully optimised to give good stereo separation and dynamic
freely flowing sound.
Although the A300 has a modest maximum output power
of 40 watts rms into 8
capable of delivering generous amounts of current,
Ω, or 50 watts rms into 6Ω, it is
allowing it to drive a wide range of speakers, and sound a
lot more powerful than its specification might suggest.
Inclusions such as a custom designed tight-wind low-flux
toroidal transformer, metal film resistors, multiple audio
grade capacitors and a high efficiency heatsink further
reinforce this amplifier’s audiophile identity.
Completing its impressive specification, the A300 has a
specially selected high quality volume potentiometer, bass
and treble controls, four line-level inputs and a tape
monitor function. No corners have been cut concerning
build quality, with the amplifier’s solid aluminium facia not
only providing a classy finish, but also contributing to overall
chassis rigidity.
