this owner’s guide carefully. It will help you set up
and operate your system properly and enjoy all of its
advanced features.

• The product label is located on the back of the product.
• This product must be used indoors. It is neither
designed nor tested for use outdoors, in recreation
vehicles, or on boats.
• Heed all warnings on the product & in the owner’s guide.
• Do not use this apparatus near water or moisture.
• Do not use this product near a bathtub, washbowl,
kitchen sink, and laundry tub, in a wet basement, near a
swimming pool, or anywhere else that water or moisture
is present.
• Only use attachments/accessories specified by the

• Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when

Mains adapter information
• Ensure the mains adaptor supplied is not submerged
in liquid
• Ensure the mains adaptor is not forced into incorrect
mains outlet sockets
• Do not allow the power cable to become snagged or
damaged
• Disconnect the mains power supply if bare wires are
visible and replace the mains adaptor accordingly
• Do not overload mains outlet sockets with multiple
plugs or power adaptors
• Do not insert foreign objects (especially metal) into the
DC plug at the end of the power cable
Battery information
• Do not insert battery into the remote control in the
wrong direction.
• Do not charge, heat, open or short-circuit the battery.
• Do not throw battery into a fire.
• If the remote control does not function correctly or if
the operating range becomes reduced, replace the
battery with a new one.
• Improper replacement of batteries may result in
explosive hazard. It must be replaced only by batteries
with the same or equivalent type.
Care & maintenance
Important: Always unplug the appliance from the
power socket during cleaning and maintenance.
• Wipe the case with a slightly moist lint free cloth
• Do not use any cleaning fluids containing alcohol,
ammonia or abrasives
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the object
• If the unit is used in a dusty environment, it may be
necessary to have the unit serviced at your local
dealer periodically. It is not advisable to allow large
deposits of dust to accumulate within the unit as it
may prevent adequate cooling. Similarly dust deposits
which become damp can sometimes lead to electrical
problems which may cause severe damage to the
delicate electronics within this unit.

Mains adapter
When using the mains cable insert the adaptor plug into
the rear of the CSPK258WWi (8), the other end into a UK
mains socket.
Battery operation
The CSPK258WWi requires 4 x AA batteries ( not
supplied ).
1: Open the battery compartments on the rear of the
unit (7).
2: Insert 2 x AA batteries into each compartment taking
care to match the + & - polarity symbols correctly.
3: Replace the battery compartment covers.
NOTE: Please dispose of old batteries according
to your local rules and do not dispose of your old
products with your normal household waste.

Opening / closing the stand & dock
Press the plastic button ( shown below ) on the front
of the unit to extend both the dock & rear stand
automatically.
The diagram below shows how to fold away the rear
stand after use.
NOTE: Charging while using the iPod/iPhone will
increase charging duration.
Charging is only supported using mains power.
Place a compatible iPod / iPhone onto the 8 pin
(lightning) connector (carefully), taking care not to bend
the connector.
The front is simply folded upwards.
The iPod dock once extended reveals the 8 pin
(lightning) connector. Connect a supported iPod/iPhone
to this socket.

NOTE: When an iPod/iPhone is docked and a
device is connected to the AUX input (using a
3.5mm audio cable supplied), you will hear only
the iPod/iPhone output until the iPod/iPhone is
removed.
User instructions
Connecting an AUX source device
Using the supplied 3.5mm audio cable, it is possible to
connect an external audio device eg: mp3 player to the
CSPK258WWi.
1: Connect the 3.5mm cable into the AUDIO input socket
(10) on the rear of the unit.
2: Connect the other end to your audio devices
headphone output or Line-out.
NOTE: The volume output is effected by the
volume level on the source EG: MP3 player, so
make sure that is set to about 70-80% ( not too
loud to avoid distortion).
NOTE: You will need to remove any docked iPod/
iPhone device to allow playback of the AUX input.
Troubleshooting
In the unlikely event of difficulties with your appliance
please follow the trouble shooting guide below.

CSPK258WWi ON or press once to enter STANDBY.
NOTE: an indicator will light up to indicate the unit
is ON.
Adjusting the volume
1: Press the V OL- (3) or VOL+ (4) buttons to decrease or
increase the sound levels accordingly.
