Power source
• This symbol means that this unit is double insulated. An earth connection is not required.
• The appliance must be connected to a 220-240 volt 50/60Hz AC supply by means of a three pin socket.
• Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time - to prevent damage to this product.

Preparing the remote control
1. Before use remove the plastic tab insterted into the battery compartment on the rear of the remote control. (Fig 1). Once remove the remote will be functional.

Installing batteries in the remote control
As the battery becomes exhausted the operating distance will shorten. When the remote no longer operates the unit, replace the battery with a new CR2025 lithium battery.
• Dispose of used batteries with regard to the recycling regulations in your area.
• Do NOT short circuit batteries or throw them into water, the general rubbish or in a fire. Weak batteries can leak and damage the remote control. Replace them in good time!
• Keep coin-sized button batteries out of sight and out of the reach of children. Coin lithium batteries can cause serious injury when swallowed.
Dispose of used batteries with regards to the recycling regulations in your area. Do NOT short circuit batteries or throw them into water, the general rubbish or in a fire. Weak batteries can leak and damage the remote control. Replace them in good time.
Remote control range
1. When using the remote control always point the top end towards the IR sensor on the front of the party speaker.
2. Ensure you are within approx 8M range and there are no objects covering the IR sensor on the front of the party speaker.
3. If the remote usage becomes intermittant or the operating distance is shortened, replace the CR2025 battery as outlined above.

Connecting the mains power cable
1. Insert the ‘figure 8’ shaped plug into the mains socket (7) on the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the mains plug to a wall outlet and switch on. (Fig 2)
3. Set the POWER switch (27) to the ‘1’ ON position. The POWER LED (13) will illuminate.
4. Press the STANDBY button on the main unit or remote control to wake from standby. (Fig 2)

2. Push the handle down as far as it will go to retract.

Line/AUX-in input connection
Follow the steps below to connect an external audio source (such as a smartphone) for playback through the party speaker..
You will need a 3.5mm audio cable or a 3.5mm to RCA cable (not supplied) to connect a device to the LINE IN (22) or AUX (23) input socket.
1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the LINE IN input socket (22) or RCA sockets (23) on top of the unit. (Fig 3) Connect the other end to an earphone or line-out socket on the audio device (such as a smartphone).
2. Switch to LINE IN input (LINE IN socket 22) or AUX input (AUX IN sockets (23) mode by pressing the MODE button on the main unit or remote repeatedly until you see LINE or AU IN on the display.
3. Press PLAY on the audio device.
4. Adjust the volume to your desired level.

When connecting via the headphone output the volume of the mini system is affected by the volume control on the player. Ensure that the audio source (such as an MP3 player) is set to about 70-80% to avoid distortion.
When connecting to the AUX input sockets, take care to match the red socket to the red plug and the which socket to the white plug.

Mic connection
Follow the steps below to connect a microphone with a 1/4” jack plug.
1. Connect the 1/4” (6.3mm) plug to the MIC input (26) on top of the unit.
2. Once connected the volume is adjusted with the MIC volume control knob (16).
3. The mic input also as an ECHO control. Rotate the ECHO control knob (15) to adjust
the amount of echo on the mic output.
Guitar connection
Follow the steps below to connect a guitar using a 1/4” (6.3mm) jack cable (not supplied).
1. Connect one end of the 1/4” (6.3mm) jack cable to the guitar output and the other end to the GUITAR input (25) on top of the unit.
2. Once connected the volume is adjusted with the GUITAR volume control knob (17).
Standby mode
This unit is designed to enter STANDBY mode automatically after 20 MINUTES (approximately) of inactivity. Press the STANDBY button on the unit or remote to wake the unit.
1. Press the STANDBY button on the unit or remote to put the system into standby.
2. To resume normal operation press either button again.
Switching input modes
Follow the below instructions to switch between Bluetooth, FM radio, AUX in and LINE in input modes.
1. Press the MODE button on the main unit (12) or remote repeatedly to cycle between Bluetooth, FM radio, AUX in and LINE in input modes.
2. Alternatively press the BT button on the remote for direct access to Bluetooth. And the U/SD button to switch between USB and SD card inputs.

Volume function
1. Rotate the VOLUME control dial (18) clockwise or press the button on the remote
control to increase the volume output.
2. Rotate the VOLUME control (18) anti-clockwise or press the
control to decrease the volume output.
Mute function
Activating the mute function disables audio output from the speakers. Bluetooth, Radio etc will remain playing while mute is activated.
1. Press the MUTE button on the remote control to silence audio playback.
2. Press again to resume audio output once more.
Bass / Treble adjustments
Using the bass and treble control knobs you can adjust the sound output.
• Rotate each knob to increase or decrease the treble (19) / bass (20) level for the audio
output.

Light eect
1. Press the LIGHT effect button (24) to begin the light show.
2. Press the LIGHT button to change the lighting effect. Up to 8 preset styles.
3. The 9th press of the LIGHT button will turn off the light effect.

LINE IN
Let’s get started
FM radio operation
1. Press the MODE button on the main unit or remote until you reach the FM radio
mode. The display will show ‘Fn’ momentarily then change to an FM frequency.
2. Press the
Fm band. Every station that is detected is saved to a preset location.
3. Use the NEXT
The position of the party speaker is important for a good FM reception. If you cannt receive a station you know you should be able to; move the party speaker to a different location and try the scan again.
Playing MP3’s from a USB flash drive or SD card
Follow the steps below to connect a USB flash drive or SD card and play mp3 files.
1. Insert a compatible USB flash drive or SD card into the USB input socket (8) or SD card input slot (29) on top of the unit.

2. The device will be automatically detected and the first
track in folder 01 or the root of the USB/SD card will begin playback automatically.
3. To pause playback press the (11) or remote control during playback. To resume playback
press once more.
4. To skip to the next or previous track use the NEXT
button on the main unit or remote control to begin an auto scan of the
/ PREV buttons to cycle between the saved station presets.

USB/ MP3 information
• Do not remove the USB/SD card device during playback.
• Max 999 tracks and 99 folders can be recognised
• FAT 16, 32 formats only. Up to 64GB in size.

Let’s get started
Connecting a Bluetooth device
When using the Bluetooth connection, you can listen to audio wirelessly from a Bluetooth audio device (For example an MP3 player) within 10 metres of the Party Speaker unit.
1. When in Bluetooth mode you will see ‘bt’ appear on the display and the unit searches
for previously paired devices or becomes available for new connections (indicated by the BT LED flashing)..
2. Enable Bluetooth on your audio device (For example a smartphone) and search for
available bluetooth connections. Select the ‘BUSH PARTY SPEAKER’ from the list. If you are asked for a pass code enter ‘0000’. The BT LED will stop flashing once connected.
If you turn off either device before pairing is complete the process will need to be repeated when powered ON again.
3. Once paired an audible sound is heard through the speakers.
Each time you switch the Party Speaker on and select BLUETOOTH mode the device will automatically connect, unless you have un-paired the device on your bluetooth audio device.
4. You can now begin playback from the audio device and the output will playback
through the Party Speaker.
5. When using a mobile phone as an audio source and you receive a phone call the
audio playback stops while you receive the call. When you hang up the audio is restored.
The volume output is effected by the volume level on the audio source EG: Phone or laptop, so make sure that is set to about 70-80% (not too loud to avoid distortion).
6. To un-pair (disconnect) a bluetooth device, press the UNPAIR button on the remote
control. The party speaker will now revert to search mode, and be available for new connections.

Care & maintenance
After using the Party Speaker
• Set to Standby.
• Switch the unit off at the mains and unplug it if you are leaving it unattended for a long period (holidays etc).
• Avoid leaving the battery fitted in the remote control. If you leave the unit unattended for long periods. They may leak and damage the remote control.
Care & cleaning
• All care and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains power.
• Occasionally wipe the cabinet with a lint free duster. Never clean the unit with liquids or solvents.
