Batte ry installation (back up only)
Only adults shoul d ha nd le b at te ry . Do n ot a llow a child to use this apparatus unles s th e ba tt er y co ve r is s ec urely attached to the uni t. Insert 2 x 1.5V AAA siz e ba tt er ie s (n ot i nc lu ded) in to the compartmen t, taking care to matc h th e ba tt er y or ie nt at ions marked on the inside o f th e
compartment. Replace the batte ry c om pa rt me nt c ov er .

Insert the AC adapto r in to a 2 30 V-2 40 V AC ~ 50 Hz m ai ns o utlet and the other end of the cord i nt o th e DC 5 V ja ck o n th e ba ck o f th e unit.
BATT ERY BAC KU P
The clock time and al ar m (i f se t) c an b e ma in ta in ed during a power failure by 2 x AAA/ LR03 batteri es ( no t su pp li ed ). Once the power is res to re d, c he ck t he t im e to m ak e sure it is accurate and re-set if necessa ry.
INSERTING THE BATT ER IE S
1. Open the battery c om pa rt me nt a t th e bo tt om of the unit by pressing on the catch and remov in g th e co ve r.
2. Insert 2 x AAA/ LR03 b at te ri es ( pr ef er ab ly alkaline batteries ) in to t he battery compart me nt , fo ll ow in g th e po larity as shown on the diag ra m inside the compar tm en t.
3. Replace the batt er y co mp ar tm en t co ve r.
SETTING THE CLOCK AND ALARM
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Press and hold the T IM E bu tt on (11) and the hour/minu te d ig it s wi ll f la sh .
2. Use the HOUR butto n( 9) t o se t th e ho ur s. The PM indic at or (1 ) wi ll l ig ht when the hour is adva nc ed i nt o th e PM t im e.
3. Use the MINUTE but to n( 10 ) to s et t he m in ut es .
4. Press the TIME but to n( 11) t o confirm.
SETTING THE ALARM
Before setting th e al ar m ti me , ma ke s ur e th e cl ock has been set.
1. In standby mode, p re ss a nd h ol d th e AL AR M 1/ 2 bu tton(6,7), and the hour/minute dig it s wi ll f la sh .
2. Set the alarm time b y re pe at ed ly p re ss in g HO UR / MINUTE button(9, 10 ). No te : Press and hol d HO UR /M IN UT E bu tt on ( 9,10) respectively fo r fa st
advance.
3. Repeatedly pre ss A LA RM 1 /2 b ut to n( 6, 7) t o select the desired al ar m mode (buzzer or rad io ). T he c orresponding ALARM 1/ 2 bu zz er a nd / or radio indicator (2 ,3 ) wi ll l ig ht u p on t he L ED d isplay.
4. Disabling alar m fu nc ti on s, p re ss t he A LA RM 1/2 button(6,7) repeatedly unti l th e bu zz er a nd /o r ra di o in dicators have disappe ar ed .

USING THE ALAR M FUNCTION
1. To ena bl e th e al ar m fu nc ti on , us e the ALARM 1/2 buttons (6 ,7 ) to s el ec t buzzer or radio. Th e se le ct ed a larm mode indicator ( 2, 3) w il l li gh t up .
2. Th e bu zz er o r ra di o wi ll c om e on a t the set time.
3. To sto p th e al ar m, p re ss t he A L OFF butto n( 8) . Th e al arm will sound again the next day.
No te : While the buz ze r al ar m vo lu me i s fi xe d an d cannot be adjusted, the radio alarm volum e ca n be a dj us te d to y ou r de si red level using the VO LU ME buttons( 6, 7) . To select a ra di o st at io n to w ak e up t o, s ee t he section on “US IN G TH E RA DIO ”.
SNOOZE FUNCTION
When the alarm soun ds , pr es s th e SN OO ZE b ut to n(12). Th e al ar m mo de indicator will fl as h an d th e al ar m wi ll s ou nd a gain after 9 minutes. To cancel the SNOOZE f un ct io n an d re pe at t he a la rm the next day, pre ss t he

SLEEP FUNCTION
With this functio n, y ou c an l is te n to t he r ad io f or up to 120 minutes, aft er which it will turn of f au to ma ti cally.
1. When the unit is swi tc he d on , pr es s th e SL EE P bu tton(12) repeated ly t o select the durati on : 12 0, 9 0, 6 0, 4 5, 3 0, 1 5, 0 5 mi nutes or OFF.
2. At the end of the set tim e, t he r ad io t ur ns o ff automatica ll y.
3. To can ce l th e sl ee p fu nc ti on b ef ore the end of the set time , pr es s th e button(8) to turn o ff t he r ad io immediately.
USING THE RADIO
1. Press the button (8 ) to t ur n on t he r ad io .
2. Press and hold one o f th e <T UN IN G> b ut to ns (9 ,10) to start automat ic tuning up/down. R el ea se t he b ut to n wh en t he u nit is receiving a stat io n you would like to lis te n to . Fo r ma nu al f in e- tu ning, you can press it briefly to adjust t he f re qu en cy s te p by s te p.
3. Press the button (8 ) to t ur n off the radio.
