The BTL-1500 gynaecological chair is manufactured in four configurations: one-motor, two-motor, three-motor, and a
three-motor chair with memory. The one-motor chair comes with electrically adjustable height while the positions of the
seat and the back-rest are fixed. The two-motor configuration has electrically adjustable height and back-rest. The
three-motor configuration offers electrical adjustment of all three parts - height, back-rest, and seat. The three-motor
chair with memory also offers electrical adjustment of all three parts and in addition, it enables the user to pre-set the
most commonly used positions of the chair.
All chair configurations are supplied with the following standard accessories: leg supports, handgrips, a hand switch,
holder for sanitary paper, and stainless steel trash bin.
The chair can be additionally supplied with retractable castors, a foot switch, underhead pillow, step (integrated or
detachable), colposcope holder, and lamp.

The seat and back-rest leatherette upholstery is available in a wide range of colours. The frame is metal and
varnished.

2.2 Chair Assembly and Initiation
Place the chair on a firm and even floor dimensioned for the chair weight. Minor surface unevenness can be
eliminated by height-adjustable screws located at the feet of the chair. In case of any questions, please contact your
BTL service technician or BTL Service Department.
Connect the chair directly to the power source and check its functions by using the control unit.
2.3 Control Units
2.3.1 Hand Switch (standard)
Operation:
A desired position of the chair can be set according to arrows indicated on the hand switch. It is preset by the manufacturer that the A and B buttons are used to adjust height of the chair, the C and D
buttons are used to adjust the position of the back-rest and the E and F buttons are used to adjust the
position of the seat.
Programming (available only in three-motor modification with memory)
1) Keep the S button pressed during the whole programming time.
2) Set the desired position of the chair using buttons for adjustment of individual parts - height, backrest, and seat.
3) Press the number of the programme (1-3).
4) Release the S button.
To adjust the position of the chair according to a pre-set programme, press the number of the
corresponding programme.
The number of control units depends on the selected chair configuration.
2.3.2 Foot Switch (optional)
Operation:
The foot switch can be used to adjust one part of the chair instead of the hand switch
(available only in one or two-motor configuration).

4 MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY
•Wash the upholstery with detergent. For disinfection use for example 10% Persteril. Do not use acetone-based
substances!
•It is recommended to check the chair thoroughly once a month in order to detect loose cables, damaged cable
insulation, etc. In case of any mechanical or other damage, do not use the chair and contact your service
technician.
4.1 Safety Measures
• Read the manual carefully before using the chair.
• All the chair users have to be instructed in operation, maintenance and safe use of the chair by the manufacturer
or supplier.
•The power source, to which the chair is to be connected, has to comply with the electrical specifications of the
chair. In case of any discrepancies, have it inspected by an electrician.
• Use the chair in a proper work environment described in Chapter 5 under Technical Parameters.
• Do not dismantle the chair. Removing the chair cover might result in an electric shock!
• Move the chair with castors only on an even surface! Otherwise, it is necessary to lift the table.
• The maximum chair load is 180 kg.
4.2 Warranty
The product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of
shipment. The manufacturer will at its option repair or replace components which prove to be defective during the
warranty period provided that the product is used in accordance with the manual. Should the product be returned to
the manufacturer for repair or replacement, it must be sent carriage paid.
