Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the j ac k on the M F C m ar ke d LINE and the
othe r end to a m od ular wa ll jack.
Warning
The M FC m ust be grounded using a 3-prong plug.
Since the M FC is grounded through the power
outlet, you can protect yourself from potentially hazardous electrical conditions on the telephone
network by k eeping the power to your M FC on when you connect it to a telephone line. Similarly, you can protect yourself when you w ant to move your M FC by disconnecting the telephone line first
and then the power cord.

If the installation does not continue automatically, please open the installer menu again by double-clicking the setup.exe program from the root directory of
the Brother CD-ROM, and continue from Step 4.
