Attention – Before Installation

1. Inspect this product to assure you have all parts as shown that are required for proper installation.

2. The valve cartridge has been factory tested and adjusted – DO NOT TAKE THE CARTRIDGE APART. Taking the
cartridge apart will void the warranty.

3. Ensure that both hot and cold water feeds are properly connected to the marked lav connecting.

4. This product must be installed by a professional contractor.

5. Refer to the specification and assembly drawings attached for installation directions.

6. Flow Pressure –Min. 25 PSI, Max. 80 PSI. Recommended pressure – 50 to 60 PSI.

Installation Requirements

Please read the instructions carefully so as to avoid any damage to the fixture.

1. To ensure this product is installed properly, you must read and follow these guidelines.

2. The owner/user of the faucet must keep this information for future reference.

3. Be sure your installation conforms to local codes.

4. Refer to the specification and assembly drawings attached. Faucet is sold partially assembled but shown fully
disassembled for illustrative and service purposes only.

5. Inspect this product to assure you have all parts required for proper installation.

6. Use only a strap wrench or protected/smooth-jaw wrench on any finished surface.

7. If possible, install the faucet assembly on the sink or mounting surface before setting.

8. Do NOT use putty during this installation.

Cleaners For Fittings And Accessories

To avoid damaging the surface and working components of the fittings, certain precautions must be taken in terms of us­age and subsequent cleaning as many cleaning agents contain acids for general cleaning and removing calcium depos­its. When caring for your fittings and accessories, please note the following:

- Only apply cleaners which are expressly intended for the use

- Never use any cleaner containing hydrochloric acid, formic acid or acetic acid on or near the fitting, as they can

cause considerable damage

- Do not use cleaners containing phosphoric acid

- Do not use cleaners containing chlorine bleach solutions

- Never mix or combine cleaning agents

- Abrasive cleaners and unsuitable scouring agents such as scouring pads

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

In the case of instantaneous heaters, hot water flow has to at least meet the minimum flow required by heater
and maintain burning (specified by heater manufacturer).

OPERATING SPECIFICATIONS
Hot water supply temperature:

• Minimum:5°C/41°FHigherthanmaximumrequiredmixedtemperature.

• Advisable65°C/145°F

• Minimumdifferencebetweenhotandmixedtemperatureis10°C/50F.

Operating Pressure

• Maximum145psi/10bars

• Minimum1.45psi/0.1bar

Operating pressure (on hot and cold line) should be kept as balanced as possible in order to assure maximum
efficiency. When the pressure is higher than a 72.5psi/5 Bar, a pressure reducing valve is required to be fitted

before valve.

TECHNICAL DATA

This mixer is supplied with a cover plate (for installation depth see the reference on the cover). Temperature

limitsettingoflessthan49°C/120°F.Themixerportsaresupplied¾NPTthreads.

PLUMBING RECOMMENDATIONS

An independent water supply (both hot and cold) is required for the shower system (please refer to installa­tion diagrams). Large runs of pipe work will cause frictional loss of pressure. In installations where a pump is

required, install pump before shower mixer inlets.

INSTALLATION BY-LAWS

The mixing valve should be installed in accordance with local/provincial/state and federal
by-laws.

IMPORTANT:

In case of reduction of flow rate, close the two main inlets and check if the filter at the bottom of the non­return valve is dirty. If this is the case, clean them with the appropriate solution.

FITTING COVER PLATE

• Remove the protection from the mixer.

• Place the seal to the plate.

• Push cover plate over temperature body.

• When in position, fit chromed adaptors against cover plate and on/off controls and secure with screws.

• Fit the temperature control and secure with screw.

• Fit the cap on all the controls.

• Checkthattemperatureisatmax.43°C/109°Fbeforeshowerisused.

CARTRIDGE CHANGE AND CLEANING

Through years of use, impurities and limescale could restrict the flow of water through the filters of the cartridge.
To clean it, follow the instruction below:

• Shut off water supply to both inlets

• Remove the grub screw (1), remove the handle (2), remove the screw (3) remove the chromed adaptor (4)

and plastic stop ring (5).

• Unscrew cartridge (6) using 30 mm spanner. Wash filters (7) under running water or leave to soak in vinegar
or de-scaling agent.

• Before re-assembling cartridge (6) clean its housing with wet cloth and grease “O” rings on cartridge.

• Re-assembling cartridge (6) into body.

• Re-fit plastic stop ring (5) according to the drawing, turn spindle (A) until you reach required temperature
38°C/100°F.

• Re-ttemperaturecontrolchromedadaptor(4).Testthatmaximumtemperatureissetat43°C/109°F.

• Re-fit the screw (3) the handle (2) and the grub screw (1).
