Before initial use carefully read these Instructions in order to
get acquainted with your new appliance. Please, save the
Instructions for future reference.
SAFETY MEASURES
When using this unit, the following safety precautions should
always be followed:
Do not clean the unit using the chemical solvents, abrasive
materials, aerosol cleaners – they may ooze into the telephone and become a cause of damages that are not covered
by the warranty. If necessary, use a damp cloth for cleaning.
Do not expose the unit to high temperature, humidity and
strong sunlight.
We have done everything to make this telephone meet the
requirements of the quality standards. However, if some malfunction arises, please do not try to repair it by yourself.
Do not install this unit near water, for example, near a bathtub,
washbowl, kitchen sink, or other sources of high humidity.
Electrical equipment may be a cause of serious injuries if you
use it whilst wet or standing in water.
If you dropped the base unit into water, do not touch it until
you disconnect it from AC outlet; after that take it out by the
disconnected cords.
Special safety precautions
This unit uses the chemical DC sources for its power supply.
Please read and follow these special safety precautions:
Before use carefully read the batteries operation manual;
Do not use the batteries with visible oxidation marks;
In case of oxidation products getting to your eyes or skin
immediately rinse with lots amount of water; in case of accidental swallowing – drink lots amount of water and try to
vomit, then call the doctor;
Do not use the new and old batteries simultaneously;
Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire. They may explode;
Check with local waste management codes for special disposal
instructions;
Do not open or mutilate the battery;
Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the
battery to conductive materials such as rings, bracelets, and
keys. The battery and/or conductor may overheat and cause
burns.

pressing of a single button.
21.“In use” indicator – lights up when your phone goes on-
line (when you lift the handset).
22.Call indicator – lights up on incoming call, simultaneously
with the ringer sounding.
23.Handset cord jack – to connect the handset to the base unit.
24.Base unit handset cord jack – to connect the handset to
the base unit.
25.Cradle switch – disconnects the phone from the telephone line.
26.Telephone line jack – to connect the phone to the tele-
phone line.
27.AC adapter jack – to connect the AC adapter to the phone.
28.–VOL+ control - to control the volume of the answering
machine.
29.VOLUME control - to control the speakerphone volume.
30.Mounting holes – to mount the base unit on a wall.
31.RINGER Off/Lo/Hi switch – to switch off/change volume of
the ringer.
32.P-T switch – to change dialing mode (pulse/tone).
33.Battery compartment – for 4 AAA batteries.
34.Battery compartment lid – to fix the batteries in their
compartment.
35.Screw – to fix the battery compartment lid in its place.
36.Telephone line cord – to connect the phone to the tele-
phone line.
37.Handset cord – to connect the handset to the base unit.
38.AC adapter – to connect the phone to the AC mains.
G0: Clock symbol – appears after the clock was is set. It flashes
in the process of time setting.
G1: Answering machine symbol – appears when the an-
swering machine is on; flashes in the “only answer” mode.
G2: Batteries low symbol – appears when batteries (in the
phone lower part) charge is low or when the batteries are not
installed.
G3: New message symbol - appears if the "New message
warning" feature is enabled; does not appear if the feature is
disabled.

G4: Two-way recording symbol - flashes if the telephone conver-
sation is being recorded.
G5: "Outgoing message 1" symbol - flashes at the first outgo-
ing message playback.
G6: "Outgoing message 2" symbol - flashes at the second
outgoing message playback.
G7: Memory full symbol - appears when the answering ma-
chine memory is full.
G8: Message symbol - appears when there are messages in
the memory; flashes when new message was received and
when the message is being recorded.

INSTALLING AND
CONNECTING
1. Using a cross-head screwdriver unfasten the screw [35], remove the lid [34] of the battery compartment [33]. Insert four
1.5V AAA type batteries into the compartment [33], observing
their polarity. Close the lid [34] and fasten the screw [35].
Note:
before opening the battery compartment always disconnect the
phone from the phone line. At your power network outage, if the
batteries were not installed, all of your settings, messages, clock
and codes will be lost.
2. Insert the AC adapter [38] plug into its jack [27] at the base
unit front side. Connect the power cord of AC adapter [38] to the
wall socket of your electric mains (220V, 50Hz).
3. Insert one plug of the handset cord [37] into the handset jack
[23], and the other – into the base unit jack [24].
4. Connect one plug of the the phone line cord [36] to the phone
line jack [26] at the base unit front side, and the other – to the
phone line socket.
5. Press and hold the CLK button [8] until the LCD [3] will shows
the number of the day of the week. If you set the clock for the first
time, the LCD will show the initial settings: ’01-01-00CL’ – the first
two digits are the number of the day in the week, i.e. ‘01’ means
‘Monday’ - the first day of the week; ‘02’ means ‘Tuesday’ - the
second day of the week and so on to ‘07’ meaning ‘Sunday’ - the
last day of the week.
a) Using << [6] or >> [7] buttons, set the current day number.
b) When the LCD will shows the right digits, press and release the
CLK button [8] for confirmation. After that the next two digits,
showing the hours, start to flash.
c) Using << [6] or >> [7] buttons, set the current hour.
d) When the LCD will shows the right digits, press and release the
CLK button [8] for confirmation. After that the last two digits,

showing the minutes, start to flash.
e) Using << [6] or >> [7] buttons, set the current minute.
f) When the LCD will shows the right digits, press and release the
CLK button [8] for confirmation. The LCD will show your day and
time settings.
Note:
It is recommended to set the answering machine clock before the
first use so you will know the time of message entry. At your
power network outage, if the batteries were not installed, your
clock settings will be lost and you will have to do it once more from
the start.
6. You can dial a phone number in pulse or tone mode. To choose
the appropriate mode, just slide the P-T switch [32] to “T” position
for Tone dialing and to “P” position for pulse dialing.
MAKING
CONVERSATIONS
Making calls
Lift the handset [1] or press the SPK button [19], the “In use”
indicator lights up [21]. The LCD [3] shows ’00-00-00’,and the
time count starts. Using dialing buttons, dial a number (the dialed
number is displayed on the LCD [3].)
Answering calls
When the phone rings, lift the handset [1] or press the SPK
button [19]. To hang up place the handset [1] on the base unit or
press the SPK button [19] once again.
Note:
To switch the call from speakerphone to handset in the course
of conversation, just lift the handset [1]. To switch the call from
handset to speakerphone, press the SPK button [19] and place
the handset [1] on the base unit.
Conversation
To stop the call you may place the handset [1] on the base unit
or press the cradle switch [25]. When using speakerphone, press
the SPK button [19].
Adjusting the speakerphone volume
The speakerphone volume may be adjusted by sliding the
VOLUME control lever [29]. If you hear unpleasant sounds
from the speaker, decrease the volume using the VOLUME
control lever [29].
Adjusting the ringer volume
Using the Hi/Low/Off switch [31], you may turn the ringer off
or select high (Hi) Low ringer volume.
Inserting a pause in the dialed number
When saving the number in the phone memory, press the
PAUSE button [15] where the pause is needed (if a long pause is
necessary, then press the PAUSE button [15] several times). For
example, if you are dialing from PBX and should dial '9' to access

the line, then after '9' press the PAUSE button [15] and then enter you
number.
Redialing the last dialed number
Lift the handset [1] or press the SPK button [19]. Press the
Redial button [18] and the last dialed number will be redialed.
Note:
You can redial the number containing no more than 32 digits.
Flash button
Use the FLASH button to:
• use conference mode, call waiting and other services provided
by your telephone company;
• immediately stop the conversation to start new number dialing.
Dialing the number stored in the telephone
memory
You may store three phone numbers in the phone memory to
use one-touch dialing (by pressing the M1, M2 or M3 buttons
[20]). Each stored number may contain up to 16 digits (“0”..”9”)
or “#” signs [14].
Storing a number in the phone memory
1. Lift the handset [1] or press the SPK button [19].
2. Press the STORE button [16].
3. Dial the number you want to store in the memory.
4. Press the STORE button [16] once again.
5. Press one of the one-touch buttons - M1, M2 or M3 [20].
6. Place the handset [1] on the base unit or press the SPK button
[19] to complete the storing procedure.
Dialing a number stored in memory
1. Lift the handset [1] or press the SPK button [19].
2. Press the appropriate one-touch dialing button - M1, M2 or
M3 [20].
3. The phone will start dialing the stored number automatically.
Note:
In case you will need to change one of the stored numbers, just
store the new number as described above.

ANSWERING MACHINE
Recording the ‘outgoing message 1’ (OGM1)
OGM1 is used in the ‘Answer and Record’ mode , when the
answering machine proposes to leave a message. Standard prerecorded 'outgoing message 1' (OGM1) is as follows: “Please leave
your message after the tone”.
Changing the ‘outgoing message 1’ (OGM1)
Press and hold the OGM1 button [4] until a the short beep is
heard. After the beep say your message talking clearly in the
immediate vicinity of the base unit. (In the process of recording
the OGM1 symbol appears on the LCD.
You may record a message with up to 60 seconds duration.
To stop recording press the STOP button [13].

Your new message will be automatically played after the end of
recording.
Erasing the modified ‘outgoing message 1’
(OGM1)
While playing back of the 'outgoing message 1' (OGM1) press the
DELETE button [9]. This results in the standard pre-recorded message
becoming the 'outgoing message 1' (OGM1).
Recording the ‘outgoing message 2’ (OGM2) –
“Answer only”
OGM2 is used in ’Answer only' mode, when the answering
machine offers to call back later and the caller is not able to leave
a message to you. The answering machine automatically switches
to this mode if the memory is full. The standard pre-recorded
'outgoing message 2' (OGM2) is as follows: “Please call later”.
Changing the ‘outgoing message 2’ (OGM2)
Press and hold the OGM2 button [5] until a the short beep is
heard. After the beep say your message talking clearly in the
immediate vicinity of the base unit. (In the process of recording the
OGM2 symbol appears on the LCD.
You may record a message with up to 15 seconds duration.
To stop recording press the STOP button [13].
Your new message will be automatically played after the end
of recording.
Erasing the modified ‘outgoing message 2’
(OGM2)
While playing back of the 'outgoing message 2' (OGM2) press
the DELETE button [9]. This results in the standard pre-recorded
message becoming the 'outgoing message 2' (OGM2).
Setting the answering mode
Press and hold the ANS button [11] to select the ‘outgoing
message’ - OGM1 or OGM2. Your answering machine will play
back the message selected.
Note:
Please be aware of the fact that the OGM1 is the normal
answering machine mode, and the OGM2 - ‘Answer only’, in the
latter case the caller will not be able to leave a message for you.
Answering machine on/off
Press and release the ANS ON/OFF button [11]. You will
hear: “Answer OFF” or “Answer ON”.
Note:
When the answering machine is on, the auto-answer symbol
(G1) appears on LCD, when it is off – the auto-answer symbol
(G1) disappears. In the 'Answer only' mode the auto-answer
symbol (G1) flashes.
In the remote operation, when the answering machine is on, it
automatically answers after two rings, if there are new messages
in the memory, and after four rings, if the new messages were not
recorded. Therefore, if the phone rings more than 2 times, you
may hang up knowing that there were no new messages.
Listening to new messages
Press and hold the PLAY button [12] until a short beep is
heard. The answering machine will start playing back the new

messages.
Note:
If you have new messages, the new message symbol (G8) will
be flashing.
Listening to all messages
Press and release the PLAY button [12]. The answering machine will start playing back all of the messages.
Note:
When you have only old messages, the new messages symbol
(G8) appears on the LCD (not flashing).
Actions during messages playback
Press the << button [6] to repeat the current message playback.
Press the << button [6] twice to listen to the previous message.
Press the >> button [7] to listen to the next message.
Press the PLAY button [12] to pause a message playback.
Press the PLAY button [12] once again to resume playback.
Press the DELETE button [9] to erase the current message.
Press the STOP button [13] to stop playback.
Note:
After the end of last message you will hear: “End of message”,
then there will be the 8-second pause. During this pause you may
press the << button [6] to listen to the last message once again or
press the PLAY button [12] to play back all of the messages once
again.
All messages erasing/saving
In the stand-by mode:
Press and hold the DELETE button [9] until a short beep is
heard; all of the messages will be erased. If you have changed
your mind, press and hold the DELETE button [9] once again until
a short beep is heard; all of the messages will be recovered and
played back.
Notes:
1. Recovery of the messages is possible only if after the erasure
the new messages were not recorded.
2. The new messages can not be erased.
Memo message
Recording of a memo message
You may use your answering machine to record a memo message to yourself or to other machine users. Press and hold the
MEMO button [10] until a short beep is heard (the LCD displays
the “00” digits and the time count starts).
Say your message in the immediate vicinity of the base unit.
To stop recording press the STOP button [13].
You may record a memo message with duration up to 90
seconds.
Memo playback
To play back all of the new messages including memo, press
and hold the PLAY button [12] until a short beep is heard.
New message warning
Press and hold the STOP button [13] until a short beep is
heard confirming the activation of the feature. The LCD [3] shows

the letters “bn”. On receiving of each new message every 8 seconds
two short beeps will be heard. (When the ’’ feature is enabled, the LCD
will show the ‘New message warning’ symbol (G3) and a number of
new messages).
To disable the feature press and hold the STOP button [13]
until a short beep is heard confirming the deactivation of the
feature. The LCD [3] shows the letters “bf”.
Note:
In the stand-by mode the LCD [3] will show the total number of
recorded messages (both new and old ones). When the ‘New
message warning’ feature is enabled, the LCD will show only the
number of the new messages.
2-way recording
Your answering machine lets you record the conversation of
both speaking sides from any moment during the telephone conversation.
Press and hold the MEMO button [10] for 4 seconds, until a
long beep followed by two short ones will be heard; after that the
telephone will start recording your conversation. The LCD [3] will
display “2r”. (During recording the LCD will show the ‘2-way
recording’ (G4) symbol).
To stop recording press the STOP button [13].
‘Only answer’ mode
Your answering machine may be set to 'Only answer' mode,
when the caller is not able to leave a message to you.
Press and hold the ANS ON/OFF button [11] until a short
beep is heard. The ‘Outgoing message 2’ (OGM2) will be played
back.
The caller will hear the OGM2.
Note:
In 'Answer only mode' the LCD [3] will show the flashing autoanswer symbol (G1) as if the answering machine was turned off.
Switching to normal mode
To switch to normal mode press and hold the ANS ON/OFF
button [11] until a short beep is heard. The ‘Outgoing message 1’
(OGM1) will be played back.
The caller will hear the OGM1 and may leave a message to
you that will be recorded by the answering machine.
VIP code
VIP-code is a code that you may set on your answering machine. You may relay this code to several users (e.g. your family),
and they will be able to advise you on important news.The VIPcode consists of four digits, factory preset is 0001.
Setting the VIP-code
Press and hold the << button [6] until the words ‘Please enter
the VIP Code’ are heard.
Using the << [6] and >> [7] buttons select the first digit of the code.
Press the ANS ON/OFF button [11] to confirm the selected digit.
Repeat the above actions to input second, third and fourth digits.
Note:
If you disconnect the phone from the power supply and the
batteries are missing, the VIP-code will be reset to the standard
value of '0001'.

Using the VIP-code
If you are home and your answering machine is in auto-answer
mode, then the callers possessing of you VIP-code may communicate to
you a request to answer their calls.
To do this, a caller should:
Wait for answering machine answer.
During the 'Outgoing message' (OGM) playback press the '*'
(asterisk) button twice.
Wait for a long beep.
Enter the VIP-code.
After entering of the VIP-code a long beep also will be heard.
When the caller enters the VIP-code your answering machine
will sound a long (30 seconds) loud beep to inform you on the
request to answer the call.
The answering machine remote operation
Remote operation code
Your answering machine may be operated from an external
touch tone telephone. To do that the remote access code (IDcode) is needed. The factory preset for ID-code is '0000'.
To change the ID-code:
Press and hold the >> button [7] until the words ‘Please enter
your ID-code’ are heard.
By pressing the << [6] or >> [7] buttons, select the first digit of
the ID-code.
Press the ANS ON/OFF button [11] to confirm the selection.
Repeat the above actions to input second, third and fourth
digits.
Note:
If you disconnect the phone from the power supply and the
batteries are missing, the ID-code will be reset to standard value of
'0000'.
Answering machine remote operation
Calling your number from a touch tone phone.
During the 'Outgoing message' (OGM) playback press the '*'
(asterisk) button twice. The OGM playback will stop.
Enter your ID-code.
Note:
If you entered the correct code, you will hear two beeps, if not
– four beeps. If the code was wrong, you may re-enter it two
times more. If all three codes were wrong, the answering machine
disconnects the call.
To listen to the messages, press '5'.
During messages playback
Enter '99' to stop playback.
Enter '44' to repeat current message playback.
Enter '55' to pause the playback; enter '5'to resume.
Enter '66' to listen to next message.
Enter '77' to erase the current message.
Enter '88' to return to the first message.
Other action that may be performed in remote
mode
Enter '1' to listen to OGM1.
Enter '2' to listen to OGM2.

Enter '3' to turn the auto-answer mode on/off.
Enter '*1' to record OGM1 (Press any button to stop recording; the ‘outgoing message’ will automatically be played back).
Enter '*2, to record OGM2 (Press any button to stop recording; the ‘outgoing message’ will automatically be played back).
Enter '*3' to disable the ’Answer only’ mode. Appropriate
‘outgoing message’ will automatically be played back
Enter '*4' to change the VIP-code – enter the new code twice.
Enter '*5' to change the ID-code – enter the new code twice.
Enter '*6' to save all of your messages.
Enter '*7' to erase all of tour messages.
Enter '*8' to listen to what is going on near your answering
machine for 15 seconds. Enter '*8' to keep on listening.
Enter '*9' to disconnect.
Remote activation of your answering machine
Calling your number from a touch tone phone.
After 15 rings the answering machine will answer and you will
hear a long beep. Enter your ID-code. If you entered the correct
code, you will hear two beeps, if not – four beeps. If the code was
wrong, you may re-enter it two times more. If all three codes were
wrong, the answering machine disconnects the call.
If you have entered the right code, you will hear a beep and
your answering machine now is in normal answering mode
(OGM1). If you are not going to perform any other operations,
just hang up.
Memory full
When the memory of your answering machine is full, or 60
messages were recorded, the machine switches to the 'Answer
only' mode. The LCD shows the word “FULL”.
Note:
To prevent the answering machine memory overfilling, you
should erase the messages after listening to them.
Power outages
At your power network outage, if the batteries were not installed or are dead, all of your settings will be reset to standard
(factory preset) values.
Note:
When the batteries are low, the LCD shows the “Batteries low'
sign (G2).

switch is in right position
- Disconnect the phone from the
line, wait for 30 seconds and reconnect
- Check that the phone line cord is

phones on the single phone line
- Check the position of the 'Ringer
Volume' switch
- Check the correctness of the
stored number

МЕРЫ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ
При работе ст елефонным аппаратом необходимо
соблюдать следующие меры предосторожности:
Не следует чистить аппарат с помощью химических
растворителей, абразивных материалов, распылителей –
они могут проникнуть внутрь устройства и стать причиной
повреждений, на которые не распространяется действие
гарантии. При необходимости протрите устройство
влажной салфеткой.
Не подвергайте телефон воздействию высоких температур,
влажности и сильного солнечного излучения.
Были предприняты все необходимые меры для обеспечения
соответствия аппарата стандартам качества. Тем не менее,
при возникновении повреждений не пытайтесь произво-
дить ремонт самостоятельно.
Не следует устанавливать телефон вблизи раковин, ванной
комнаты, душа или других источников повышенной
влажности. Электрическое оборудование может стать
причиной серьезных травм, если Вы пользуетесь им, будучи
мокрым или стоя в воде.
Если базовый блок упал в воду, не берите его, пока не
отключите вилку сетевого адаптера из розетки; затем выта-
щите базовый блок за отсоединенные провода.

Для питания данного прибора используются химические
источники постоянного тока, при эксплуатации которых
необходимо соблюдать следующие меры предосторожности:
Перед эксплуатацией батареек внимательно изучите
инструкцию по их применению;
Не применяйте источники питания с видимыми следами
окисления;
В случае попадания на кожу или в глаза продуктов коррозии
немедленно промыть большим количеством воды, а при
попадании во внутрь, принять большое количество
жидкости и вызвать рвоту, после чего обратиться к врачу;
Не используйте старые и новые батареи вместе;
Не бросайте батареи в огонь, т.к. они могут взорваться.
Для утилизации использованных батарей используйте
установленные законодательством правила;
Не разбирайте батареи;
Обращайтесь с батареями очень аккуратно, чтобы не
замкнуть их проводящими материалами, такими как
кольца, браслеты, ключи и т.п. Они могут нагреться и вызвать
ожоги.
