IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical coffee makers, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reducedphysical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
useof the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5. In order to minimize the risk of property damage, never place the Coffee Maker
under cabinets. Make sure the area several feet above the Coffee Maker is clear
from all furniture or cabinetry.
6. Do not open top cover while coffee is brewing.
Scalding may occur if the cover islifted or removed during the brewing cycle.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow unit to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
9. To protect against re, electrical shock and injury to persons, do not immerse
cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquids.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance

WARNING: This Coffee Maker generates heat and escaping steam during use.
Properprecautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, res, or other injury
topersons or damage to property.
1. All users of this Coffee Maker must read and understand this instruction manual
before operating or cleaning this coffee maker.
2. The cord to this coffee maker should be plugged into a 120V AC electrical outlet
only.
3. Use water only in this coffee maker! Do not put any other liquids or food products
inthis coffee maker. Do not mix or add anything to the water placed in this coffee
maker, except as instructed in the Cleaning and Maintenance Section to descale
theCoffeeMaker.
4. DO NOT attempt to move a coffee maker containing hot liquids.
Allow coffee maker to cool completely before moving.
5. Keep coffee maker at least 4 inches away from walls or other objects during
operation. Do not place any objects on top of Coffee Maker while it is operating.
Place the Coffee Maker on a surface that is resistant to heat.
6. If this Coffee Maker begins to malfunction during use, immediately switch the
ON/OFF button to the OFF (O) position and unplug the cord. Do not use or
attempt to repair the malfunctioning coffee maker.
7. If this coffee maker falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water or any other
liquid, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water! Do not use this coffee
maker after it has fallen into or has become immersed in water.
8. CAUTION: Allow 15 minutes for the coffee maker to cool sufciently before
addingwater to the water reservoir.
9. Always use fresh, cool water in your Coffee Maker. Warm water or other liquids,
except as listed in Cleaning and Maintenance section, may cause damage to
thecoffee maker.

Notes on the Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact
a qualied electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the Cord
The provided short power-supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Do not use an extension
cord with this product.
Plasticizer Warning
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the nish of the counter top
or table top or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between
the appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top. Failure to do so may
cause the nish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
Electric Power
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not
operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
appliances.

Coffee Yield
One Cup Drip Coffee Maker: 5 oz -14 oz
A 5-oz. serving is the standard size used to dene a cup of coffee. Your Coffee Maker is capable of brewing
5 to 14 ounce (142 ml to 410 ml) servings. To dispense the most accurate serving size, ll your mug or bowl
with water to the desired level and pour it directly into reservoir.
Permanent Coffee Filter
The permanent lter included with the Coffee Maker eliminates the need for disposable papers lters.
Use the handle on the permanent coffee lter to remove it from the lter basket; discard used coffee grounds,
rinse the lter and replace it in the unit.
IMPORTANT: Do not exceed the MAX line on the permanent lter.

Before Using for the First Time
1. Remove all packing material and labels from the inside and outside of the Coffee Maker. Place the unit
on a at, clean surface.
2. Before preparing coffee, thoroughly clean the removable lter holder and permanent cof fee lter in hot,
soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The permanent lter and lter basket are all top rack dishwasher
safe. Replace disassembled par ts. See Care & Cleaning Instructions for a more detailed description.
3. To clean the inside of the Coffee Maker, brew 12-14 oz of cold water (see Brewing Instructions).
Do not use the permanent coffee lter or ground coffee for this initial cleaning.
NOTE: At the end of the rst cycle, allow 15 minutes for the unit to cool.

Brewing Instructions
There are 2 level settings available to accommodate different cup sizes: If you are brewing into a smaller
cup, you can raise the drip tray to the second setting by removing it from the base and inserting it into the
designated posts. Shortening the distance between the drip nozzle and cup will ensure there less spattering
from brewing.
CAUTION: Use extreme caution when opening the lid after brewing. Any residual water in the tank will
be discharged from the forward facing shower as hot steam.
1. Lift the lid and pour one 5 oz - 14 oz mug of cold water into the water tank. The water level indicator
lines are marked on the inside back wall of the unit.
IMPORTANT: Before brewing, always check to make sure the power switch is set to the OFF (O) position
and that there is at least 4 oz of water in the water tank. Never exceed the 14 oz ll line.
2. Place an empt y mug on the drip tray.
3. If required, place the permanent lter in the removable lter basket.
4. Plug the Coffee Maker into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet only.
5. Set the power switch to the ON (-) position. It will illuminate and the Coffee Maker will begin
the brew cycle.
NOTE: To interrupt the brewing process at any time, turn switch to OFF (O); then remove plug
from wall outlet.
6. Upon completion of the brew cycle, do not remove the mug until the dripping has ceased.
7. Set the switch to the OFF (O) position and unplug the Coffee Maker from the wall outlet.
Ground Coffee
Use standard drip coffee grind.
IMPORTANT: Do not exceed the MAX line on the permanent lter.
1. Place the permanent lter in the removable lter basket. Add ground coffee and close lid.
Approximately 1 level tablespoon is recommended per cup (5 oz) of cof fee desired. For stronger or
milder coffee, adjust amount of coffee ground to suit your taste.
2. Using the desired cup size as your measure, add cold water to the water tank.
3. Fix the drip tray to the appropriate level, center the mug under the nozzle and follow steps 4-7 from the
brewing instructions.
NOTE: The amount of brewed coffee will always be less than the amount of water placed into the water
reservoir; as much as 10% is absorbed by coffee grounds and lter.
Tea Bags
1. Remove the permanent lter from the removable lter basket.
2. Using the desired cup size as your measure, add cold water to the water tank. The suggested serving
size for 1 cup of tea is 8oz.
3. Place one tea bag into your cup.
4. Fix the drip tray to the appropriate level, center the mug under the nozzle and follow steps 4-7 from the
brewing instructions.
5. Allow the water and tea bag to steep in the cup for approximately 2-3 minutes or to desired taste.
Loose Tea
1. Place the permanent lter in the removable lter basket. Add the desired amount of loose tea
to the permanent lter and close lid.
2. Add the desired cup size as your measure, add cold water to the water tank. The suggested serving size
for 1 cup of tea is 8oz.
3. Fix the drip tray to the appropriate level, center the mug under the nozzle and follow steps 4-7 from the
brewing instructions.
Oatmeal
1. Remove the permanent lter from the removable lter basket.
2. Using the desired cup size as your measure, add cold water to the water tank. The suggested serving
size is 1 cup (4oz or 125ml) of cold water to 33g of oatmeal (or as directed on the oatmeal packaging).
3. Empty the contents from one package (approximately 33g) of instant oatmeal into the cup.
4. Fix the drip tray to the appropriate level, center the cup under the nozzle and follow steps 4-7 from
the brewing instructions.
NOTE: to control the consistency of the oatmeal, adjust the amount of water accordingly.
Cup of Soup
1. Remove the permanent lter from the removable lter basket.

2. Using the desired cup size as your measure, add cold water to the water tank. The suggested serving
size for 1 cup of soup is 5oz of cold water for 13g of soup mix (or as directed on the packaging).
3. Empty the contents from one instant soup package (approximately 13g) directly into the cup.
4. Fix the drip tray to the appropriate level, center the cup under the nozzle and follow steps 4-7 from the
brewing instructions.
5. When brewing is complete, stir the contents and allow them to steep for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Hot Chocolate & Hot Cider
1. Remove the permanent lter from the removable lter basket.
2. Using the desired cup size as your measure, add cold water to the water tank. The suggested serving
size for 1 cup of hot chocolate or hot cider is 7.5oz of cold water for 21g of hot chocolate or cider mix
(or as directed on the packaging).
3. Empty the contents from the drink package (approximately 21g) directly into the cup.
4. Fix the drip tray to the appropriate level, center the cup under the nozzle and follow steps 4-7 from the
brewing instructions.
5. When brewing is complete, stir the contents and allow them to steep for an additional 1-2 minutes.
NOTE: adjust the amount of water to taste
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user-serviceable parts. Any servicing requiring
disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a qualied appliance repair technician.
Care & Cleaning Instructions
1. Always make sure the Coffee Maker is unplugged before attempting to clean.
2. Remove the permanent cof fee lter and lter basket, discard used cof fee grounds or loose tea and rinse
both pieces thoroughly after every use.
The permanent lter and lter basket are top rack dishwasher safe.
3.
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove dust and supercial stains. For stubborn stains, use a
nylon or plastic pad with a non-abrasive cleanser. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers.
4. Dry and replace disassembled parts. Make sure the removable lter holder drops down and is properly
seated into the housing.
5. Close the lid.
6. Never immerse unit in water or any other liquid.
Descaling
It is recommended to perform a special cleaning of your Coffee Maker at least once a month, depending
on frequency of use and quality of water used in the unit. If water in your area is especially hard, the following
cleaning procedure should be performed more regularly. Excessive accumulation of mineral deposits from
hard water can detract from the avor of the coffee and possibly lengthen brew time. Excessive steaming or
prolonged brew time are signs that cleaning is needed.
1. Fill a 14 oz mug with 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts cold water. Pour water and vinegar solution into
the water tank
2. Center the empty mug on the drip tray under the nozzle.
3. Turn switch to ON (I) to start brew cycle, allowing all of the solution to drip into the mug.
NOTE: During cleaning, more steam will occur than during normal coffee brewing.
4. When liquid stops dripping from lter holder into the mug, Turn switch to OFF (O), remove the mug
and allow liquid to cool for 15 minutes. When cooled, repeat steps 1-4 a second time.
5. Allow Coffee Maker to cool for 15 minutes, rinse by brewing a full mug of cold water. Insert the clean
permanent coffee lter into the removable lter basket before brewing. This step may need to be
repeated in order to remove any remaining vinegar taste.
6. At end of brew cycle, set the power switch to the OFF (O) position, discard the water in the mug.
Wash the mug, permanent cof fee lter and removable lter holder in warm, soapy water and dry
the parts thoroughly.
7. When the Coffee Maker has cooled, wipe the exterior with a dry cloth.
Storing Instructions
1. Unplug unit and allow it to cool completely.
2. Store Coffee Maker in its box or in a cool, dr y place.
3. Never store unit while it is still hot or still plugged in.
4. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance.
5. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray.

Hints for Great Tasting Coffee
• A clean Coffee Maker is essential for making great tasting coffee. Regular cleaning, as described
in the Care & Cleaning Instructions and Descaling sections of this Instruction Manual is highly
recommended.
• Always use fresh, cold water in your Coffee Maker.
• Finer grinds promote fuller extraction and provide rich, full-bodied coffee. Regular grind will require
slightly more coffee per cup to provide the strength of a ner grind.
• Store coffee in an airtight container and in a cool, dry place.
• For optimum cof fee avor, buy whole beans and grind them nely just before brewing.
• Do not re-use coffee grounds since this will greatly impair coffee avor.
• Reheating coffee is not recommended. Coffee is at its peak avor immediately af ter brewing.
• Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee is due to the extraction of oil from the coffee
grounds. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used. Over extraction may
also cause oiliness, indicating a need to clean your Coffee Maker.

Limited TWO-YEAR Warranty
SENSIO Inc. hereby warrants that for a period of TWO YEARS from the date
of purchase, this product will be free from mechanical defects in material and
workmanship, and for 90 days in respect to non-mechanical parts. At its sole
discretion, SENSIO Inc. will either repair or replace the product found to be defective,
or issue a refund on the product during the warranty period.
The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial
retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of
purchase is required to obtain warranty validation. Retail stores selling this product
do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of
the warranty.
EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from
any of the following: negligent use of the product, use of improper voltage or
current, improper routine maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions,
disassembly, repair, or alteration by anyone other than qualied SENSIO Inc.
personnel. Also, the warranty does not cover Acts of God such as re, oods,
hurricanes, or tornadoes.
SENSIO Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused
by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular
purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the
above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. The warranty covers specic
legal rights which may vary by state, province and/or jurisdiction.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
You must contact Customer Service at our toll-free number: 1-866-832-4843.
A Customer Service Representative will attempt to resolve warranty issues over
the phone. If the Customer Service Representative is unable to resolve the problem,
you will be provided with a case number and asked to return the product to SENSIO
Inc. Attach a tag to the product that includes: your name, address, daytime contact
telephone number, case number, and description of the problem. Also, include a
copy of the original sales receipt. Carefully package the tagged product with the sales
receipt, and send it (with shipping and insurance prepaid) to SENSIO Inc.’s address.
SENSIO Inc. shall bear no responsibility or liability for the returned product while in
transit to SENSIO Inc.’s Customer Service Center.

Notas sobre el enchufe
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más ancha que la otra).
Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe se debe colocar
en un tomacorriente polarizado en una sola dirección. Si el enchufe no entra
completamente en el tomacorriente, dé vuelta el enchufe. Si aun así no encaja,
llame a un electricista calicado. No modique el enchufe de ninguna manera.
Notas sobre el cable
Se debe usar el cable de alimentación corto provisto para reducir el riesgo de
enredarse o tropezarse con un cable más largo. No utilice un cable de extensión con
este producto.

Rendimiento del café
Una taza de la cafetera de ltro: 142 ml a 410 ml (5 onzas a 14 onzas)
Una dosis de 142 ml (5 onzas) es la medida estándar para una taza de café. Su cafetera puede elaborar dosis
de 142 ml a 410 ml (5 onzas a 14 onzas). Para obtener la dosis más exacta, llene la taza o el recipiente con agua
hasta el nivel deseado y vierta el contenido directamente en el depósito.
Filtro permanente para café
El ltro permanente que incluye la cafetera suprime el uso de ltros de papel desechables. Use el mango
del ltro permanente para café para quitar el ltro de la cesta ltrante; deseche los granos de café molidos
usados, enjuague el ltro y vuelva a colocarlo en la unidad.
IMPORTANTE: No exceda la línea MAX en el ltro permanente.

Antes de utilizar por primera vez
1. Quite todos los materiales de empaque y las etiquetas del interior y exterior de la cafetera.
Coloque la unidad sobre una super cie plana y limpia.
2. Antes de preparar el café, limpie minuciosamente la taza, el soporte de ltro desmontable y el ltro
permanente para café con agua caliente y jabón. Enjuáguelos minuciosamente y séquelos. El ltro
permanente y el soporte de ltro desmontable pueden lavarse en el estante superior del lavavajillas.
Vuelva a colocar las piezas desarmadas (consulte las Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza para obtener
una descripción más detallada).
3. Para limpiar el interior de la cafetera, prepare 354 ml a 410 ml (12 onzas a 14 onzas) de agua fría
(consulte las Instrucciones de elaboración). No use el ltro permanente para café ni café molido para
esta limpieza inicial.
NOTA: Al nalizar el primer ciclo, deje enfriar la unidad durante 15 minutos.

Instrucciones de elaboración
Hay 2 niveles disponibles para usar tazas de diferentes tamaños: Si va a colar el café dentro de una taza
más pequeña, puede levantar la bandeja de goteo hasta el segundo nivel. Para hacerlo, quítela de la base
e introdúzcala en el puesto designado. Si acorta la distancia entre la boquilla de goteo y la taza, garantizará
que la elaboración ocasione menos salpicaduras.
PRECAUCIÓN: Tenga cuidado al abrir la tapa despues de la elaboración. El agua residual que está
en el tanque saldrá en forma de vapor caliente por la regadera orientada hacia adelante.
1. Levante la tapa y vier ta una taza de 142 ml a 410 ml (5 onzas a 14 onzas) de agua fría en el tanque de
agua. Las líneas indicadoras de nivel de agua están marcadas en la pared trasera interior de la unidad.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de la elaboración, procure corroborar siempre que el interruptor esté en la
posición de apagado (O) y que el nivel de agua es de al menos de 4 onzas. Nunca debe superar la línea
de llenado de 410 ml (14 onzas).
2. Coloque una taza vacía en la bandeja de goteo.
3. Si es necesario, coloque el ltro permanente en el sopor te de ltro desmontable.
4. Enchufe la cafetera únicamente a un tomacorriente eléctrico de pared de 120 V de CA.
5. Presione el interruptor para encender el aparato (posición “-”). Este se iluminará y la cafetera
comenzará el ciclo de elaboración.
NOTA: Para interrumpir el proceso de elaboración en cualquier momento, presione el interruptor para
apagar el aparato (posición “O”); luego, desconecte el enchufe del tomacorriente de pared.
6. Finalizado el ciclo de elaboración, no quite la taza hasta que el goteo haya cesado.
7. Presione el interruptor para apagar el aparato (posición “O”) y desenchufe la cafetera del tomacorriente
de pared.
Café molido
Use una molienda de café de ltro estándar.
IMPORTANTE: No exceda la línea MAX en el ltro permanente.
1. Coloque el ltro permanente en el soporte de ltro desmontable. Agregue el café molido y cierre
la tapa. Se recomienda aproximadamente 1 cucharada sopera por cada taza (142 ml/5 onzas) de café.
Para obtener un café más fuerte o más suave, regule la cantidad de café molido para que se adapte
a su gusto.
2. Use el tamaño de taza elegido como medida para agregar agua fría al tanque de agua.
3. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en el nivel adecuado, centre la taza debajo de la boquilla y siga los pasos
4 a 7 de las instrucciones de elaboración.
NOTA: La cantidad de café elaborado siempre será inferior a la cantidad de agua que se colocó en el
depósito de agua, ya que los granos de café molidos y el ltro absorben un 10 %.
Bolsas de té
1. Quite el ltro permanente del soporte de ltro desmontable.
2. Use el tamaño de taza elegido como medida para agregar agua fría al tanque. La dosis sugerida para 1
taza de té es de 236 ml (8 onzas).
3. Coloque una bolsa de té en la taza.
4. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en el nivel adecuado, centre la taza debajo de la boquilla y siga los pasos 4
a 7 de las instrucciones de elaboración.
5. Deje reposar el agua y la bolsa de té en la taza durante aproximadamente 2 a 3 minutos, o a gusto.
Té en hebras
1. Coloque el ltro permanente en el soporte de ltro desmontable. Agregue la cantidad de té en hebras
deseada al ltro permanente y cierre la tapa.
2. Use el tamaño de taza elegido como medida para agregar agua fría al tanque de agua. La dosis sugerida
para 1 taza de té es de 236 ml (8 onzas).
3. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en el nivel adecuado, centre la taza debajo de la boquilla y siga los pasos
4 a 7 de las instrucciones de elaboración.
Avena
1. Quite el ltro permanente del soporte de ltro desmontable.
2. Use el tamaño de taza elegido como medida para agregar agua fría al tanque de agua. La dosis sugerida
para una taza de avena es de 4 onzas (125 ml) de agua fría para 33 g de preparación de avena.
3. Vacíe el contenido de un paquete (aproximadamente 33 g) de avena instantánea en la taza.
4. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en el nivel adecuado, centre la taza debajo de la boquilla y siga los pasos
4 a 7 de las instrucciones de elaboración.
NOTA: Para controlar la consistencia de la avena, regule la cantidad de agua.

Taza de sopa
1. Quite el ltro permanente del soporte de ltro desmontable.
2. Use el tamaño de taza elegido como medida para agregar agua fría al tanque de agua. La dosis sugerida
para una taza de sopa es de 5 onzas (142 ml) de agua fría para 13g de preparación de sopa.
3. Vacíe el contenido de un paquete de sopa instantánea (aproximadamente 13 g) directamente en la taza.
4. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en el nivel adecuado, centre la taza debajo de la boquilla y siga los pasos
4 a 7 de las instrucciones de elaboración.
5. Al nalizar la elaboración, mezcle el contenido y déjelo reposar durante 1 o 2 minutos más.
Chocolate o sidra calientes
1. Quite el ltro permanente del soporte de ltro desmontable.
2. Use el tamaño de taza elegido como medida para agregar agua fría al tanque de agua. La dosis sugerida
para una taza de chocolate o sidra es de 7.5oz de agua fría para 21g de chocolate o preparación de cidra
(o como sugerido en el envase).
3. Vacíe el contenido de un paquete de bebida (aproximadamente 21 g) directamente en la taza.
4. Coloque la bandeja de goteo en el nivel adecuado, centre la taza debajo de la boquilla y siga los pasos
4 a 7 de las instrucciones de elaboración.
5. Al nalizar la elaboración, mezcle el contenido y déjelo reposar durante 1 o 2 minutos más.
NOTA: Regule la cantidad de agua a gusto.
Instrucciones de mantenimiento para el usuario
Este aparato requiere de poco mantenimiento y no contiene piezas que el usuario pueda reparar. Cualquier
servicio en el que la unidad deba desarmarse, con la excepción de la limpieza, debe realizarlo un técnico
de reparación de aparatos eléctricos calicado.
Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza
1. Procure siempre que la cafetera esté desenchufada antes de intentar limpiarla.
2. Quite el ltro permanente para café y el soporte de ltro, deseche los elementos usados: granos de café
molidos, té en hebras o cápsulas, y enjuague ambas piezas minuciosamente luego de cada uso.
NOTA: El ltro permanente de café, y el soporte de ltro pueden lavarse en el estante superior del
lavavajillas.
3. Limpie el exterior con un paño húmedo para eliminar el polvo y las manchas superciales. Para las
manchas difíciles, use una almohadilla de nilón o plástico con un limpiador no abrasivo. No use
esponjas metálicas abrasivas ni limpiadores abrasivos.
4. Seque las piezas desarmadas y vuelva a colocarlas. Procure que el sopor te de ltro desmontable
se despliegue y esté correctamente colocado en la carcasa.
5. Cierre la tapa.
6. Nunca sumerja la unidad en agua u otros líquidos.
Desincrustación
Se recomienda hacer una limpieza especial a su cafetera al menos una vez al mes, de acuerdo con la
frecuencia de uso y la calidad de agua que se usa en la unidad. Si el agua de su zona es especialmente dura,
debe realizar el siguiente procedimiento de limpieza más asiduamente. La acumulación excesiva de depósitos
minerales del agua dura puede aplacar el sabor del café y, probablemente, extender el tiempo de elaboración.
La generación de vapor excesiva o el tiempo de elaboración prolongado son indicios de que el aparato
necesita una limpieza.
1. Llene una taza de 14 oz con 1 medida de vinagre blanco por 3 medidas de agua fría. Vierta la solución
de agua y vinagre en el tanque de agua.
2. Centre la taza vacía en la bandeja de goteo, debajo de la boquilla.
3. Presione el interruptor para encender el aparato (posición “I”) e iniciar el ciclo de elaboración, y permita
que la solución en su totalidad gotee en la taza.
NOTA: Durante la limpieza, saldrá más vapor que durante el ciclo de elaboración de café normal.
4. Cuando el líquido deje de gotear del sopor te de ltro a la taza, presione el interruptor para apagar
el aparato (posición “O”), quite la taza y deje que el líquido se enfríe durante 15 minutos. Una vez frío,
repita los pasos 1 a 4 otra vez.
5. Deje que la cafetera se enfríe durante 15 minutos, y prepare una taza llena de agua fría para enjuagar la
cafetera. Introduzca el ltro permanente para café limpio en la cesta ltrante desmontable antes de comenzar
la elaboración. Es posible que deba repetir este paso para eliminar el gusto a vinagre que permanece.
6. Al nalizar el ciclo de elaboración, presione el interruptor para apagar el aparato (posición “O”) y vacíe
el agua de la taza. Lave la taza, el ltro permanente para café y el soporte de ltro desmontable con
agua tibia y jabón, y seque las piezas minuciosamente.
7. Cuando la cafetera se haya enfriado, limpie el exterior con un paño seco.

Instrucciones de almacenamiento
1. Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe por completo.
2. Guarde la cafetera en su caja o en un lugar fresco y seco.
3. Nunca almacene la unidad si está caliente o enchufada.
4. Nunca ate el cable de forma ceñida alrededor del aparato.
5. No ejerza fuerza sobre el cable cuando lo introduce en el aparato, ya que esto podría ocasionar
que el cable se desgaste.
Consejos para lograr un café sumamente delicioso
• Para lograr un café sumamente delicioso es crucial que la cafetera esté limpia. Se recomienda
fervientemente realizar una limpieza periódica, según describen las Instrucciones de cuidado y limpieza
y la sección de Desincrustación de este manual de instrucciones.
• Siempre use agua fresca y fría en su cafetera.
• La molienda más na contribuye a una extracción más completa, y brinda un café más rico y
concentrado. La molienda común requerirá un poco más de café por taza para obtener la intensidad de
una molienda más na.
• Guarde el café en un recipiente hermético y en un lugar fresco y seco. Una vez abierto el café,
mantenga el envase cerrado herméticamente en el refrigerador para conser var la frescura.
• Para que el café tenga un sabor óptimo, compre granos enteros y tritúrelos en pedacitos menudos justo
antes de comenzar la elaboración.
• No vuelva a usar los granos de café molidos, ya que aplacarán signicativamente el sabor del café.
• No se recomienda recalentar el café. El sabor del café alcanza su punto ideal inmediatamente luego
de la elaboración.
• Las gotitas de aceite que aparecen en la supercie del café negro elaborado se deben a la extracción
de aceite de los granos de café molidos. La oleosidad puede ocurrir más frecuentemente si se usan
granos de café muy tostados. La extracción en exceso también puede generar oleosidad, lo que indica
que debe limpiar la cafetera.

Garantía limitada de DOS AÑOS
Mediante la presente, SENSIO Inc. garantiza que, durante el plazo de DOS AÑOS a
partir de la fecha de compra, este producto no presentará defectos mecánicos en el
material ni en la mano de obra, y durante 90 días, no los presentará en las piezas no
mecánicas. A su entera discreción, SENSIO Inc. reparará o reemplazará el producto
que resulte defectuoso, o emitirá un reembolso por el producto durante el plazo de
garantía.
Esta garantía es válida únicamente para el comprador minorista original a partir de la
fecha de compra minorista inicial y no es transferible. Conserve el recibo de compra
original, ya que se exige una prueba de compra para obtener la validación de la
garantía. Las tiendas minoristas no tienen derecho a alterar, modicar ni corregir de
ninguna manera los términos y condiciones de la garantía.
EXCLUSIONES:
La garantía no cubre el desgaste normal de las piezas ni el daño ocasionado por

o corriente incorrectos, mantenimiento de rutina inadecuado, uso contrario al de
las instrucciones de funcionamiento, desarmado, reparación o alteración a cargo de
personas que no sean miembros del personal calicado de SENSIO Inc. Asimismo, la
garantía no cubre actos de la naturaleza, como incendios, inundaciones, huracanes o
tornados.
SENSIO Inc. no asumirá responsabilidad por daños incidentales o resultantes
ocasionados por la violación de cualquier garantía expresa o implícita. Salvo en
la medida en que lo prohíban las leyes aplicables, cualquier garantía implícita de
comerciabilidad o aptitud para un propósito particular se limita temporalmente a la
