This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified

BEFORE USiNG FOR THE FiRST TiME
1. Remove all packing material and labels from the inside and outside of the fondue pot,
fork ring, heating base, and each of 6 fondue forks.
2. Wash fondue pot, fork ring, fondue forks in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

OPERATiNG iNSTRUCTiONS
1. Place the Fondue Maker heating base on a clean, dry, flat, heat-resistant surface such
as a table or counter top, approximately 2 feet from a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
2. Plug the Fondue Maker into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
3. Slide the temperature control to the desired cooking temperature.
4. The red HEATING light will illuminate as the Fondue Maker heats. When the selected
cooking temperature is reached, the red HEATING light will turn OFF. As the Electric
Fondue Maker heats, the red HEATING light will cycle on and off as proper cooking
temperature of the fondue is maintained.
5. When the fondue is ready to serve, add the fork ring to the top edge of the fondue pot.
6. Give each guest* a colored fondue fork to skewer assorted dipper foods; then cook
or bathe dippers in the luxurious hot fondue. Use the fork ring to rest forks of dipped
food over the fondue pot for a few seconds to allow the excess fondue to drip into
the pot and to cool slightly before eating.
7. When the fondue meal is completed, slide the temperature control to MIN, unplug
the polarized plug from the wall outlet and allow fondue pot and fork ring to cool.
CAUTION: Always use fondue pot handles to adjust or move heated fondue pot.

USER MAiNTENANCE iNSTRUCTiONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts.
Do not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than cleaning
must be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
CARE & CLEANiNG iNSTRUCTiONS
WARNING! Allow the fondue pot to cool fully before emptying and cleaning.
1. Make sure your Fondue Maker is unplugged and the fondue pot has cooled completely
before cleaning.
2. The fondue pot, fork ring, and 6 fondue forks may be washed in a dishwasher or by hand
in hot, soapy water.
3. To remove cooked-on food, soak the fondue pot in dish washing soap and water.
Use a non-abrasive cleaning pad or sponge to remove any residue, inside and out.
CAUTION: To prevent scratches and damage to the finish on the fondue pot or fork ring,
do not use metal scouring pads or harsh scouring powders.
4. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
WARNING: Never immerse the heating base, power cord or plug in water or other liquids.
CAUTION: Make sure the fondue pot is completely dry after washing and before use.
5. Wipe Electric Fondue Maker body with a damp cloth and dry completely.
STORiNG iNSTRUCTiONS
1. Make sure your Fondue Maker is unplugged and all parts are clean and dry
before storing.
2. Never store Fondue Maker while it is hot or wet.
3. Store appliance assembled with fork ring on top of the fondue pot. Store Fondue Maker
in its box or in a clean, dry place. Keep clean fondue forks handy for future use.

through sweet and sometimes spicy goodness. Today, a lighter Asian Hot Pot fondue,
savory and flavorful, has become very fashionable.
1. Set the Fondue Maker in the middle of the table where all guests can reach it easily.
2. Prepare and arrange all dipping food (dippers) on platters within easy reach of guests.
3. When serving broth fondues, offer guests a variety of dipping sauces to provide unique
and individual flavors for everyone.
4. Provide each guest with small plates and bowls to place and eat their cooked food.
5. Provide each guest with a colored fondue fork for cooking; silverware or chopsticks
for eating.
6. Use the fork ring to rest fondue forks of dipped food over the fondue pot for
a few seconds to allow extra fondue to drip into the pot and to cool slightly before eating.

6 small onions, cut in rings
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
6 cups natural low sodium beef consomme or broth
6 cups natural low sodium vegetable or mushroom consomme or broth
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons aged soy sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup snipped chives

1. Sauté onions and garlic and then add the remaining ingredients
2. Simmer the broth for at least 1 hour. To begin, add 8 cups hot broth
to the fondue pot. Make sure the fondue pot is 2/3 full; ladle additional broth
into fondue pot as needed. Keep the broth at simmer throughout the meal,
3. For easier cutting, partially freeze boneless beef and poultry,
then cut into paper thin slices, no more than 1/4 inch thick.

7. To fully enjoy the experience and varied avors of a communal
Asian Hot Pot fondue party, serve a variety of dipping sauces. You will need
at least 1/2 cup of each type of sauce. Dips can be prepared 1 day to
a few hours in advance. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
