
BEHRINGER REV2496 QUICK START GUIDE
The V-VERB PRO REV2496 is a reference-class reverb modeler that simulates some of the world’s most
renowned reverb processors. It draws its strength from two independent effects processors that can be
accessed via both analog and digital connectors. It also features 8 high-end reverb algorithms modeled
after world-class reverb processors plus additional high-quality effects such as Digital Delay,
Chorus/Flanger, Stereo Compressor plus much, much more
Accessing and Editing ROM and RAM ( ROM=factory, RAM=user ) presets
• Press the ENGINE A button
• Use the Large Data Wheel to select a preset
• Press “OK” to load the program.
• Four “knob” graphics will appear in the lower half of the display
• Turn the four A, B, C, or D edit knobs to adjust parameters. Each hardware knob corresponds to the four ‘virtual’
knobs displayed onscreen.
• Many of the higher-numbered presets also include other studio-quality 24-bit, 96kHz DSP-based effects, such as
compression, chorus, flange, and complex delay algorithms.
REV 2496 Factory Reset Procedure
• Hold down the STORE button while turning on the power to the REV2496.
• Press the OK/TAP button when asked to confirm.
Accessing the I/O Menu
• Press the SETUP key
• Once SETUP is pressed, press the PAGE LEFT and PAGE RIGHT keys to select between the following features
• Turn A / B / C / D Edit Knobs to control the relative parameter on-screen, then push-in the knob to select/enter the
desired data in the various menus:
• I/O Menu Î Allows user to select input and output setup options:
o Master Input = Analog or Digital
o Input Mode = Mono or Stereo
o Wet/Dry Mix = Internal or External where Internal = wet/dry mix controlled from REV2496, External =
wet/dry mix controlled from e.g. mixer aux send
o LCD Control = Controls the brightness of the LCD screen on the REV2496
• DIGI Menu Î Allows user to select the digital source, sync options, etc.
o Clock Source = 44.1K, 48K, 96K, Digital Input, or Wordclock
o Input Source (Digital) = XLR or OPT
o Dither = On / Off
o Output Format = AES3 or S/PDIF options available
• GAIN Menu Î Allows user to control overall gain for both Analog and Digital inputs and outputs
o Analog Input / Analog Output = gain offset for analog in and out
o Digital Input / Digital Output = gain offset for digital in and out
• MIDI Menu Î Allows user to setup REV2496’s MIDI Control Capability
o User can setup separate MIDI channels for ENGINE A, B, and COMBI presets
o User can setup MIDI messages to be transmitted/received/ignored
Demonstrating COMBI Dual-DSP Multi-Effect Programs
• Press the COMBI button to access the COMBI presets.
• Press “OK” to load the desired preset.
Demonstrating the TAP TEMPO Feature
• Use the Large Data Wheel to select a DELAY preset such as “ROM 009”.
• Press OK to load the program.
• Repeatedly Press the OK/TAP button at the desired tempo.
• Watch the delay time parameter change on the display.

The ULTRACURVE PRO DEQ2496 is an ultra high-precision digital 24-bit/96 kHz EQ/RTA mastering
processor. Its extremely high audio performance makes it ideal for audiophile mastering and PA

How to reset the DEQ2496 to Factory Default condition:
• Hold down the MEMORY and COMPARE buttons while powering up the DEQ2496
• Press the B button to confirm the reset
Accessing the AUTO-EQ function:
• Press the RTA button several times until page 1 of the RTA menu is displayed
• Press the B button (next to the “AUTO EQ” indicator in the left-hand side of the display)
• Turning the Data Wheels will now adjust the target EQ curve that you want to achieve
• Press the PAGE button to advance to page 2 of the AEQ menu
• Press the A button (next to the “START AUTOEQ” indicator in the left-hand side of the display) to start the Auto-EQ
process
• Press the A button again to stop the process
• Page the PAGE button to advance to page 3 of the AEQ menu
• Press the B button (next to the “DONE” indicator in the left-hand side of the display) to exit Auto-EQ mode
Using the Graphic Equalizer function on the DEQ2496:
• Press the GEQ button to display the GEQ menu
• Turn the small Upper Data Wheel to select the frequency to work with
• Turn the small Lower Data Wheel to select the bandwidth you want to affect
• Turn the Large Data Wheel to adjust the GAIN of the frequency
• For each control you will see visual feedback from the curve in the middle of the display and the numbers on the right
of the display
Using the Parametric Equalizer function on the DEQ2496:
• Press the PEQ button several times to display page 1 of the PEQ menu
• Turn the mall Upper Data Wheel to select the frequency to work with
• Turn the small Lower Data Wheel to select the bandwidth you want to affect
• Turn the large Data Wheel to adjust the GAIN of the frequency
• For each control you will see visual feedback from the curve in the middle of the display and the numbers on the right
of the display
Accessing the Limiter function on the DEQ2496:
• power-up the DEQ2496
• press the DYN button several times until PAGE 2 of the DYN menu is displayed
• press the B button (next to the "LIMITER" indicator in the left-hand side of the display)
• use the Data Wheels to the right of the display to adjust the parameters

• press the DYN button several times until PAGE 1 of the DYN menu is displayed
• press the B button to switch between expander and compressor functions

• press the WIDTH button several times until PAGE 1 of the WIDTH menu is displayed

• press the I/O button several times until PAGE 4 of the I/O menu is displayed

• Press the METER button
• Press the METER button or the PAGE button to cycle through the three different meters (peak/RMS, SPL, VU)
Using the Module Bypass function on the DEQ2496:
• Press the BYP button
• Use the Large Data Wheel to select a module to bypass
• Press the B button to bypass the module
• Pressing the B button again will re-enable that module
