To completely disconnect this equipment

Introducing your music system

BeoSound 3 is a portable and rechargeable FM radio and memory card player.
The handle allows you to carry
it as well as hang it on the enclosed wall bracket.
Touch the operation panel on the top to switch on the radio
or start playback of tracks on a loaded SD or MMC memory card.
You can also set your system to
switch itself on and off
automatically.
The sockets on the bottom allow
you to connect the system to the mains for recharging, as well as load a memor y card and connect headphones.
DC
The LED display on the front tells
you what the system is doing.
When you switch the system to
standby, an indicator light appears in the middle of the display. The standby indicator also blinks every few seconds when the system needs to be recharged.
The standby indicator does not
appear if you switch the system to standby while it is disconnected from the mains.

Set a Wake-up Timer.
TIMER
Delete an FM program or a Wake-up Timer.
Store FM programs or system settings, such as a Wake-up Timer. Press twice to store sound volume*.
Extend and retract the built-in aerial. Allow enough space above the system for the aerial to extend.
Stop memory card playback. Set a Stop Timer.
Play music tracks on a loaded memory card.
Switch on the FM radio.
Switch on the last used source from standby, or restart
memory card playback.
Step between FM radio stations, or between memory card tracks in the current folder.
Search for an FM program or step between folders on the
memory card.
Switch the system to standby. Press and hold for five
seconds during standby to switch the system off entirely. If you have shut off the system entirely, you can restart it by connecting it to the mains.

Slide your finger around the
volume ‘wheel’ to adjust volume.
Tap lightly twice to mute sound,
and once to restore sound*.
*NOTE! You can not restore sound
to the same level if you mute it while it is over 70% of maximum volume. Sound is then restored at
70% of maximum volume. Similarly,
you can not store sound volume under 10% or over 70% of maximum volume.

Change the display mode at any time. Three settings are available. The system remembers your
settings.
– Press and hold RADIO to switch
between displaying the program number and the radio frequency.
– Press and hold A MEM to switch
between displaying source/folder and folder/track while playing memory card tracks.

The display keeps you informed about the source you have chosen and the state of the system. The types of information that can appear in the
display are shown below:
