WMB260(AC) AON Mesh
The WMB260(AC) is designed as an AON Mesh Ready device. It is made to be a Mesh Node for Aztech AIR Routers to form a mesh system. Together with Aztech AIR Router, user can roam between access points without disconnection. It will also intelligently switch user between the Wi-Fi Bands based on environment condition. Through seamless roaming, it can switch your connected devices to the strongest Wi-Fi signal available automatically. This will also reach those dead spots area, giving a seamless and efficient wireless experience.
NOTE: The Mesh Link is established through the 5.0 GHz frequency band.
Page 11

Setting up your WMB260(AC) as Mesh Node
WMB260(AC) is a Mesh-Ready device as a Mesh-Node. To set your WMB260(AC) to Mesh Node, you will need your AIR router as the main router with internet access. Your AIR router will be the Mesh Controller. Since WMB260(AC) is a Mesh Node, it does not need any initial setup. The SSID your mesh system will follow is the SSID of your 5.0 GHz network. (This is provided if your Smart AP Steering is On. If Smart AP Steering is Off, the 2.4GHz’s SSID will remain as pre-set 2.4GHz SSID).
To set up your Mesh System with WMB260(AC) as Mesh Node;
1. Position your WMB260(AC) near the AIR router and power on and wait
for the Power and Wireless LED to turn Solid Blue.
2. Press the WPS button of the AIR router for 5 seconds.
3. Press the WPS button of the WMB260(AC) for 5 seconds.*
4. Wait for 2 minutes for the blinking to stop.
5. Wait for AON LED of AIR router and WMB260(AC) to stop blinking.
6. When the AON LED on the AIR router is solid GREEN and solid BLUE on
the WMB260(AC) node, pairing and mesh link is up and successful.
7. The whole pairing process takes up to 5 minutes.
8. You may now move your mesh node.
NOTE:
1. *There is no specific order to which WPS Button should be press first. You may also
press and hold the WPS Button of the Mesh Node first.
2. If you do not see the Mesh Controller status on your main router’s Web User Interface,
it means that your mesh pairing is unsuccessful.
3. Any changes in the configuration will result to your 2.4 GHz SSID to follow your Mesh
Network SSID.
Page 12
11
Adding More WMB260(AC) Mesh Nodes for AIR-706P
You may add additional WMB260(AC) to your mesh system as mesh nodes. This will help increase the coverage of your wireless range capacity as well as you will be able to roam without disconnection.
To add additional mesh node(s);
1. Position your mesh node near the AIR router. Power on and wait for the
Power and Wireless LED to turn Solid Blue.
2. Press the WPS button of the AIR router for 5 seconds.
3. Press the WPS button of the new mesh node for 5 seconds.
4. Wait for AON LED to stop blinking. At this point, the AON LED of your AIR router and existing node
will turn blinking red.
5. Wait for the AON LED of all the units to turn solid GREEN for the AIR
router and solid BLUE for the mesh nodes.
6. You may now move your mesh node.
7. The whole pairing process takes up to 5 minutes.
NOTE:
1. It is recommended to place your mesh nodes between the AIR router and the place
where dead zone is experienced
2. The AIR Router can have both WMB260(AC) and another AIR Router as mesh nodes in
one mesh system.

solid Blue.
b. Connect PC/Laptop to the WMB260(AC) through Ethernet. c. Launch the web browser and access the Web User Interface via
http://10.0.10.254.
d. Set the SSID (Network Name) and Network Password of WMB260(AC). You
may choose to set the SSID and Network Password the same as your main router’s SSID and Network Password.
e. Connect your Data Point/main router to the one of WMB260(AC)’s Ethernet
port using an Ethernet cable.
NOTE:
1. WMB260(AC) can be set up as an AP with any router of any brands.
Page 14
