ToaccesstheAxisproduct,youmustsetthepasswordforthedefaultadministratoruserroot.ThisisdoneintheCongureRoot
Passworddialog,whichopenswhentheproductisaccessedforthersttime.

Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS
certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The
HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPSonpage44.

Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,theproductmustbe
resettothefactorydefaultsettings.SeeResettofactorydefaultsettingsonpage56.

TosetthepasswordviaastandardHTTPconnection,enteritdirectlyinthedialog.

IfaPTZcamerahasbeenmountedtotheAXISQ6000-ESolovariant,makesuretodoafactorydefaultreset,otherwise
thecongurationwindowswillnotappear,seeResettofactorydefaultsettings.

TocalibratethePTZcamera,dothefollowing:

1.InthePTZNetworkCameraCalibrationpage,selectachanneltocalibrate.

2.AddacalibrationpointintheselectedchannelthennavigatethePTZcameratondthesamepointinthePTZcameraview.

3.ClickSave.

4.Repeatsteps2-4untiltherearefourcalibrationpointsinthechannel.

Toimprovecalibrationaccuracy,makesurethe4calibrationpointsarespreadevenlyovertheimageandatleastone
calibrationpointisclosertothecenteroftheimage.Itisnotrecommendedtoaddpointsneartheedgesoftheimage.

5.Repeatthesameprocedureforallchannels.

6.SelectFinishCalibration.

Ifyourepeatedlygetanerrormessageduringcalibration,lensandresolutionchangesmaybethecause.Youcanskipthe

howtocongureandenablethebutton,seeManualTriggeronpage12.

ClickSnapshottosaveasnapshotofthevideoimage.Thisbuttonisprimarilyintendedforusewhen
theAXISMediaControlviewertoolbarisnotavailable.EnablethisbuttonfromLiveViewCong>
ActionButtons.

Theproduct’sfaniscontrolledbytheambienttemperatureandisturnedonandoffautomatically.If
required,thefancanbeactivatedmanuallybyclickingtheFanbutton.Toshowthebutton,goto
Setup>LiveViewCong.UnderActionButtons,selectShowfanbuttonandspecifythenumberof
minutesthefanshouldbeactivated.

Theproduct’sheateriscontrolledbytheambienttemperatureandisturnedonandoffautomatically.
Ifrequired,theheatercanbeactivatedmanuallybyclickingtheHeaterbutton.Toshowthebutton,

HowtoStreamH.264

H.264can,withoutcompromisingimagequality,reducethesizeofadigitalvideolebymorethan80%comparedwiththeMotion
JPEGformatandasmuchas50%morethantheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatmuchlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace
arerequiredforavideole.Orseenanotherway,muchhighervideoqualitycanbeachievedforagivenbitrate.

Decidingwhichcombinationofprotocolsandmethodstousedependsonyourviewingrequirements,andonthepropertiesof

Toreducethebitrate,Zipstreamreducesthenumberofbitsintheareasoftheimagethatarelessinterestingfromavideo
