System requirements are described in detail on the package box. Before installing the TV tuner card and software, verify
that your PC meets the described requirements.

Hardware Installation

Step 1 : Installing the AVerTV DVB-S Pro Card

1. Turn off the PC.

2. Remove the cover.

3. Insert the AVerTV DVB-S Pro card into an empty PCI expansion slot on the motherboard.

Step 3 : Installing the Application

For Windows XP operating system users, this would install both application and the drivers at the same time. You can
run the AVerTV DVB-S Pro application upon restarting the computer.

1. The “Found New Hardware Wizard” dialog box will appear. Just click Cancel to skip the Wizard installation

procedures.

2. Place the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.

3. When the installation main screen appears, choose TV Utility Software.

4. When the dialog box about license agreement appears, click Yes to accept the agreement.

5. Choose Complete to install all the software, including AVerTV DVB-S Pro Application, and DirectX 9.0c and

then click Next. For advanced users, it is recommended to choose Custom to select the software you want to
install.

6. For Windows XP operating system users, if a warning message about Windows logo testing appears, click

Continue Anyway.

7. In the “InstallShield Wizard Complete” dialog box, if you are instructed to restart your computer, select Yes. Then

click Finish to complete the installation.

Step 4 : Installing Drivers in Windows 2000

For Windows 2000, users need to follow the instructions below to complete installing drivers after the computer is
restarted.

1. When the “Found New Hardware Wizard” dialog box appears, click Cancel.

2. If a warning message about “Digital Signature Not Found” appears, click Yes.

3. You may be asked to restart the computer again, simply click Finish or Yes.

NOTE:

1. If DirectX 9.0c or above is not installed in your system, usually the installation CD will automatically install it

during the process of installation. Make sure your system has DirectX 9.0c or above installed so that the TV
software utility can function properly.

2. If you want to install Acrobat Reader, go to My Computer, click CD-ROM and choose Acrobat Reader.

Step 5 : Activating AVerTV DVB-S Pro Application

To run the AVerTV DVB-S Pro application from the Programs menu, click Start, point to Programs, choose AVerTV

6.0, and then click AVerTV 6.0.

Uninstalling the Applicat ion and Drivers

To remove the installed TV software utility from the system, simply choose Start Æ Programs Æ AVerTV 6.0 Æ
Uninstaller Æ Remove Application and DriverÆ Next Æ Finish.

Remote Control

After installing drivers and applications, you can use a remote control to turn on/off the programs, select channels, adjust
volume and so on. In addition, the remote control can function as a Remote Mouse by using the arrow keys
(←↑→↓ÉÊÌË) to control the mouse pointer when the software is closed.

Battery Safety Information:

Universal DVB Receiver

Installing Drivers and the Application in Windows XP Media Center Edition

To use our device under Media Center Edition mode, you need to follow the steps described below.
Before installing, make sure that your have upgraded to Update Rollup 2 (Emerald) for Windows XP
Media Center Edition 2005.

1. Exit and switch to Windows mode if you are in Media Center Edition mode.

2. The “Found New Hardware Wizard” dialog box will appear. Just click Cancel to skip the Wizard

installation procedures.”

3. Place the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.

4. When the installation main screen appears, click TV Utility Software.

5. When the dialog box containing the license agreement appears, click Yes.

6. Choose Complete to install all the software, including AVerTV 6.0 Application, DirectX 9.0c and

11. When the dialog box containing the license agreement appears, click Yes.

12. Click Install.

13. Click Finish.

14. If a warning message about Windows logo testing appears, click Continue Anyway.

15. When the “Found New Hardware Wizard” dialog box appears, select “No, not this time” and click

Next.

16. Select “Install the Software automatically (Recommended)

17. If a warning message about Windows logo testing appears, click Continue Anyway.

18. Click Finish.

19. The installation of Universal DVB Tuner Device #1 drivers will continue and the on-screen

instructions are identical to those of Universal DVB Capture Device #1 driver. Repeat steps 15 to 18
to complete the driver’s installation.

20. If you are instructed to restart the computer, select Yes. Then click Finish to complete the

installation.

Setting up Satellite TV in Window XP Media Center Edition

To run the device under MCE mode, you have to configure the satellite data and scan channels first.

1. To Start Windows XP Media Center Edition, click StartÆ ProgramsÆ AccessoriesÆ Media

CenterÆ Media Center.

2. In the MCE mode, select More Programs Æ DVB-S Configuration to configure the satellite

information.

3. After entering the related data, go back to the main page.

4. Then select Setting Æ TV and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the configuration.

Uninstalling Universal DVB Receiver in Windows XP Media Center Edition

1. Go to the Windows mode first.

2. Click Start and then click on Control Panel.

3. Double-click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.

4. In the Add/Remove program list, select Universal DVB Receiver and then click on the

Change/Remove.

Individuell anzuklicken und so die gewünschte Software auszuwählen.

6. Falls unter dem Betriebssystem Windows XP eine Warnmeldung bezüglich Überprüfung des Windowslogos

erscheint, klicken Sie auf Trotzdem weitermachen.

7. Wählen Sie im Dialogfeld “InstallShield-Assistent beendet” auf Ja, wenn Sie aufgefordert werden, den Rechner

neu zu starten. Klicken Sie dann auf Beenden, um mit der Installation fortzufahren.

Schritt 4 : Installieren von Treibern unter Window s 2000

Unter Windows 2000 geht der Anwender wie folgt vor, um nach dem Neustart des Computers die Treiber zu installieren.

1. Die Dialogbox “Assistant für das Suchen neuer Hardware” erscheint. Klicken Sie auf Abbrechen, um den

Installationsassistenten zu beenden.

1. Falls DirectX 9.0c oder eine neuere Version nicht in Ihrem System installiert ist, wird dieses Programm

Fernbedienung

Nach Installation der Treiber und Anwendungen können Sie die Fernbedienung verwenden, um Programme ein- und
auszuschalten, Sender auszuwählen, die Lautstärke zu regeln usw. Darüber hinaus können Sie die Fernbedienung als
Fern-Maus verwenden. Benutzen Sie hierfür die Pfeiltasten (←↑→↓ÉÊÌË), um den Mauszeiger zu steuern, wenn die
Software geschlossen ist.

Installieren von Treibern und dem Anwenderprogramm unter Windows XP
Media Center-Edition

Wenn Sie dieses Gerät im Media Center-Modus betreiben wollen, müssen Sie wie unten beschrieben
vorgehen. Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Installation, dass Sie das Update Rollup 2 für Windows XP
Media Center-Edition 2005 installiert haben.

1. Beenden und in den Windows-Modus wechseln, falls Sie sich vorher im Media Center Modus

befunden haben.

2. Die Dialogbox “Assistant für das Suchen neuer Hardware” erscheint. Klicken Sie auf Abbrechen,

um den Installationsassistenten zu beenden.

3. Geben Sie die Installations-CD in das CD-ROM-Laufwerk ein.

4. Sobald das Installations-Hauptmenü erscheint, wählen Sie TV Utility Software.

19. Die Installation der Treiber Universal-DVB-Tuner # 1 wird fortgesetzt, und die Bildschirmtexte sind

identisch mit denen bei dem Treiber Universelles DVB-Aufnahmegerät # 1. Wiederholen Sie
Schritte 15 bis 18, um die Treiberinstallation erfolgreich durchzuführen.

20. Wenn Sie zum Neustart des Computers aufgefordert werden, klicken Sie auf Ja. Klicken Sie dann

Einstellungen für Satellitenfernsehen unter Windows XP Media Center­Edition.

Ehe Sie das Gerät im MCE-Modus betreiben können, müssen Sie zuerst die Satellitendaten konfigurieren
und einen Sendersuchlauf durchführen.

1. Um Windows XP Media Center-Edition zu starten, klicken Sie auf StartÆ ProgrammeÆ ZubehörÆ

Media CenterÆ Media Center.

2. Im MCE-Modus wählen Sie Weitere Programme Æ DVB-S-Konfiguration, um die

Satelliteninformationen zu konfigurieren.

3. Nachdem Sie die relevanten Daten eingegeben haben, kehren Sie zur Hauptseite zurück.

4. Wählen Sie anschließend Einstellungen Æ TV und führen die Konfiguration gemäß den

Bildschirmaufforderungen durch.

1. Gehen Sie zunächst in den Windows-Modus.

2. Klicken Sie auf Start und anschließend auf Bedienungsfeld.

3. Doppelklicken Sie auf das Icon Programme hinzufügen/entfernen.

4. In der Programmliste Hinzufügen/Entfernen wählen Sie Universal-DVB-Empfänger und klicken

dann auf Ändern/Entfernen.

La configuration système requise est décrite en détails sur la boîte de l’emballage. Avant d’installer AVerTV DVB-S
Pro, vérifiez que votre ordinateur possède la configuration requise donnée.

Installation matérielle

Etape 1 : Installer la Carte de Tuner TV

Etape 2. Les connexions

Etape 3 : Installation de l’Appl ication

Pour les utilisateurs de Windows XP, Il faudrait installer les drivers et l’application en même temps. Vous pourrez
exécuter l'application AVerTV DVB-S Pro après avoir redémarré l'ordinateur.

1. La boîte de dialogue “Assistant du nouveau matériel trouvé” apparaît. Cliquez simplement sur « Annuler » pour

passer la procédure d’installation automatique de l’Assistant.

Placez le cédérom d’installation dans le lecteur de CD-ROM.

3.

Lorsque l’écran principal d’installation apparaît, choisissez Logiciel utilitaire TV.

Lorsque la boîte de dialogue “Accord de licence” apparaît, cliquez sur « Oui ».

Choisissez « Terminer l’installation » pour installer tous les logiciels, y compris les applications AVerTV DVB-S
Pro et DirectX 9.0c, puis cliquez sur « Suivant ».
« Personnalisé » pour sélectionner le logiciel désiré.

6. Pour les utilisateurs du système d'exploitation Windows XP, si un message d'avertissement sur le test du logo

Windows apparaît, cliquez sur « Continuer ».

7. Dans la boîte de dialogue “Assistant InstallShield terminé”, s’il vous est demandé de redémarrer l’ordinateur ,

sélectionnez Oui. Puis cliquez sur Terminer pour achever l’installation.

Etape 4 : Installation des pilotes sous Windows 2000

Pour Windows 2000, l’utilisateur doit suivre les instructions ci-dessous pour terminer l’installation des pilotes après avoir
redémarré l’ordinateur.

1. Lorsque la boîte de dialogue “Nouveau Matériel Détecté” apparaît, cliquez sur « Annuler ».

Si un message d’avertissement concernant la signature numérique qui n’a pas été trouvée apparaissait, cliquez sur
« Oui ».

3. Il est possible que l’on vous demande si vous voulez redémarrer votre ordinateur, cliquez simplement sur

« Terminer » ou « Oui ».

REMARQUE:

1. Si DirectX 9.0c ou supérieur n’est pas installé sur votre système, le cédérom l’installera automatiquement pendant

le processus d’installation. Assurez-vous que votre système possède DirectX 9.0c ou supérieur installé pour que le
logiciel utilitaire de télévision puisse fonctionner correctement.

Si vous souhaitez installer Acrobat Reader, allez dans Poste de Travail, cliquez sur CD-ROM et choisissez Acrobat
Reader.

Etape 5 : Activation de l’ Application AVerTV DVB-S Pro

Pour exécuter l’application AVerTV DVB-S Pro à partir du menu des Programmes, cliquez sur « Démarrer », pointez
vers Programmes, choisissez AVerTV 6.0 analogique, puis cliquez sur AVerTV 6.0.

Désinstallation de l’application et des pilotes

Pour supprimer le logiciel et les pilotes, choisissez simplement Démarrer → Programmes → AVerTV 6.0 →
Désinstalleur → Supprimer AP et Pilote →Suivant →Terminer.

Télécommande

Après avoir installé les pilotes et les applications, vous pouvez utiliser la télécommande pour activer/désactiver les
programmes, sélectionner les chaînes, ajuster le volume, etc. De plus, la télécommande peut aussi fonctionner comme
souris distante en utilisant les touches fléches (←↑→↓ÉÊÌË) pour contrôler le pointeur de la souris lorsque le logiciel
est fermé.

Informations sur la sécurité des piles:

- Stockez les piles dans un endroit frais et sec.

- Ne jetez pas les piles avec les ordures ménagères. Mettez les piles au rebut dans les points de récupération des

piles ou, éventuellement, ramenez-les chez le détaillant.

- En cas de non utilisation prolongée, sortez les piles. Sortez toujours les piles épuisées de la télécommande. Les

fuites des piles et la corrosion risqueraient d'endommager la télécommande, mettez les piles au rebut en toute
sécurité.

- Ne pas mélanger piles usagées et neuves.

- Ne pas mélanger des piles de types différents : alcaline, standard (carbone-zinc) ou rechargeables (nickel-

cadmium).

- Ne pas jeter les piles au feu. Les piles risquent d'exploser ou de fuir.

- Ne jamais court-circuiter les terminaux des piles.
