A Features button or Calls button appears in the upper right of the display to indicate when

Telephone Stand
Your telephone can be placed in two positions, a lower position and an upright position. You
can adjust the display screen to different angles. To move the display screen, gently pull from
the top of the display screen towards you. As you pull the screen towards you, you will hear a
clicking sound. Each of these clicks is a locking position for the display screen. Gently push
on the display screen to adjust the screen to a previous position.
Using the On-screen Keyboard
A keyboard displays to help you add or edit a contact name or number, or personalize labels
for your call appearances or features.
Use the diagram that follows to add or change names, telephone numbers, or labels.
Remember to touch the “Done” check mark when you finish editing. Use the “Cancel” X to quit
editing and return to the previous screen without changing the information you entered on the
keyboard.
(Diagram not yet available)

damp, lint-free cloth. From the Home screen, select Settings, then Touch Screen Cleaning to
disable the touch screen so that you can clean it without initiating an action or application.
Follow the instructions that display and press any phone button like Contacts or Home when
you are done.

Use the Home button under the display to access the Home screen. From the Home screen
you can adjust and customize options and settings for your telephone, access Web-based
applications like stocks and weather, display a calculator, get information about your phone
and network settings, access favorite Contacts, and log out. What you see on the Home screen
depends on how your administrator has set up your system and on the applications available to
you. However, when you press the Home button, the Home screen always displays these
standard Avaya features:
• Settings lets you change your call settings, the language in which information displays
on the screen, the way your screen looks and sounds, and more.
• Touch Screen Cleaning disables the touch screen and provides instructions for
cleaning the screen.
• About Avaya one-X provides the release number of your telephone software.
• Log Out lets you sign off the phone, to protect your settings or to allow another user
to log in. Log out does not display unless your phone (and any associated button
module) is in an idle state.
• Stocks shows a snapshot of the current status of up to six stocks you define.
• Weather provides the current weather conditions in your area and a short-term
weather forecast.
• Calculator provides a simple, four-function calculator.
You may also see icons for up to eight favorite numbers for one-touch dialing, if you have
defined favorites in the respective Contacts entries. To invoke any application you see on the
Home screen, touch the applicable icon.
