Dial Mode Switch Selection
Set the Dial Mode switch on the side of the set to TONE
(touch tone) or PULSE (dial pulse/rotary) telephone service.
Make sure you choose the correct dialing method; touch
tone dialing will not work if you have dial pulse service.
The temporary tone dialing is activated by pressing
while in pulse mode.

1 . Remove the base by sliding it sideways as indicated by
the “REMOVE” arrow.
2 . Connect long line cord to telephone.
Plug the line cord into the LINE jack on the bottom of
the phone.
3 . Reinstall the base with the wide edge at the back of
the telephone.
Insert the base tabs into the slots on the bottom of the
telephone and feed the line cord through the hole in the
wide end of the base. Turn the telephone right-side up; it
should sit flat on your table during use.
4 . Set the Dial Mode switch.
The Dial Mode switch is on the side of the phone. Use a
ball point pen to set the switch to TONE if you have tone
telephone service, or to PULSE if you have dial pulse
(rotary) telephone service.
5 . Connect line cord to modular wall jack.
Plug the free end of the line cord into a modular wall
jack. Make sure it snaps firmly in place.
