The electronic assembly within the IP-HVP is conformal coated to help protect against moisture. However, when installing outdoors, or in high

moisture environments, it is essential that the RJ-45 network connector is completely sealed per the following instructions:

1. Install network cable into the RJ-45 connector and verify that the proper electronic connections are active.

2. Coat the entire connector and surrounding area with a liberal application of outdoor rated silicone sealant as shown.

Note: A 1 oz tube of silicone sealant is included with the IP-HVP Baffle. This material should be used to seal the enclosure seams and rear

mounting / cable entry holes when used outdoors. Enough material is provided to also seal the IP-HVP RJ45 connector per these instructions.
