check for “concealed” damage. Report any damage immediately to your carrier.
2. The correct voltage/amperage/phase are indicated on the rating plate
3. Once the unit has been installed, verify that the temperature indicator displays the correct food
requirement temperature prior to use with food.
4. This unit includes a built-in evaporator pan and does not require any drain connection for
drainage of water from condensation water created by the evaporator fan during defrost cycle.

GENERAL INSTALLATION
1. If crated, carefully remove unit from the crate. The white protective adhesive material covering
the stainless steel should be removed after the unit has been installed.
2. Place the unit in its location ensuring that the ventilation grills for the compressor in front just
below the front curved glass A and in the back of the unit B are not obstructed in any way.
3. Leveling the unit is achieved by adjusting the bullet feet located at bottom 4 corners of the unit C.
4. Ensure that the Plexiglas stopper D in the display area of the unit are installed properly to
prevent any restriction of the air return vents E.
5. Connect power supply with the power cord supplied with the unit to 120V outlet. The power cord
is located on the bottom left working side of the unit F.
6. The digital temperature display G is factory preset to operate the refrigerated display between
34F-39F. A defrost setting for 5 minutes every 2 hours has been factory preset and will be
indicated displaying df on the digital display during the defrost cycle.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
1. We recommend that the customer sign a Preventative Maintenance contract with an local
authorized refrigeration company for periodical inspection to ensure proper care of the
refrigeration system and to be maintained, inspected and cleaned as often as the refrigeration
company suggests it should be, based on use and dust accumulation on the condenser on the
condensing unit.
2. Condensing unit cleaning: On a weekly basis or as needed remove stainless steel ventilation
grill B by lifting up and pulling out from the bottom, carefully inspect the condenser fins for any
dust accumulation on the surface and between the fins. Remove dust by using a vacuum or by
using compressed air to blow it out. We do not recommend that it get brushed off since the dust
could be pushed into and between the fins and restricting the airflow. Also wash the removable
stainless steel ventilation grill B.
3. Evaporator fan and basin cleaning: On a monthly basis or as needed lift front glass H, second,
remove interior Plexiglas stoppers D, third, lift and remove stainless steel panels I on the interior
base of the display exposing the evaporator fan J. Clean basin K from any food products that may
have fallen into the basin. Clean fan blade cover L on evaporator coil. Ensure that the drain M is
unobstructed with any debris that may have fallen in.
4. Cleaning exterior and interior of unit: Normal soil on stainless steel can be removed by using a
liquid detergent soap and a damp cloth and should be wiped off in the direction of the grain in
the stainless steel, NEVER RUB IN A CIRCULAR MOTION. Curved front glass can be cleaned
with regular glass cleaning products. The Plexiglas doors and side panels can be cleaned with a
regular glass cleaning product and only with a lint free cloth to avoid scratch marks. The saniclean cutting board should be removed and washed using a liquid soap and an abrasive pad.
Fulfilling these maintenance requirements will ensure an excellent running condition of your Astor
EURO display and diminish service repair costs in the long term.
