To turn the lock from right to left and vice versa, loosen the three screws (A) and pull out the cases (B) and turn. Then press the cases in and tighten the screws. If you make this change the lock shield (C) must also be turned 180°.
Doors manufactured before 1980 usually have an asymmetrical opening; switch to accompanying lock pillar.
Add a ø 24 mm extra hole to the opening inside the door, see drilling template in the box. Insert and screw in the lock case.

Remove the cylinder sleeve on the inside cylinder by pushing in the locking pin. Note that the cylinder sleeve on the outside cylinder must be fitted during assembly.
Doors where the B and/or C dimension exceeds 27 mm must be supplemented with a 10 mm cylinder extender, at 37 mm with two cylinder extenders, etc.
Attach the cylinders from the inside with the enclosed four screws.

Block the screws with cylinder plugs. Turn the key first to “ten o’clock” and push a plug into the opening between the screws on the right side of the cylinder. Then turn the key to the “two o’clock” to mount the plug on the left side. This is done to prevent removal of the lock by someone who is unauthorized.
7
Slide on and snap in place the inside cylinder sleeve.

Place the square peg for the knob in the appropriate place and fasten it between the lock case and handle plate with plastic stop washers. Make sure the stop washers do not jam in the hole. For extremely thin or thick doors it may be necessary to saw the square peg or replace it with a longer one.
Put handle plate in place with the thumb turn knob positioned vertically.

Slide the o-rings on the handle screws. Install the door handle with the throughhandle screws from the inside of the door. Install the barrel nuts from the outside. If necessary, tighten the screws so that the door handle hangs loosely and does not rub against the door.
If the door is in poor condition or if the insurance company has specific requirements for approved lock units, you can supplement with door reinforcement accessory ASSA 4292 * (green) and cover plate 4291* and knob plate 4294*.
* Not included in the package.

A restricted “do not duplicate” key means that as owner and holder of the blue code token, you are the only one who can have extra keys made. The purpose of restricted keys is to give you control over your keys.
The front door lock must be safe, secure and convenient, and with the restricted key, we have made the lock even better.
The blue code token should be considered and treated as a valuable document.
Registration of ownership certificate
You can register the ownership certificate for your ASSA d12 cylinder and key online at ASSA’s website www.assa.se. You can use the ownership certificate to have extra keys and cylinders made at a licensed ASSA service station even if you lose the blue code token.
To register your ownership certificate you will need the 7-digit code from the blue code token and a 3-digit security code that is enclosed in the package.
The keys to the d12 high-security cylinder are legally protected against illegal copying under Swedish law. Contact a licensed ASSA service station if you need additional keys or cylinders. You can find your nearest licensed ASSA service station at www.assa.se.
• If you want your key to fit all doors in the house (storage room, garage, etc.), you can order extra cylinders and use the same key for all locks. Use the code token in the same way as when you order keys.
• If you are sure you do not need any additional keys or cylinders, you can cut up and destroy the blue code token. You will then be certain that no new keys can be made.
• Test the key in the cylinder before installing the lock.
