This motherboard supports CrossFireXTM feature. CrossFireXTM technology offers the
most advantageous mea n s availa ble of combining multiple high perf ormance Graphics
Processing Units (GPU) in a single PC. Combining a ra nge of different operating mode s
with intelligent software design and a n innovative interconnect mecha nism, CrossFireX
enables the highest possible level of performa nce a nd image quality in a ny 3D a pplication.
Currently CrossFireXTM feature is supported with Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 a nd
VistaTM OS. Plea se check AMD website f or AT ITM CrossFireXTM driver updates.
What graphics cards work with CrossFireXTM?
A complete CrossFireXTM system requires a CrossFireXTM Ready motherboard, a
CrossFireXTM Edition graphics card and a compatible standard Radeon (CrossFireX
Ready) graphics card from the same series, or two CrossFireXTM Ready cards. This
applies to cards from ATITM or any of its partners. Please refer to below table for
CrossFireXTM VGA card support list according to the OS you install.
1. If a customer incorrectly configures their system they will not see the
performance benefits of CrossFireXTM. All three CrossFireXTM components, a
CrossFireXTM Ready graphics card, a CrossFireXTM Ready motherboard and a
CrossFireXTM Edition co-processor graphics card, must be installed correctly to
benefit from the CrossFireXTM multi-GPU platform.
2. If you pair a 12-pipe CrossFireTM Edition card with a 16-pipe card, both cards will
operate as 12-pipe cards while in CrossFireXTM mode.
