FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS
Basic Operation
The Arcam CR80 is pre-programmed to operate Arcam amplifiers, DVD players, CD players and AM/FM tuners. For full operating details, please read the rest of the manual.
To control an AV component, first press the relevant key in the SELECT DEVICE area of the remote.
In addition, this remote control contains a library of remote codes for other manufacturers of AV system components, listed in the back of this manual.
The CR80 also has the capability of learning remote functions that are not available in the code library. In order to make best use of the limited me mory available for learning, we strongly recommend that you use the library codes where possible for your non-Arcam components, and then
learn new codes for non-library components.

LEARNING A FUNCTION
The ARCAM CR80 can be setup to learn a function from an original remote. To optimize success, the learning feature should be conducted in an area where there is a low level of IR emission. High levels of "natural light" or energy efficient fluorescent lights could interfere with a learning event.
Example: To learn the "mono/stereo" function from your original TV
remote control onto the MODE(GUIDE)-key of your ARCAM CR80.
1 Place the ARCAM CR80 and your original remote control on a
flat surface. Make sure the ends which you normally point at your device are facing each other. Keep the remotes at a distance of 1 to 2 inches (2 to 5 cm).
