Connect the appliance only to correctly installed mains power sockets ►

First carry out a test on an unobtrusive area to be certain that the material ►
is suitable for cleaning with high pressure steam, for instance:
Painted wood or leather can be bleached by steam. –
Unprotected wood can swell up. –
Protective wax coatings can be dissolved by steam. –
Plastics can become tarnished from the eff ects of steam. –
Soft plastics can deform when exposed to steam. –
Cold glass or mirror surfaces can crack on encountering hot steam. –
If you wish to clean windows, you must fi rst preheat them, for instance by ►
applying the steam over large areas from a greater distance, then moving
in progressively closer.
Acrylics, velvet and silk react sensitively to hot steam, as do plastic fi bres. ►

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty ►
period so that in the case of a warranty claim you can package the appliance properly for return.

Assembling the squeegee
Open the large screw on the retainer of the squeegee 1) 6, such that you can
push in the metal rail with the rubber lip.
Thereby ensure that the broad side of the metal rail is at the top.2)
Retighten the large screw.3)
Using the appliance

To ensure faultfree operation and a long service life for the
appliance, pay heed to the following instructions:
First press the steam lever
►1 when the green control lamp 8 glows. If you
press too early it may cause an accumulation of hot water in the appliance,
which will drip or spray from the nozzle. There is a risk of being scalded.
Before switching the appliance off , always allow all of the steam to drain ►
out by pressing the steam lever 1 until no more steam exits from the nozzle.

Should the mains water at your locality be rated as hard, it is recommended that
you mix the mains water with distilled water. Otherwise, the appliance could
calcify prematurely and clog the steam nozzle q.

Taking the appliance into use
Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red control lamp 1) 7 glows.
As soon as the appliance is ready for use the green control lamp 2) 8 starts to
glow - the red control lamp 7 continues to glow.
NOTICE
During the heating up period it can happen that there is an occasional ►
escape of steam from the steam nozzle q.
Press the steam lever 3) 1 downwards. The pump pumps water into the heater
element, steam is generated and exits from the steam nozzle q. Should the
steam blast subside, continue to hold the steam lever 1 down. More water
is pumped in and after a short time the steam vapour level increases.

If water drips from the steam nozzle ►q during operation, release the
steam lever 1. The appliance must fi rst heat up again. Wait until the green
control lamp 8 glows again..

Should you leave the switched on appliance unused for an extended
period, although the steam lever 1 is not pressed it can happen that steam
escapes!
Areas of application
For cleaning, you can use either steam directly from the steam nozzle q or fi t an
accessory.
■
Do not use an accessory if you want to clean for example toilets and sinks,
taps and drains, windows, furniture, fabrics, shutters or mirrors.
You can easily remove water, together with the dissolved soiling, on smooth
surfaces with the squeegee 6 after cleaning.
NOTICE
The closer the nozzle is to the surface to be cleaned, the better the eff ect, ►
as both steam pressure and temperature are at their highest directly at the
nozzle exit.

Attaching/detaching accessories

Empty the water tank 3) 3.
Clean the appliance, the water tank 4) 3 and the accessories with a moist
cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.
Scale removal
Place descaler suitable for household appliances with water into the water 1)
tank 3. Pay heed to the instructions given by the manufacturer of the descaler. Never fi ll the water tank 3 with more water than to the MAX marking.
Place the switch "2) Anti-calc Function" 4 at the position "I".
Replace the water tank 3) 3 back onto the appliance.
Remove the tip of the steam nozzle 4) q, in that you use a coin or similar to
unscrew the tip.
Insert the plug into a mains power socket.5)
Hold the appliance over a sink and press and hold the steam lever 6) 1 down.
After a short time (about 1.5 minutes) hot water drips from the steam nozzle q
and fl ushes the dissolved limestone and soiling out of the appliance.
When the water from the water tank 7) 3 is depleted and there is no more
water in the appliance, release the steam lever 1. Check to ensure that the
water with the descaler is completely used up. For this, tilt the appliance
forwards.
Remove the plug from the mains power socket.8)
Remove the water tank 9) 3 and place the switch "Anti-calc Function" 4 at the
position "O"
Wait until the appliance has cooled down and then screw the tip of the 10)
steam nozzle q back onto the appliance.

Akryyli, sametti ja silkki reagoivat herkästi kuumaan höyryyn, samoin ►
