Thank you for choosing an Amcor dehumidifier, a leading brand in indoor air treatment. We would like you to enjoy the many benefits that this dehumidifier offers. So please take the time to read this manual carefully and take full advantage of the many advanced features of your Amcor dehumidifier.
ENGLISH
Thank you!
Safety
This appliance must be earthed. Refer to the rating plate for voltage and power input. The installation must be in accordance with regulations of the country where the installation is performed. The unit is designated for indoor operation.
* The D-850 is safe. It has been approved by many safety institutions around the
world. However, as with other electrical appliance, use it with care. * Keep out of reach of children. * Do not clean the D-850 by spraying it or immersing it in water. * Do not insert any object into the opening of the D-850. * Disconnect from the mains before cleaning the unit or any of its components. * Never connect to an electrical outlet using an extension cord. If an outlet is not
available, one should be installed by a licenced electrician. * Any service other than regular cleaning or filter replacement should be performed
by an authorized service representative. Failure to do so could result in a loss of
warranty. * When the unit is placed in a (swimming) pool, connect to the mains via a
transformer or a breaking switch, conform the regulations regarding electrical
installations.
Warning Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an approved service representative or a similar qualified person in order to avoid any hazards.

Your Amcor dehumidifier controls Relative Humidity by passing the air through the unit forcing the excess moisture to condensate over the cooling elements.
This condensate water then flows safely into a fixed drain. The dried air then passes through a final heat exchanger where it is slightly warmed
and re-enters the room at a slightly elevated temperature. The level of demoistering is set with the humidistat control.

How it works
WARNING: This appliance must be earthed. Refer to the rating plate for voltage and power input.
Your Amcor dehumidifier is supplied with an electrical cable and an earthed plug. Should it be necessary to replace this plug at any time, you must use an earthed electrical plug.
For U.K. only: If the attached plug is unsuitable, cut it off and throw it away. NEVER insert the severed plug into an electrical socket or outlet. Never use the plug without the fuse cover fitted in place. If the cover is lost you can purchase a replacement from PENCON. The replacement fuse is 10 Amps and should conform to BS1362. Check the wiring instructions and diagram while refitting a plug.
The BLUE (Neutral) wire should be connected to the terminal in the plug marked N or coloured black.
The BROWN (Live) wire should be connected to the terminal in the plug marked L or coloured red.
The GREEN/YELLOW (Earth) wire should be connected to the terminal in the plug marked E or or coloured green.

ENGLISH
There must be a minimum distance of 30 cm from the frontside and the topside of the unit with each other object.
Your Amcor dehumidifier can be installed in any closed area with a too high relative humidity, such as cellar, playing area, shed, archive or swimming pool. The D-850 will begin to protect from the harmful effects of excess moisture as soon as it is plugged in. Excess moisture will travel throughout your home, in the same way that cooking smells waft to every room in the house. For this reason, the dehumidifier should be positioned so that it can draw this moist air towards it from all over the home.
Alternatively, if you have a serious problem in one area you can begin by positioning the dehumidifier close to this area and then gradually moving it to a more central point.
When positioning your Amcor dehumidifier, ensure that it is placed on a level surface.
Best results are obtained when windows and doors are closed, thus preventing the possible influx of fresh, too humid, air.
If you want to move the unit switch it off first.
We do not recommend the use of an extension lead so please try to ensure that the unit is sufficiently close to a fixed socket. If it is necessary to use an extension lead please ensure the diameter of the wires of the cable is at least 1.5 mm2.
When the unit is placed in a (swimming) pool, connect to the mains via a transformer or a breaking switch, conform the regulations regarding electrical installations.
When the dehumidifier is in operation, open outside doors and windows only when necessary.

There are four optional outlets for the drainage tube. In order to change the outlet of the drainage tube the rear panel should be dismounted. When remounting the rear panel care should be taken to return all the screws and washers to their original location.
Connecting the permanent outlet
• Connect the pipe to an outlet tube with the correct diameter.
• Push the other end of the tube into a drain, making sure that the tubing cannot be
twisted or folded.
• The entire length of the tube must be slightly inclined.
• Ensure that the outlet of the drainage pipe is NOT under the water level in
the drain.
NOTE: In very cold weather conditions precautions should be taken to prevent the drainage pipe from freezing.
The unit can be either located on the floor or be hung on the wall.
Standing on the floor
The unit is equipped with 4 plastic legs. Make sure that all the legs are supported by the floor.
Hanging on the wall
The unit can be hung on 2 screws inserted in the wall. In the attached plastic bag please find two screws & two plastic wall inserts suitable for those screws.
Location
Drainage
The two screws should be horizontally located on the wall with a distance of 450 mm. between them. On the metal rear panel of the unit there are two pear like slots in which the heads of the screws should be inserted.
In order to eliminate vibrations and noise the two rubber supports in the attached plastic bag should be fixed to the lower corners of the unit’s rear panel. (Peel off the cover from the self adhesive strip attached to the rubber support and stick the supports to the rear panel).

(see page 3) Automatic humidity control
Your Amcor dehumidifier is equipped with an adjustable humidistat control (3). When you first use the unit, turn the humidistat control clockwise, all the way for minimum humidity. At this setting the dehumidifier will run continuously, regardless of the humidity level. Allow the unit to run in this way until a comfortable level of humidity is reached. At this point, slowly turn the humidistat control anti-clockwise until the unit switches off. The dehumidifier will now automatically maintain the humidity at this level.
In most cases you will see a reduction in condensation within a few days. In severe cases, however, it may take several weeks to remove sufficient moisture to maintain an acceptable humidity level.
The other switch controls the ventilator speed. The size of the room (or swimming pool) is determining the setting for the ventilator speed.
IMPORTANT:
Model D-850 should not be used in temperatures below 7°C or above 35°C.
Defrost Control
Your Amcor dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic de-icing mode to defrost the refrigeration coil during low temperature operation. The compressor is switched off whilst the ventilator continues to run.
Fan speed control (2)
The dehumidifier features a 2-speed fan. Depress the switch to the high setting, marked with a . For quiet night time operation set the switch to the lowest speed setting.

If the dehumidifier does not operate:
• Make sure the unit is plugged in.
• Ensure the humidistat control is turned on.
If the unit is noisy:
• Make sure the dehumidifier is standing solidly and level.
If the unit is leaking:
• Check the drainage tube for correct fitting.
• Check for twists and bends in the drainage tube.
• Check the drainage tube for a sufficient slope.
• Check and make sure that the outlet of the drainage pipe is not under the
waterlevel in the drain.
Meets EEC directive CE 73/23/CE (LVD) on safety.
Subject to alteration without notice.

Trouble shooting
Cleaning the air filter (4)
Disconnect from the mains before cleaning the unit or any of its components.
Air circulation is impeded and the efficiency of the dehumidifying and air purifying functions decreases when the filter is dirty. It is therefore good practice to clean the filter at regular intervals. The precise intervals depend on the room in which the appliance operates and on how frequently it is used.
• Remove the filter (4) by sliding it out.
• Clean the filter or wash in tap water.
• Dry the filter before inserting it back.
Housing
Wipe regularely clean with a moist cloth and mild household detergent.
Servicing
Have your dehumidifier once a year serviced by a qualified engineer.
