Specifications

The remote station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® / Ring model SS900B or
approved equivalent. Remote(s) shall have clear
two- way communications. Remote(s) shall
feature a tamper- resistant design to protect the
speaker, microphone, and circuitry from external
abuse and the elements. Remot e shall
be mounted on a bac k plate of high quality 16
gauge nominal, cold rolled steel (CRS).
Remote(s) shall mount behind a c ustomer­supplied four (4) inch speaker grille/baffle (or
equivalent).

Remote is designed to work with the RM5000EX
and/or CB901EX microprocessor intercom
systems. When used as a elevator remote
stat ion, calling to the AND16 series annunciator,
each SS900B requires the c ontrac tor t o furnish
and install a model AN912 annunciator control
module.

Contract or shall observe all local and national
elect rical and building codes.

SS900B Remote Substation (Less Grille)

The SS900B is a hands-free intercom remot e st ation that rec eives c alls originating
from a master station. T his remot e st ation is ideally suited for use in elevator,
correc tional fac ilities, institutions, parking facilities and sec ured entrances. T he

SS900B is designed to work with the RM5000EX and/or CB901EX mic roprocessor

intercom systems.

The SS900B remot e st ation has been designed and manufactured with high reliability
for long term usage and ease of installation.

The unit is supplied mounted on a bac k plate of high quality 16 gauge nominal, cold
rolled st eel (CRS). The SS900B is provided with ametal screen mesh to protect t he
speaker and microphone and a protect ive rear cover that is notc hed for c able entry.
The SS900B's PC board is treated with an anti-corrosive compound which is resistant
to water and c hemical penetration. T he Unit can easily be mounted behind a four (4)
inch speaker grille/baffle.

When used as a elevator remote station, c alling to the AND16 series annunciator,
each SS900B requires a model AN912 annunciator control module.
