Architects' And Engineers' Specifications
Paging/talkbac k horn(s) shall be Alpha Communicat ions® model
HS-17T, or approved equal. Horn(s) shall be made of (Tan)
ABS plast ic, and shall have inputs for 8-ohms, 25 volts, or 70
volts, with adjustable wattage taps for the line t ransformers.
Horn(s) shall have a frequency response of 350 to 14,000 Hz.
and shall inc lude an adjustable, swivel mounting bracket.
Contract or shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.
HS-17T Indoor/Outdoor Paging/Talkback Horn
The Alpha Communicat ions® HS-17T paging/talkback horn is a
low-c ost indoor/outdoor unit that can be used with a variety of
public address and intercom syst ems. Each HS-17T horn can
handle up to 16 wat ts of audio power (8 watts in 25 volt mode).
Choose from 8 ohm connections, or built-in 25 volt and 70 volt line
transformers, with several wattage tap settings available. T he HS-
17T is made of durable (Tan) ABS plastic, and c omes complete
with a swivel mount bracket for wall or pole mounting. Depending
upon the system it is used with, the HS-17T c an be used as a
talkback speaker (usually in the 8 ohm mode).
A frequency response of 350 t o 14,000 Hz. assures crisp-c lear
communication, and even basic music capability.
