1. SAFETY INFORMATION

Before the installation and use of the appliance, careful­ly read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is
not responsible if an incorrect installation and use cau­ses injuries and damages. Always keep the instructions
with the appliance for future reference.

1.1 Children and vulnerable people safety

WARNING!

Risk of suffocation, injury or permanent disability.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.

• Do not let children play with the appliance.

• Keep all packaging away from children.

• Keep all detergents away from children.

• Keep children and pets away from the appliance door
when it is open.

• If the appliance has a child safety device, we recom­mend you activate it.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.

1.2 General Safety

• Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and
disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

• Do not change the specification of this appliance.

• Obey the maximum load volume of 8 kg (refer to the
“Programme chart” chapter).

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly quali­fied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• The operating water pressure (minimum and maxi­mum) must be between 0,5 bar (0,05 MPa) and 8 bar
(0,8 MPa)

• The ventilation openings in the base (if applicable)
must not be obstructed by a carpet.

• The appliance is to be connected to the water mains
using the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets must
not be reused.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

2.1 Installation

• Remove all the packaging and the

transit bolts.

• Keep the transit bolts. When you

move the appliance again you must
block the drum.

• Do not install or use a damaged appli-

ance.

• Do not install or use the appliance

where the temperature is less than 0
°C or where it is exposed to the
weather.

• Obey the installation instruction sup-

plied with the appliance.

• Make sure that the floor where you in-

stall the appliance is flat, stable, heat
resistant and clean.

• Do not install the appliance where the

appliance door can not be fully
opened.

• Always be careful when you move the

appliance because it is heavy. Always
wear safety gloves.

• Make sure that there is air circulation

between the appliance and the floor.

• Adjust the feet to have the necessary

space between the appliance and the
carpet.

Electrical connection

WARNING!

Risk of fire and electrical shock.

• The appliance must be earthed.

• Make sure that the electrical informa­tion on the rating plate agrees with
the power supply. If not, contact an
electrician.

• Always use a correctly installed shock­proof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters and
extension cables.

• Make sure not to cause damage to the
mains plug and to the mains cable.
Should the appliance power supply
cable need to be replaced, this must
be carried out by our Service Centre.

• Connect the mains plug to the mains
socket only at the end of the installa­tion. Make sure that there is access to
the mains plug after the installation.

• Do not pull the mains cable to discon­nect the appliance. Always pull the
mains plug.

• Do not touch the mains cable or the
mains plug with wet hands.

• This appliance complies with the
E.E.C. Directives.

Water connection

• Make sure not to cause damage to the
water hoses.

• The appliance is to be connected to
the water mains using the new sup­plied hose-sets. Old hose sets must
not be reused.

• Before you connect the appliance to
new pipes or pipes not used for a long
time, let the water flow until it is clean.

• The first time you use the appliance,
make sure that there is no leakage.

2.2 Use

fire, burns or damage to the ap­pliance.

• Use this appliance in a household en­vironment.

• Do not change the specification of this
appliance.

• Obey the safety instructions on the
detergent packaging.

• Do not put flammable products or
items that are wet with flammable
products in, near or on the appliance.

• Do not touch the glass of the door
while a programme operates. The
glass can be hot.

• Make sure that you remove all metal
objects from the laundry.

• Do not put a container to collect pos­sible water leakage under the appli­ance. Contact the Service to ensure
which accessories can be used.

2.3 Care and Cleaning

• Before maintenance, deactivate the
appliance and disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket.

• Do not use water spray and steam to
clean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist soft
cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do
not use abrasive products, abrasive
cleaning pads, solvents or metal ob­jects.

2.4 Disposal

Risk of injury or suffocation.

• Disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply.

• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.

• Remove the door catch to prevent
children and pets to get closed in the

• When you activate this device, you
cannot close the door. This prevents
children or pets to be closed in the
drum. To activate the device, turn it
clockwise, until the groove is horizon­tal. To deactivate the device, turn it

Some programmes accept only
one of the two functions.

5.7 Extra rinse button

Press button 7 to add rinsing phases to
a programme.
Use this function for persons allergic to
detergents and in areas where the water
is soft.

The Stain function is not available with a temperature lower than 40°C.

if you set the Extra Quick function, we recommend you to decrease the quantity of the

load. It is possible to keep the full load but the washing results are not good.

The wash and spin phase is soft to prevent the creases of the laundry. The appliance

adds some rinses.

The default phase of the spin speed is related to cotton items. Set the spin speed. Make

sure that it agrees with the laundry.

Press EXTRA RINSE button to add rinses. With a low spin speed the appliance performs

delicate rinses and a short spin.

Use a special detergent for very low temperature.

Standard programmes for the Energy Label consumption values. According to
regulation 1061/2010, these programmes are respectively the «standard 60 °C cotton
programme» and the «standard 40 °C cotton programme». They are the most efficient
programmes in terms of combined energy and water consumptions for washing normally
soiled cotton laundry.

The washing temperature of the washing phase may differ from the temperature de-

clared for the selected programme.

Set this programme to have a good washing results and decrease the energy con-

sumption. The time of the washing programme is extended.

Steam can be used for dried, washed or worn once laundry. These pro­grammes can reduce creases and odours and make your laundry more
smooth.
Do not use any detergent. If necessary, remove stains by washing or us­ing localized stain removal.
Steam programmes do not perform any hygienic cycle.

Do not set the Steam programme for this type of clothes:

• Clothes which is not specified on the care label as being suitable for tumble-

drying.

• Clothes with inclusion of plastic, metal, wooden parts or alike.

If you set a Steam programme with dried laundry, at the end of the cycle the laundry
feels humid. It is better to expose clothes to the fresh air for about 10 minutes to let the
humidity dry. Laundry should be removed from the drum as quick as possible. After a
steam cycle, clothes may to be ironed anyway, but with less effort!

6.1 Consumption values

At programme start the display shows the duration programme for the max­imum load capacity.
During the washing phase the programme duration is automatically calcula­ted and can greatly be reduced if the laundry load is lower than the maxi­mum load capacity (e.g. Cotton 60°C, maximum load capacity 8 kg, the pro­gramme duration exceeds 2 hours; real load 1 kg, the programme duration
don’t reach 1 hour).
When the appliance is calculating the real programme duration a dot blinks
in the display.

The data of this table are approximate. Different causes can change the da­ta: the quantity and type of laundry, the water and ambient temperature.

7. BEFORE FIRST USE

To activate the drain system, put 2 li­tre of water in the main wash com­partment of the detergent dispens­er.

8.1 Loading the laundry

Open the appliance door.

Put the laundry in the drum, one
item at a time. Shake the items be­fore you put them in the appliance.
Make sure not to put too much laun­dry in the drum.

Close the door.

Make sure that no laundry stays between
the seal and the door. There is a risk of
water leakage or damage to the laundry.

8.2 Filling the detergent and additives

The detergent compartment for the prewash phase and the
soak programme.
Add the detergent for prewash and soak before the start of the
programme.

The detergent compartment for the washing phase.
If you use a liquid detergent, put it immediately before you start
the programme.

Liquid additives compartment (fabric conditioner, starch).
Put the product in the compartment before you start the pro­gramme.

This is the maximum level for the quantity of liquid additives.

Put the product in the compartment and set the stain function
before you start the programme.

Flap for powder or liquid detergent
Turn it (up or down) in the correct position to use powder or liq­uid detergent.

Always obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the de­tergent products.

Pull out the detergent dispenser un­til it stops.

Press the lever down to remove the
dispenser.

3.

To use powder detergent, turn the
flap up.

4.

To use liquid detergent, turn the
flap down.

With the flap in the position
DOWN:

– Do not use gelatinous or thick

liquid detergents.

– Do not put more liquid deter-

gent than the limit showed in

the flap.
– Do not set the prewash phase.
– Do not set the delay start func-

tion.

Measure out the detergent and the
fabric conditioner.

6.

Carefully close the detergent dis­penser. Make sure that the flap
does not cause a blockage when
you close the drawer.

8.3 Setting and starting a
programme

1.

Turn the programme knob. The rela­ted programme indicator comes on.

2.

The indicator of button 4 flashes
with red colour.

3.

The display shows the default tem­perature and spin speed. To change
the temperature and/or the spin
speed, press the related buttons.

4.

Set the available functions. The indi­cator of the set function comes on or
the display shows the related sym­bol.

5.

Press button 4 to start the pro­gramme. The indicator of button

is on.

The drain pump can operate for
a short time when the appliance
fills water.

The appliance adjust auto­matically the cycle time to the
laundry you have put in the
drum to have perfect washing
results in the minimum neces­sary time. After approximate­ly 15 minutes from the start of
the programme, the display
shows the new time value.

Press button 1 again to activate
the appliance. Now, you can set a
new washing programme.

The appliance does not drain the
water.

8.6 Change a function

You can change only some functions be­fore they operate.

Press button 4 . The indicator
flashes.

minutes or hours. The related sym­bols comes on.

9. HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

9.1 The laundry load

• Divide the laundry in: white, coloured,
synthetics, delicates and wool.

• Obey the washing instructions that are
on the laundry care labels.

• Do not wash together white and col­oured items.

• Some coloured items can discolour
with the first wash. We recommend

that you wash them separately for the
first times.

• Button up pillowcases, close zippers,
hooks and poppers. Tie up belts.

• Empty the pockets and unfold the
items.

• Turn inside out multilayered fabrics,
wool and items with painted illustra­tions.

• Remove hard stains.

• Wash with a special detergent heavy
soil stains.

• Be careful with the curtains. Remove
the hooks or put the curtains in a
washing bag or pillowcase.

• Do not wash in the appliance :
– Laundry without hems or with cuts
– Underwired bras.
– Use a washing bag to wash small

items.

• A very small load can cause balance
problems with the spin phase. If this
occurs, adjust manually the items in
the tub and start the spin phase again.

9.2 Stubborn stains

For some stains, water and detergent is
not sufficient.
We recommend that you remove these
stains before you put the items in the
appliance.
Special stain removers are available. Use
the special stain remover that is applica­ble to the type of stain and fabric.

9.3 Detergents and additives

• Only use detergents and additives
specially made for washing machines.

• Do not mix different types of deter­gents.

• To help the environment, do not use
more than the correct quantity of de­tergent.

• If you use liquid detergents, do not set

9.4 Water hardness

If the water hardness in your area is high
or moderate, we recommend that you
use a water softener for washing ma­chines. In areas where the water hard­ness is soft it is not necessary to use a
water softener.
To know the water hardness in your area,
contact your local water authority.
Obey the instructions that you find on
the packaging of the products.

10.1 Descaling

The water we use contains limescale. If it
becomes necessary, use a water softener
to remove limescales.
Use a special product made for washing
machines. Obey the instructions that you
find on the packaging of the manufactur­er.
Do this separately from the laundry
wash.

10.2 External cleaning

Clean the appliance only with soap and
warm water. Fully dry all the surfaces.

CAUTION!

Do not use alcohol, solvents or
chemical products.

10.4 Door seal

With the low temperature programmes it
is possible that some detergent stays in
the drum. Make regularly a maintenance
wash. To do this:

• Empty the laundry from the drum.

• Set the hottest cotton wash pro­gramme

• Use a correct quantity of powder de­tergent with biological properties.

After each wash, keep the door open for
a while to prevent mould and to let un­pleasant smells go out.

Regularly examine the seal and remove
all objects from the inner part.

Water-stop device

The inlet hose has a water stop device.
This device prevents water leaks in the
hose because of its natural ageing. The
red sector in the window «A» shows this
fault .
If this occur, close the water tap and
contact the service centre to replace the
hose.

There are different procedures to con­nect the drain hose:

• On the edge of a sink.

• Make sure that the plastic guide can­not move when the appliance drains.
Attach the guide to the water tap or
the wall.

• To a stand pipe with vent-hole.
Refer to the illustration. Directly into a

drain pipe at a height of not less than
60 cm and not more than 100 cm. The
end of the drain hose must always be
ventilated , i.e. the inner diameter of
the drainpipe must be larger than the
external diameter of the drain hose.

• To a sink spigot.
Refer to the illustration. Put the drain

hose in the spigot and tighten it with a
clip. Make sure that the drain hose
makes a loop to prevent that remain­ing particles go in the appliance from
the sink.

You can extend the drain hose to
maximum 400 cm. Contact the
service centre for the other drain
hose and the extension.

• Directly to a built-in drain pipe in the
room wall and tighten it with a clip.

2.1 Instalación

• Retire todo el embalaje y los pasado-

res de transporte.

• Guarde los pasadores de transporte.

Cuando vuelva a mover el aparato de­be bloquear el tambor.

• No instale ni utilice un aparato daña-

• No instale ni utilice el aparato si la

temperatura es inferior a 0 ºC o si está
expuesto a la intemperie.

• Siga las instrucciones de instalación

suministradas con el aparato.

• Asegúrese de que el suelo en el que

instale el aparato está plano y limpio,
y es estable y resistente al calor.

• No coloque el aparato donde la puer-

ta no se pueda abrir completamente.

• El aparato es pesado, tenga cuidado

siempre cuando lo mueva. Utilice
siempre guantes de protección.

• Compruebe que el aire circula libre-

mente entre el aparato y el suelo.

• Ajuste las patas para disponer del es-

pacio necesario entre el aparato y la
moqueta.

• El aparato debe quedar conectado a
tierra.

• Asegúrese de que las especificaciones
eléctricas de la placa coinciden con las
del suministro eléctrico de su hogar.

eficaces en cuanto a consumo de agua y energía para el lavado de algodón con
suciedad normal.

La temperatura de lavado en la fase de lavado puede ser distinta de la introducida

para el programa seleccionado.

Ajuste este programa para obtener unos buenos resultados de lavado y reducir el

consumo de energía. Se amplía la duración del programa de lavado.

El vapor se puede usar para las prendas secadas, lavadas o que se han
puesto una vez. Estos programas pueden reducir la cantidad de arrugas
y los olores y suavizar las prendas.
No utilice detergente. Si es necesario, elimine las manchas lavando o
con quitamanchas en las zonas manchadas.
Los programas de vapor no realizan un ciclo higiénico.

No ajuste el programa de vapor para este tipo de prendas:

• Prendas cuya etiqueta de instrucciones no especifique claramente que pue­den secarse en secadora.

• Prendas con gran parte de plástico, metal, madera o similares.

Si ajusta un programa de vapor con la colada seca, al final del ciclo las prendas tienen
un tacto húmedo. Es mejor exponer las prendas al aire fresco durante unos 10 minutos
para que se seque la humedad. Extraiga la colada del tambor lo antes posible. Después
del ciclo de vapor quizá deba planchar de todos modos, ¡pero con menos esfuerzo!

6.1 Valores de consumo

Al inicio del programa, la pantalla muestra la duración para la capacidad de
carga máxima.
Durante la fase de lavado, la duración del programa se calcula automática­mente y se puede reducir mucho si la carga es inferior a la capacidad de
carga máxima (p. ej., algodón 60°C, capacidad de carga máxima 8 kg, la du­ración del programa supera 2 horas; carga real 1 kg, la duración del progra­ma no alcanza 1 hora).
Cuando el aparato está calculando la duración real del programa, un punto
parpadea en la pantalla.

Los datos de esta tabla son aproximados. Los datos pueden cambiar por va­rios motivos: la cantidad y tipo de colada, el agua y la temperatura ambien­te.

9. CONSEJOS ÚTILES

9.1 Cargar la colada

• Divida la colada en: ropa blanca, ropa
de color, ropa sintética, prendas deli­cadas y prendas de lana.

• Siga las instrucciones de lavado que
se encuentran en las etiquetas de las
prendas.

• No lave juntas las prendas blancas y
de color.

• Algunas prendas de color pueden
desteñir en el primer lavado. Se reco­mienda lavarlas por separado la pri­mera vez.

• Abotone las fundas de almohadas y
cierre las cremalleras, los ganchos y
los broches. Ate las correas.

• Vacíe los bolsillos y despliegue las
prendas.

• Dé la vuelta a las prendas de varias ca­pas, de lana y con motivos pintados.

• Retire las manchas difíciles.

• Lave con detergente especial las man­chas difíciles.

• Tenga cuidado con las cortinas. Quite
los ganchos o coloque las cortinas en
una bolsa para lavadora o funda de al­mohada.

• No lave en el aparato:
– Prendas sin dobladillos o desgarra-

das
– Sujetadores con aros.
– Use una bolsa para lavadora para la-

var las prendas pequeñas.

• Una carga muy pequeña puede pro­vocar problemas de desequilibrio en
la fase de centrifugado. Si esto ocurre,
ajuste manualmente las prendas en la
cuba e inicie de nuevo la fase de cen­trifugado.

9.2 Manchas difíciles

Para algunas manchas, el agua y el de­tergente no son suficientes.
Se recomienda eliminar estas manchas
antes de colocar las prendas en el apara­to.
Existen quitamanchas especiales. Utilice
el quitamanchas especial adecuado al ti­po de mancha y tejido.

9.3 Detergentes y aditivos

• Utilice solo detergentes y aditivos es­pecialmente fabricados para lavado­ras.

• No mezcle diferentes tipos de deter­gentes.

• Para respetar el medio ambiente, no
ponga más detergente del necesario.

• Siga siempre las instrucciones que se
encuentran en el envase de estos pro­ductos.

• Use los productos adecuados para el
tipo y color del tejido, la temperatura
del programa y el grado de suciedad.

• Si utiliza detergente líquido, no ajuste
la fase de prelavado.

• Si el aparato no tiene el dosificador de
detergente con dispositivo de com­puerta, añada los detergentes líquidos
con una bola dosificadora.

9.4 Dureza agua

Si la dureza del agua de su zona es alta
o moderada, se recomienda usar un des­calcificador de agua para lavadoras. En
las zonas en las que la dureza del agua
sea baja, no es necesario utilizar un des­calcificador.
Póngase en comunicación con las autori­dades correspondientes para conocer la
dureza del agua de su zona.
Siga siempre las instrucciones que se en­cuentran en el envase de los productos.

• Grados franceses (°TH).

10.1 Descalcificación

El agua corriente que utilizamos suele
contener cal. Si es necesario, use un des­calcificador de agua para eliminar la cal.

Use un producto especial para lavado­ras. Siga siempre las instrucciones que
se encuentran en el envase del fabrican­te.
Hágalo de forma separada del lavado de
la colada.

10.2 Limpieza del exterior

Limpie el aparato solo con agua templa­da y jabón. Seque completamente todas
las superficies.

10.3 Lavado de
mantenimiento

Con los programas a baja temperatura,
es posible que quede algo de detergen-

te en el tambor. Realice periódicamente
un lavado de mantenimiento. Para ello:

• Saque las prendas del tambor.

• Seleccione el programa de lavado de
algodón de mayor temperatura

• Use la cantidad correcta de detergen­te en polvo con propiedades biológi­cas.

Después de cada lavado, mantenga la
puerta abierta unos instantes para elimi­nar la humedad y los olores desagrada­bles.

10.4 Junta de estanqueidad de la puerta

Examine periódicamente la junta y ex­traiga todos los objetos de la pieza inte­rior.

10.5 Tambor

Examine periódicamente el tambor para
evitar la formación de cal y partículas de
óxido.
Utilice únicamente productos especiales
para eliminar la partículas de óxido del
tambor.

10.6 Dosificador de detergente

Para limpiar el dosificador:

• Limpie el tambor con un producto es­pecial para acero inoxidable.

• Inicie un programa corto para algodón
a la temperatura máxima con una pe­queña cantidad de detergente.

Limpie la bomba si:

• El aparato no desagua.

•El tambor no gira.

• El aparato hace ruidos extraños debi­do al bloqueo de la bomba.

• La pantalla muestra un código de alar­ma debido al problema con el desa­güe.

Para limpiar la bomba de desagüe:

del apartado "Para limpiar la bomba de
desagüe".
Limpie la bomba si fuera necesario.
Vuelva a colocar el conducto de desa­güe y cierre la compuerta de la bomba.
Cuando se desagua con el procedimien­to de drenaje de emergencia, se debe
activar de nuevo el sistema de desagüe:

Coloque 2 litros de agua en el com­partimento de lavado principal del
dosificador de detergente.

2.

Inicie el programa para desaguar.

10.10 Medidas anti

Si el aparato está instalado en una zona
donde la temperatura puede llegar a ser

inferior a 0 °C, retire el agua restante del
tubo de entrada y la bomba de desa­güe.

de entrada en un recipiente y deje

El aparato no se pone en marcha o se

Primero, intente buscar una solución al

Hay distintos procedimientos para co­nectar el tubo de desagüe:

El tubo de entrada tiene un dispositivo
antifuga. Este dispositivo evita las fugas
de agua del tubo por el desgaste nor­mal. El sector rojo de la ventana «A»
muestra este fallo.
Si esto ocurre, cierre el grifo de agua y
póngase en contacto con el servicio téc­nico para cambiar el tubo.

• Asegúrese de que la guía de plástico
no se mueva cuando el aparato desa­gua. Acople la guía al grifo de agua o

mínima de 60 cm y máxima de 100 cm.
El extremo de la manguera de desa­güe debe quedar siempre al aire; es
decir, el diámetro interior de la tubería
