Before Using This Product

Before Beginning a regular
exercise program we recommend
you consult a physician

The heart rate monitor syncs with the rest of the miCoach
system, including the miCoach phone, stride sensor and
website. Music. Coaching. Motivation. Just set your goal,
turn up the music and go. miCoach does the rest.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR PC:
To use standard phone synchronization with PC studio
(Samsung phone management software): Microsoft
Windows 2000 or Windows XP or Windows Vista, Processor
speed: 600 MHZ or faster, 100MB of free hard disk space
for typical installation, 256MB RAM
(MICOACH WEB DOES NOT WORK ON MAC)

FOR MULTIMEDIA FEATURES: Direct X 9.0 or higher, USB
port (1.1 or 2).
TO USE SPORTSFEATURES & MICOACH WEB:
Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista, Windows Media Player
10 or higher, Internet connection (broadband recommended).

STRIDE SENSOR AND HEART RATE MONITOR REQUIRE:

Quick Start

The heart rate monitor transmits heart rate data that is
integral to the miCoach system, so it’s important for you to
wear it correctly.

1. For best results, we recommend you wear the chest
strap against bare skin. (see fig. 1)

2. Be sure to moisten the electrodes before exercising.

3. The electrodes should press firmly against your skin
and the adidas logo should be upright and located in
the center of your sternum. (see fig. 2)

Caution

Should you ever experience any skin irritation or any other
abnormality while wearing the heart rate monitor, remove
it immediately.

Care and Maintenance

Your miCoach heart rate monitor (HRM) helps you achieve
your fitness and training goals. By following the directions
below, you can maximize the life of your HRM. If your HRM
does require servicing, you should send it to your nearest
authorized service center (see page 20).

1. Only perform the procedures described in this user’s guide.

2. Never attempt to disassemble or repair your HRM.

3. Protect the HRM from sharp objects, extreme heat or
prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

4. Store your HRM in a clean, dry environment at
room temperature.

5. When putting on or taking off the heart rate monitor,
please do not twist, bend or stretch it excessively.

6. To clean the HRM, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, or a with a
cloth that has been moistened in a weak solution of water
and a mild neutral detergent. Do not use thinner, benzene,
alcohol or any other volatile agent to clean the HRM.

Water Resistance

Your miCoach HRM is water resistant up to 30 m/100 ft. Do
not wear the HRM while immersed in water.

Replacing the Battery

The HRM contains a CR 2032 coin cell battery which should
provide two years of operation under normal conditions
(running one hour per day/7 days per week). To replace the
battery, use a small coin to open the battery hatch. Keep
batteries out of the
reach of small children.
Should a battery ever
be swallowed acciden­tally, contact a physician
immediately.

TWO (2) YEAR INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

Your adidas product is warranted by adidas timing for a period two (2) years
from the original date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this
warranty. The adidas timing warranty covers materials and manufacturing
defects for the adidas heart rate monitor component. A copy of the receipt
or dealer stamp in the warranty booklet is required in order to waive repair
charges. Shipping and handling fees may apply for warranty and non­warranty service

During the warranty period the product will be repaired or replaced free
of repair charges, if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship
under normal use.

In case of replacement, adidas timing cannot guarantee that you will receive
the same model product. If your model is not available, a product of equal value
and similar style will be provided. The warranty for the replacement product
ends two (2) years from the date the replacement product is received.

This Warranty Does Not Cover:

• Any defects in materials and workmanship of the battery.

• Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents, or
normal wear and tear.

• Water damage unless marked water-resistant.

• Repairs if the product was not originally purchased from an authorized
adidas timing retailer. Proof of purchase is required.

This warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident,
negligence of persons other than authorized adidas timing sales or services
agents, unauthorized service, or other factors not due to defects in materials
or workmanship.

The foregoing warranties and remedies are exclusive and in lieu of all other
warranties, terms or conditions, express, implied or statutory, as to any matter
whatsoever, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability,

tness for a particular purpose, accuracy, satisfactory quality, title, and non-

infringement, all of which are expressly disclaimed by adidas. adidas timing

Schnellstart

Der Herzfrequenzmesser übermittelt Herzfrequenzdaten,
die für das miCoach-System von zentraler Bedeutung
sind. Achten Sie deshalb darauf, dass Sie den
Herzfrequenzmesser richtig tragen.

1. Um optimale Ergebnisse zu erzielen, sollten Sie den
Brustgurt auf der bloßen Haut tragen (siehe Abb. 1).

2. Befeuchten Sie die Elektroden vor dem Training.

3. Die Elektroden sollten fest auf der Haut aufliegen.
Positionieren Sie das adidas-Logo senkrecht in der
Mitte des Brustbeins (siehe Abb. 2).

Vorsicht

Wenn der Herzfrequenzmesser auf Ihrer Haut Reizungen
oder andere Reaktionen hervorruft, sollten Sie das Gerät
unverzüglich ablegen.

Pflege und Wartung

Ihr miCoach-Herzfrequenzmesser (HFM) hilft Ihnen dabei,
Ihre Fitness- und Trainingsziele zu erreichen. Wenn Sie
die nachstehenden Anweisungen befolgen, können Sie die
Lebensdauer Ihres HFM verlängern. Sollte eine Wartung
Ihres HFM erforderlich sein, senden Sie ihn an das näch­stgelegene autorisierte Service Center (siehe Seite 33).

1. Führen Sie nur die in diesem Benutzerhandbuch
beschriebenen Maßnahmen durch.

2. Versuchen Sie nicht, den HFM zu demontieren oder
zu reparieren.

3. Schützen Sie den HFM vor scharfen Gegenständen,
extremer Hitze und längerer direkter
Sonneneinstrahlung.

4. Bewahren Sie den HFM in einer sauberen, trockenen
Umgebung bei Raumtemperatur auf.

5. Achten Sie beim An- und Ausziehen darauf, dass Sie den
HFM nicht übermäßig verdrehen, verbiegen oder dehnen.

6. Reinigen Sie den HFM mit einem weichen, trockenen
Tuch oder feuchten Sie das Tuch mit einer milden
Lösung aus Wasser und einem neutralen
Reinigungsmittel an. Verwenden Sie weder
Verdünnungsmittel, Benzen oder Alkohol noch andere
flüchtige Substanzen, um den HFM zu reinigen.

Wasserfestigkeit

Ihr miCoach-HFM ist bis 30 m wasserfest. Tragen Sie den
HFM nicht im oder unter Wasser.

Batteriewechsel

Der HFM arbeitet mit einer Knopfzelle vom Typ CR 2032,
die unter normalen Bedingungen (eine Stunde Lauftraining
pro Tag an sieben Tagen pro Woche) eine Lebensdauer
von einem Jahr hat. Um die Batterie zu wechseln, öffnen
Sie das Batteriefach mit einer kleinen Münze. Batterien
von kleinen Kindern fern halten. Bei versehentlichem
Verschlucken unverzüglich einen Arzt konsultieren.

INTERNATIONALE ZWEI (2)-JAHRES-GARANTIE

Auf Ihre adidas-Armbanduhr gewährt adidas watches eine Garantie
gemäß der vorliegenden Garantiebedingungen für die Dauer von zwei (2)
Jahren ab dem ursprünglichen Kaufdatum. Diese Garantie erstreckt sich
auf Herstellungs- oder Materialfehler. Eine Kopie der Quittung oder ein
Händlernachweis (Stempel im Garantieheft) werden als Kaufbeleg benötigt.

Diese Garantie erstreckt sich nur auf die Garantielaufzeit und in diesem
Zeitraum nur auf das Uhrwerk, die Zeiger und das Ziffernblatt. Von der
Garantie gedeckte Bauteile werden repariert oder die Armbanduhr ohne
Berechnung von Reparaturkosten ersetzt, wenn das Bauteil während der
Garantielaufzeit Herstellungs- oder Materialfehler aufweist.

Im Ersatzfall kann adidas keine Gewähr dafür übernehmen, dass Sie eine
Armbanduhr desselben Modells erhalten. Falls Ihr Modell nicht verfügbar ist,
erhalten Sie eine Uhr im selben Wert und ähnlichen Design. Die Garantie auf die
als Ersatz erhaltene Uhr endet zwei (2) Jahre nach dem Erhalt der Ersatzuhr.

DIESE GARANTIE UMFASST NICHT:

• Herstellungs- oder Materialfehler an Batterie, Gehäuse, Glas, Armband
oder Armreif.

• Beschädigung durch unsachgemäße Behandlung, mangelnde Sorgfalt,
Unfälle, oder normale Abnutzung.

• Beschädigung durch Wasser, sei denn, die Uhr ist als wasserfest
gekennzeichnet.

Diese Garantie verliert ihre Gültigkeit, wenn die Armbanduhr durch
Unfall, Unachtsamkeit durch andere als autorisierte Vertriebs- oder
Service-Agenten von adidas, Wartung oder Reparatur durch andere als
Servicepartner, oder andere Faktoren und Ereignisse beschädigt wird, die
nicht herstellungs- oder materialbedingt sind.

Die voranstehenden Garantieleistungen und Rechtsbehelfe sind
ausschließlich und ersetzen alle anderen explizit, implizit oder gesetzlich
zugesicherten Garantien oder Nutzungsbedingungen in Bezug auf
sämtliche Sachverhalte. Dies gilt auch und ohne Einschränkung für
die Mängelgewährleistung, die Gewährleistung der Eignung für einen
bestimmten Zweck, die Genauigkeit, zufriedenstellende Qualität, Rechtstitel
und das nicht Vorhandensein von Rechtsverletzungen. Hierfür lehnt adidas
hiermit ausdrücklich jedwede Haftung ab. adidas ist nicht haftbar für Neben­oder Folgeschäden, indirekte, besondere oder Strafschäden oder Ansprüche
jedweder Art aus oder in Verbindung mit dem Verkauf oder der Nutzung
dieses Produktes, ob auf Grundlage von Verträgen, Schadensersatzrecht,

direkter Produkthaftpicht oder sonstiger Rechtstheorien. Dies gilt auch

dann, wenn adidas über die Möglichkeit der Entstehung solcher Schäden
unterrichtet wurde und auch dann, wenn im vorliegenden Dokument
gewährte eingeschränkte Rechtsbehelfe ihren wesentlichen Zweck verfehlt
haben. Die von adidas übernommene Haftung erstreckt sich ausschließlich
auf Ersatz oder Reparatur in Höhe des entrichteten Kaufpreises. Diese
Entscheidung liegt im alleinigen Ermessen von adidas.

In manchen Ländern, Bundesländern/Staaten oder Provinzen ist der

Démarrage rapide

Le cardiofréquencemètre transmet les données au système
miCoach, il est donc important de le porter correctement.

1. Pour de meilleurs résultats, nous vous recommandons
de porter la bande sur votre torse contre la peau.
(cf. fig. 1)

2. Humidifier les électrodes avant de commencer une
séance d’entraînement.

3. Les électrodes doivent être fermement collées contre
votre peau. Vérifiez que le logo adidas est dans le bon
sens et qu’il est bien situé au centre de votre sternum.

Précaution

Si vous développez un irritation cutanée ou tout autre réac­tion anormale pendant le port de la ceinture, enlevez-le
immédiatement.

Précautions d’emploi

Votre cardiofréquencemètre miCoach (HRM – Heart Rate
Monitor) vous aide à réaliser vos objectifs en termes de forme
physique et d’entraînement sportif. En suivant les conseils
ci-dessous, vous pouvez maximiser la vie de votre HRM. Si
votre HRM exige une réparation, vous devez l’envoyer à notre
service après-vente agréé le plus proche. (cf. page 47).

1. Ne tentez que les procédures qui sont décrites dans le
manuel d’utilisation.

2. N’essayer jamais de démonter ou de réparer vous-même
votre capteur.

3. Protégez votre HRM contre les objets pointus, la chaleur
extrême ou contre une exposition prolongée et directe à
la lumière du soleil.

4. Entreposer votre HRM dans un endroit propre, sec et à la
température ambiante.

5. Quand vous mettez ou enlevez votre moniteur cardiaque,

faites attention de ne pas le tordre, le plier ou tirer des
sus de manière excessive.

doux et sec ou avec un chiffon humidifié avec de l’eau
et d’un peu de détergent doux. N’utilisez pas de diluant,
de benzène, d’alcool ou tout autre produit volatile pour
nettoyer l’HRM.

Etanchéité

Votre miCoach HRM est résistant à l’eau jusqu’à 3ATM/100
pieds. L’appareil peut être mouillé de manière ponctuelle
mais pas plongé dans l’eau. Ne portez pas votre HRM si vous
êtes sous l’eau.

Remplacer des piles

L’HRM contient une pile de téléphone CR 2032 qui fournit une
autonomie d’une durée d’un an dans des conditions normales
d’utilisation (à raison d’1 heure de course par jour/7 jours par
semaine). Pour changer la pile, utilisez une pièce pour ouvrir
le clapet de la batterie. Gardez les piles hors de portée des
jeunes enfants. Dans le cas où une pile devrait être avalée
accidentellement, contactez un médecin immédiatement.

GARANTIE INTERNATIONALE DE DEUX (2) ANS

Votre montre adidas est garantie par adidas watches selon les termes et
conditions de cette garantie pour une période de deux (2) ans à compter
de la date d’achat d’origine. La garantie adidas couvre tout défaut matériel
et de fabrication. Une copie du ticket de caisse ou le cachet du distributeur
dans le livret de garantie sont requis comme preuve d’achat.

Le mouvement de la montre, les aiguilles et le cadran sont les seuls éléments
garantis pendant cette période. Tout composant couvert par la garantie sera
réparé ou la montre sera remplacée gratuitement pourvu que les défauts de
matériel ou de fabrication se révèlent dans des conditions normales d’utilisation.
En cas de remplacement, adidas ne peut garantir que vous recevrez une
montre du même modèle. Si votre modèle n’est pas disponible, une montre
d’une valeur équivalente ou de style similaire sera fournie. La garantie de
la montre de remplacement est valable pour une période de deux (2) ans à
compter de la date de réception de la montre de remplacement.

CETTE GARANTIE NE COUVRE PAS :

• Les défauts de matériel ou de fabrication de la pile, du boîtier, du verre, de
la ceinture ou du bracelet.

• Les dommages résultant d’une utilisation incorrecte, d’un manque
d’attention, d’un accident ou d’une usure normale.

• Les dégâts causés par l’eau à moins que la montre ne porte la mention étanche.

négligence de personnes autres que les agents et représentants autorisés
de adidas, service non autorisé ou autres facteurs en dehors des défauts de
matériel ou de fabrication.

Les susdites garanties et les recours sont exclusifs et remplacent les autres
garanties, termes ou conditions, expresses, implicites ou légales, y compris
mais sans s’y limiter, toute garantie de qualité marchande, d’aptitude à un
usage particulier, de précision, de qualité satisfaisante, de titre, de non
contrefaçon, garanties étant expressément déclinées par adidas. adidas ne
pourra être tenu pour responsable de tout dommage accessoire, indirect
ou punitif de quelque nature que ce soit survenu en relation avec la vente
ou l’utilisation de ce produit, qu’il s’agisse d’un contrat, acte dommageable
(y compris la négligence), responsabilité stricte du produit ou autre théorie,
même si adidas a été prévenu de la possibilité de tels dommages et même

si les recours limités spéciés ici ne remplissent pas leur objectif principal.

La seule responsabilité de adidas se limitera au remplacement ou à la
réparation en fonction de la valeur d’achat du produit.
