SOUTH
Mount the combined Wind Assembly Extension Base on a pole away from the AcuRite Atlas outdoor device, within range of the Extension Cord. The Connection Compartment Door should be facing
south to maintain proper wind direction orientation.
To maximize the accuracy of wind measurements, the National Weather Service recommends mounting anemometers 33 feet (10 meters) above ground.
Avoid nearby wind obstructions such as trees and buildings.
Be sure to mount the outdoor device securely, as swaying or shaking may cause inaccurate wind readings.
Run the Extension Cord from the Extension Mount to the AcuRite Atlas outdoor device, being sure to secure any extra slack. Be sure to distribute the slack, as wrapping the cord around itself several times in one location could cause interference.
Plug Cord Connector-B into the AcuRite Atlas outdoor device connector.

The Rubber Guard helps prevent water and debris from entering AcuRite Atlas. On the AcuRite Atlas outdoor device, tuck in the connected cord and place the Rubber Guard over the hole.
Optional:
If AcuRite Atlas is mounted on the same pole as the Wind Extension, the Rubber Guard can be cut to accommodate the pole’s diameter. If needed, carefully cut a hole in the Rubber Guard just large enough to fit around the pole.
