Function Description
Left soft key
Performs the function indicated at the
left bottom of the screen.
Right soft key
Performs the function indicated at the

Press to confirm actions and make

4-Way
Navigation keys
These keys (UP, DOWN, LEFT and
RIGHT) allow for navigation through
menu options and quick access to
some function menus.

Press to dial a phone number or
answer a call, or view the call history.

Press to exit to the idle mode.
Hold to switch on/ off the phone.
Alpha/Numeric
keys
Press to enter char acters 0-9, the
alphabets from a-z and symbols.
Note: In this User Manua l, “press a key” means to press
the key and release it, whil e “hold a key” means to press
the key for at least two seco nds and then release i t.

Note: The pictures and icons s hown in the manual are just
schematic drawings for function demonstration. If they are
inconsistent with your handset, pleas e take your handset as
the standard. If t he inconsistency e xits in the manual
because of the handset function updating, please refer to
the follow-up public information from ZTE CORPORATION.
Battery Use
Do not s hort-circuit the battery, as this can cause the unit
to overheat or ignit e.
Do not store battery in hot areas or throw it into fire.
Otherwise, it will cause explosion.
Do not disassemble or ref it the battery. Otherwis e, it will
cause liquid leakage, overheating, explosion and ignition of
the battery.
Pleas e store the battery in a cool dry place if you don’t use it
for a long peri od.
The battery can be recharged for hundreds of times, but it will
eventually wear o ut. When the operating time (talk ti me
and idle time) is noticeably shorter than normal, it is time
to replace it with a new one.
Ple ase stop using the charger and battery when they are
damaged or show evidenc e of aging.
Return the worn-out battery to the provider or dispose of it in
accordance with environment regulations. Do not dispose of
it in household rubbish.
Pleas e use original batteries or batteries approved by
the phone manufacturer. Using any unauthorized battery
may affect your handset performance or may cause danger
of explosion, etc.
Warning: If the battery is damaged, do not discharge it. If
the leakage does come into contact with the eyes or skin,
wash thoroughly in clean water and consult a doctor.
Safety and General Use in Vehicles
Safet y airbag, brake, speed control system a nd oil eject
system shouldn’t be affected by wireless transmission. If
you do meet problems above, please contact your
automobile provider. Do not place your phone in the area
over an airbag or in the airbag deployment area. Airbags
inflate with great force. If a phone is placed in the
airbag deployment area and the airbag infl ates, the phone
may be propelled w ith great force and cause serious injur y
to occupants of the vehicle.
Plea se turn off your mobi le phone at a refue ling point, and
the same to the pla ce where the use of tw o-way radio is
prohibited.
Aircraft Safety
Ple ase turn off your mobile phone before the airplane
takes off. In order to protect airplan e’s communication
system from in terference, it i s forbidden to use mobile
phone in flight. S afety regulations re quire you to have
permission from a crew mem ber to use your phone while
the plane is on th e ground.
If t he mobile phone has the functio n of automatic
timing power-on, please check your alarm setting to make
sure that your phone will not be automatically turned o n
during flight.
To prevent poss ible hearing damage,
do not listen at high volume levels
for long periods.
Precautions for Potentially Explosive
Atmospheres
Swi tch off your phone prior to enteri ng any area with
potentially explosive atmospheres, such as fueling areas,
fuel or chemical transfer or storage facilities.
Do not remove, install, or charge batteries in such areas.
Spark in a potentially explosive atmosphere c an cause an
explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death.
To avoid possible interference with blasting operations,
switch off your p hone when you are near electr ical
blasting caps, in a blasting area, or in areas posted
“Turn off electronic devices”. Obey all signs and
instructions.
Precautions for Electronic Devices
Som e electronic devices are sus ceptible to electromagneti c
interference s ent by mobile phone if inadequately shielded,
such as electronic system of vehicles. Please consult the
manufacturer of the de vice before using the phon e if necessar y.
Turn off your phone before you clean it. Use a damp or
anti-static cloth to clean the phone. Do not use a dr y
cloth or electros tatically charged cloth. Do not use
chemical or abrasive cleaners as these co uld damage the
phone.
As your mobile phone can produce electromagnetic field,
do not place it near magne tic items such as computer
disks.
Using the phone near electrical appliances such as TV,
telephone, radio and personal computer can cause
interference.
Do not expose your mobile phone to direct sunlight or store
it in hot areas. High temperatures can sho rten the life of
electronic devices.
The p hone's normal operati ng temperature is -10℃ ~
50℃ .In order to ens ure the normal phon e functions, do
not use this phon e outside the temper ature range.
Keep your phone dry. Any liquid m ay damage your phon e.
Do not drop, knock or harshly treat t he phone. Rough
handling can break internal circuit boards.
Do not connect the phone with any incompatible
enhancement.
Do not attempt to disassem ble the mobile pho ne or battery.
Do not store t he phone with flammable or explosive
articles.
Do not charge the mobile phone witho ut battery.
The phone cannot be used at an altitude higher than 2000
meters.
Precautions for Medical Devices and
Facilities
When using your phone near pacemakers, please always
keep the phone more than eight inches (about twenty
centimeters) from the pacemaker when t he phone is
switched on. Do not carry the phone in the breast pocket.
Use the ear opposite the pacemaker to minimize the
potential for interference. Sw itch off the phone
immediately if necessary.
Som e phones may interfere with som e hearing aids. In
the event of such int erference, you may c onsult your
hearing aids manuf acturer to discuss alternatives.
If yo u use any other personal medical devi ce, please
consult the manufacturer of your device to determ ine if it
is adequately shielded f rom RF (radio frequency) e nergy.
In those facilities with special demand, such as hospital or
health care facilities, please pay attention to the res triction
on the use of mobil e phone. Switch off your phone if
required.
Mobile Phone
Please use original accessories o r accessories
approved by the phone manufacturer. Using any
unauthorized accessories may affect your mobile phone’s
performance, damage your phone or even cause danger to
your body and violate related local regulations about
telecom terminals.
Som e people may b e susceptible to epileptic seizures or
blackouts whe n exposed to flashing lights , such as when
watching television or playing video games. If you have
experienced seizures or bl ackouts, or if you have a
family his tory of suc h occurrenc es, please consult you r
doctor before playing video games on your phone or enabl ing
a flashing-light f eature on your pho ne. (The flashing-light
feature is not available on all products.)
Keep the phone out of the reach of small children. The
phone may c ause injury if used as a toy.
Precautions While Driving
Ple ase pay attentio n to the traff ic safety. Check t he laws and
regulations o n the use of your p hone in the area wher e you
drive. Always obey th em.
Use hands-free funct ion of the phone, i f available.
Pull off the road and park before making or answering a call if
conditions require.
Security
To prot ect your mobil e phone from il legal use, ta ke
the securit y measures as follows:
Set PIN codes of the SIM card.
Set hands et lock code.
Set call restrictions.
Safety Precautions
This section includes some important information on safe
and efficient operation. Please read this information before
using the phone.
Operational Precautions
Ple ase use your phone properly. When making o r
receiving a call, please hold your phone as holding a
wireline telephon e. Make sure that th e phone is at least
one inch (about tw o point five ce ntimeters) from your
body when transm itting.
Do not touch the antenna when the phone is in use.
Touching the antenna area affects call quali ty and may
cause the phone t o operate at a higher power level than
needed.
Battery
The lithium ion battery o f the mobile phone can be
immediately used after unpa cking.
Installing and removing the batte ry
1. Make sure t hat your phone is of f and remove the battery
cover.
2. Insert the battery by aligning the metal contacts with the
contacts in th e battery slot. And then push down the
upper section of the battery until it clicks into place.
To remove the batt ery, pull it up and rem ove it from the
mobile phone.
3. Replace the battery cover and close it gently until you hear a
click.

Locking and Unlocking the Keypad
In idle screen, p ress the Left soft key and then press the *
key within two seconds to lock the keypad. The unlock
method is the same.
Locking the ke ypad can prevent u nintentional operatio ns on it.
You can answer a n incoming call wit h the regular operat ion
when the keypad is loc ked.

Insert the SIM ca rd
4. Insert the mem ory card as shown in the diagram below.
Make sure that insert the card with the metal contacts
facing down until it clicks to the right position.
Notice:This product does not contain SD-card.

Inserting the SIM/SD card
SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module) is a micro-chip that
holds your personal information such as names and phone
numbers. Your phone won’t work wit hout it. If you already
have contacts on your SIM card, they can be trans ferred in
most cases.
Insert the SIM card and memory card as fol lows:
1. Make sure that the phone is switched off and t he charger is
disconnected from the pho ne.
2. Turn the phone o ver and remove the battery cover .
3. Hold your SIM card with the cut corner oriented as shown
and then slide it into the car d holder with the metal
contacts facing downward.
How to view image
Go to Menu>Multimedia>Image viewer.
You can select a n image in your phone or the memory car d
and view it.
How to use FM radio
Go to Menu>Multimedia>FM radio .
With the radio, you can search for radio channels, listen to
them, and save them on your device. Note that the quality
of the radio broadcast depends on the coverage of the radio
station in that particular area. In the FM radio interface, you
can press the */# keys to adjust volume, press the Up key
to turn on/off aut o search, press the Left/Right keys to
tune the frequency, and press the Down key to pause.
Select Options to enter the submenu.
File manager
Go to Menu>File manager. You can check all the folders in
the phone or the memory card, create new ones or renam e,
delete th e folders, etc.
Note: When you select Form at, the data will be lost, so
please be c areful with thi s function.

Using Organizer
Go to Menu>Organiser.
Calendar
Go to Organiser >Ca
lendar. The calendar of the current
mo
nth will be displayed on the screen and the current date
will be marked by a background box in a special colour.
Alarm
Go to Organise
r>Alarm. You can view and edit the alarm
cl
ocks settings. You can also enable or disable the alarms.
By pressing Edit, you can set the corresponding
features of t he alarm according to instructions.
How to take a photo
Go to Menu>Camera.
To take a photo: aim the camer a at the object and the n
press the Center key to take the shot.
Confi gure camera: press t he Left soft key to configure
your camera.
How to play music
Go to Menu>Multimedia>Audio player. You can play the
audio in your pho ne or the memory car d.
Bluetooth
The Bluetooth devic e must be paired bef ore the
communication is performed.
1. Go to Me nu>Settings>Con nectivity>Bluetooth. You
can turn on or off Bluetooth on your phone.
When Bluetooth is on, the
icon will appear in the
status bar
2. Go to My device>Search new d evice to search other
Bluetooth-enabled devices and list them.
3. Sele ct the desired device name in the list and press Pair.
4. Enter the wireless passwor d, and then press OK. When the
opposite party enters the same password, the connection
will be established.
Note: Go to Visibility, you c an choose to be vi sible or not.
When your phone i s visible, and the Bl uetooth is turned o n, all
other Bluetooth-enabled devices w ithin range can dete ct your
phone.
Setting your phone
You can adjust various s ettings of your phone. Go to
Menu>Settings.
Phone settings: Set tim e and date and schedule power
on/off, select language, set pref. input method and
Display, etc.
Network settings: Set to automatically or manually select
network, and set t he preferred networks.
Sec urity settings: Set securi ty featur es to protect your phone
and SIM card from unauthorized use.
Connect ivity: You can add and view Data account.
Restore f actory settings: Ente r the phone password to
restore to the factory settings. Some personal i nformation
might be lost if you use this functio n, so be careful.
Note: You may be required to input the phone pass word in
some of the security settings interfaces. The default passwo rd
is 1234. You can also change the p assword in Settings.

User profiles
Go to Menu> User profiles. You c an select
Options>Activate to activate a profile. Or you can select
Options>Customize to edit a profile.
Call History and Settings
Go to Menu>Phone.
Call history
Dialled calls, Received calls and Missed calls are saved in
Call history. If the records are full, the earliest saved
records will be delet ed.
Also, you can delete call logs and view call timers in Call
history.
Call settings
You can set call waiting, call divert and call barring and so
on.
Make sure that yo u are in an area wit h sufficient signal
coverage to make calls. The strength of the network sig nal is
indicated on the St atus Bar of the scree n.
Sending and receiving messages
You can use your mobile phone to send and receive messages.
Send a message
1. Go to Menu>Messaging>Write message.
2. Write your message. For more information on in put
method, see sectio n ‘Text Input’. When you write an
SMS, press Options>Send to, and edit the recipient.
When you write an MMS, you can edit Subject and
content. In content field, you can select Option s and
then select to add picture, sound, bookmark,
attachment and so on.
3. When you finish w riting an SMS/MMS, select Options
to send or save the message.
Receive a message
Upon receiving a message, the mobile phone will alert you
with a ringtone, prompt, or a new message icon.
1. Press View to enter the Inbox direc tly and then press
the Center key to open the mess age.
2. Use the Up/Down ke ys to view the messa ge.
3. While the m essage is ope n, use Options to reply, delete,
or forward the message. You can also call back the sender.

Adding contact to the Phonebook
There are some num bers that you may w ant to call again a nd
again, so it makes sense to add these number s to your
Phonebook. You can then access these numbers quickly and
easily.
1. Go to Menu>Contacts>Add
new contact.
2. Edit
the information and save it.
You can also save a number right after you’ve made or
received a phone call or a text message from someone
who is not yet in your Phonebook li st.
To delet e someone from your Phonebook list, first select
the name, then sel ect Options>Delete.
Making and receiving calls
The most basic way to make a call is to input the number in
the standby mod e and press the Send key. You can also
make a call from the Phonebook li st.
To call someone: Go to Menu> Phonebook. Use the
Up/Down keys to find the name of the person you
want to call. You can also type in the first letter of the
name of the person you want to call to find the right
name, and press t he Send key.
To recei ve a call, press the Send ke y.
To end a call, press the End/P ower key.
To rejec t a call, press the End/Power key.
Text Input
Chang e input mode: Press t he # key to change the i nput
mode.
Input Letters: Press the corres ponding letter to enter
desired characters. It does not work in numeric mode.
Input Di gits: In numeric m ode, press digit key o nce to
input a digit.
Input Symbo l: Press * key to select the Desir ed symbol
(common symbols) by pressing the Navigation keys and
then press the Left soft key or Center key to confirm it.
Input S pace: Press the 0 key to input s pace. It does not
work in numeric m ode.
Delete Char acter: Press the C key to clear a character.
Hold the C key to delete al l characters and clear the
display.
Move cursor to l eft or right: Among the text, press the
Left/Right navigation keys to move the c ursor to left
or right.
Powering your phone on/off
Make sure that the SIM card is in your device and the batter y is
charged.
Hold the End/Power key to power on/off the phone.
Note: You can use m emory card to expand the storage of the
phone. You can sto re or copy files s uch as music and so o n.
Do not take out th e card or switch off the phone while
transmitting or storing data, which may cause data l oss or
damage to the phone or t he card.
Charging the battery
Your phone is powered b y a rechargeable batte ry. For
maximum battery performanc e, it is recommended that you
first use up the battery power and then charge it completely.
A new battery’s full performance is achieved only after thr ee
complete charge and discharge cycles.
1. Connect your tra vel adapter to the left of your mobile
phone as shown in the diagr am.
2. Connect the other end of the travel adapter to t he mains
socket.
3. When the batter y is fully charged, disconnect the charger.
STK
SIM card Toolkit (STK) services are value-added
services pro vided by your netwo rk provider.
Your mobile phone s upports STK service, but if your SIM
card and network pr ovider do not suppor t the service,
these functions can ’t be used.

Services
Go to Menu > Services. Ser vices allow you to view
internet cont ent. In Services yo u also can use the ST K.
Browser
Y
ou can perform the following operati ons:
Homepage: Go to your home page interface.
Book marks: Access your p hone’s preset websi tes.
Select a bookmark to load the website.
Search or input URL: Input a URL to visit the site.
Rece nt pages: Display t he pages you’ve visi ted
recently. Sel ect an item to visit the p age again.
Settings: You can set Homepage, Data account,
Browser optio ns and Preferences.
Note: Proposal to open a large website with Op era Mini
(Go to Menu > Fun & Games > Opera Mini)
Licenc e manager
Licence list: Display the list of licences.
Status: Check the version and time.
Advanc e: Select Sweep to remove useless li cences and
reboot your phone.
