USER GUIDE
Introduction
Use the Two Slot Charger to charge two TC55 batteries; both
the 2,940 mAh and 4,410 mAh batteries. Both batteries can be
charged in any combination.
Battery Installation
1. If installed, remove the battery covers.
2. Align the three tabs on the bottom of the battery with the
three slots in the battery compartment.
3. Press the battery down and then rotate until it locks into
place.
4. Align the battery cover with the back of the charger and
press the battery cover down until it snaps into place.
NOTE: The cover must be installed for charging to begin.
Charging
Charge the batteries in the Two Slot Charger using the Charge
Only Cable or the Five Slot Charging Cradle. The batteries
begins charging. The LED blinks green while charging, then
turns solid green when fully charged. Two 2,940 mAh batteries
charge in approximately 8 hours and two 4,410 mAh batteries
charge in approximately 11 hours. Single batteries charge in
approximately half the time of two batteries.

2. For the 2,490 mAh battery, pull the battery tab down at a 45
degree angle.
3. For the 4,410 mAh battery, with two fingers, press the battery
down and rotate the battery out of the compartment.
4. Remove the battery from the battery compartment.

Charge batteries in temperatures from 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to
104 °F). Note that charging is intelligently controlled by the
charger. To accomplish this, for small periods of time, the
charger alternately enables and disables battery charging to
keep the battery at acceptable temperatures. The charger
indicates when charging is disabled due to abnormal
temperatures via its LED.

Power Supply
Use ONLY a Zebra approved Nationally Recognized Test
Laboratory (NRTL) Certified ITE (LPS) power supply with
electrical ratings: Output 5.0 V DC, min 1.2 A, with a maximum
ambient temperature of at least 50 °C. Use of alternative power
supply will invalidate any approvals given to this unit and may be
dangerous.

or be stored before needing replacement. Many factors affect

and electrolyte leakage. When storing batteries for one year or
longer, the charge level should be verified at least once a year
and charged to half of full charge.
Replace the battery when a significant loss of run time is
detected.
Standard warranty period for all Zebra batteries is one year,
regardless if the battery was purchased separately or included

Battery Safety Guidelines
• The area in which the units are charged should be clear of
debris and combustible materials or chemicals. Particular
care should be taken where the device is charged in a non
commercial environment.
• Follow battery usage, storage, and charging guidelines
found in the user's guide.
• Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or other
hazard.
• To charge the mobile device battery, the battery and charger
temperatures must be between 0 ºC and +40 ºC (+32 ºF and
+104 ºF).
• Do not use incompatible batteries and chargers. Use of an
incompatible battery or charger may present a risk of fire,
explosion, leakage, or other hazard. If you have any
questions about the compatibility of a battery or a charger,
