Overview

Based on continuous study of our customers’ productivity requirements,

Xerox recommends that the following criteria be used when evaluating which black-and-white printer to purchase for your office.

Performance and Reliability

Does the printer deliver the high-end speed necessary to keep up with the demands of your busy workgroup? Does it include the processing muscle required to handle multiple complex jobs smoothly?

Design Flexibility

Does the printer offer multiple options and

configurations that let you customize it

according to your workgroup’s needs? Is it easy to install, operate and maintain? Can it handle the different types of media users need for different jobs? Does it come standard with generous paper capacity, with the option to add paper trays to keep pace with your workload?

Cost-savings and Green Features

Is the printer value-priced, and does it continue to keep costs down with sensibly green conservation options?

Advanced Security

Does the printer have the security features necessary to meet your demands? Can it be password protected? Can it remove latent images from its hard drive? Are there features in place to safeguard confidential documents?

Printer performance can be measured in many ways. Ultimately, however, any

evaluation should answer these questions: Can the printer increase the productivity of a large workgroup through sufficient print speed and long-term reliability?

The Phaser 4622 printers deliver best-in-class print speeds:

The Phaser 4622 printer handles heavy

processor that keeps pace with a steady flow of multiple users’ print jobs, whether simple or complex, without delay.

First-page-out Time

First-page-out time is a key consideration in raw printer performance, particularly for jobs of three pages or less. The Phaser 4622 printer produces a print job’s first page in as few as 7.8 seconds.

No Delays

The advanced Print Around feature eliminates extended printing delays by holding a job in need of resources (such as a different paper

size) and printing the next job in the queue, which means no waiting for critical/time-

sensitive print jobs.

Print Quality

Engineered for Durability

The Phaser 4622 printer has fewer moving parts to wear out and less consumables to replace than competitive products. In the unlikely event that a repair is needed, you’re covered by a one-year on-site warranty and the unmatched Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee.

Duty Cycle

The Phaser 4622 offers a duty cycle of 275,000 pages per month*, easily enough to handle the needs of most busy offices.

The Phaser 4622 can be connected to a standalone PC, server or network via

10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet, USB 2.0, or

Design Flexibility

A printer needs to meet the evolving demands of its users. Design flexibility

should be a key consideration when choosing a printer: Is the printer easy to set up and operate? Can the printer be easily expanded or upgraded as business needs change? Can it handle an increased workload, or large print jobs, when the needs arise? Can it handle the different types of media users need for different jobs?

Easy Setup and Operation

The Phaser 4622 printer features an easy-to-understand front console, and the devices' automated setup process gets you printing in minutes.

Memory Expansion

If users must regularly print a high volume of large, complex files, the printers' standard 256

MB of memory can be expanded to 768 MB with the optional 512 MB upgrade.

Media Support

The Phaser 4622 printer can handle the diverse media needs of most offices. They include builtin paper capacity of 650 sheets, expandable to an optional 3,750 sheets.

Standard Trays:

• The convenient 100-sheet Multipurpose Tray (Tray 1) allows manual, single-sheet feeding of a variety of custom sizes, from 3 x 5 in. to

8.5 x 14 in. (76 x 127 mm to 216 x 356 mm).

• Tray 2 supports up to 550 sheets in custom sizes from 3.88 x 5.85 in. to 8.5 x 14 in. (98.6 x 148.5 mm to 216 x 356 mm).

Optional Trays:

• Tray 3* supports up to 550 sheets in custom

sizes from 5.5 x 8.27 in. to 8.5 x 14 in. (139.7 x 210 mm to 216 x 356 mm).

• Trays 4-6 each support up to 550 sheets in custom sizes from 5.5 x 8.27 in. to 8.5 x 14 in. (139.7 x 210 mm to 216 x 356 mm).

• High Capacity Feeder supports up to 2,000 sheets in standard sizes; Letter, Legal, Folio

and A4.**

Media Weights:

• Multipurpose Tray (Tray 1): 16-58 lb. bond /

60-220 gsm.

• Trays 2-6: 16-32 lb. bond / 60-163 gsm.

• High Capacity Feeder: 16-24 lb. bond /

Media Types

All trays accept a diverse range of media types, including plain paper, pre-punched, transparencies, preprinted, heavyweight, recycled, bond, labels, archive and cardstock.

** You cannot add a High Capacity Feeder if more

than 4 paper trays are being utilized.

Paper Output

Phaser 4622DN and 4622DT configurations include automatic two-sided printing as a standard feature. Standard paper output capacity is 500 sheets.

Plus, a choice of one of the following output options further expands the Phaser 4622 printer's flexibility:

• Finisher: 500-sheet tray, up to 50-sheet stapling.

• Mailbox: Four 100-sheet bins.

Toner Cartridge Capacity

The Phaser 4622 printer offers a standard capacity toner cartridge with a 13,000-page yield*. For heavier workloads, a 30,000-page high capacity* toner cartridge is also available.

with ISO/IEC 19752. Yield will vary based on image, area

coverage and print mode.

It has been no surprise that this past year held economic challenges for the company and the greater global economy as a whole. Turbulence in the valuation of the Euro had been forecast for the previous three ﬁscal years. Due to cyclical purchasing gaps and lagging economic indices, our buying power was diminished signiﬁcantly. Despite these setbacks, we have positioned Global International Finance Corporation for continued growth in this challenging climate.

Looking ahead, the Federal Reserve’s latest round of “quantitative easing” is intended to kick-start the lagging economy and help prevent deﬂation. Quantitative easing is a monetary policy used to increase the supply of money by increasing excess reserves in the banking system. In early November, the Fed announced it will buy $600 billion worth of long-term Treasury securities between now and the middle of 2011. This injection of money is expected to lower interest rates on Treasuries, boost lending and borrowing, and increase inﬂationary expectations.

The purchase of Treasuries should lower yields, and provide investment incentives to move capital toward assets with higher earnings, such as stocks and corporate bonds. This could provide a potential tailwind for returns. A perceived increase in portfolio net worth could boost individual conﬁdence and lead to greater consumer spending. Lower rates may also stimulate demand for borrowing, leading to more consumer spending and more hiring by the business world. Finally, and maybe most important, a potential increase in inﬂation moves us closer to pricing stability and further away from a potentially disastrous deﬂationary environment. These are all very positive signs for success in the coming year for GIFC and our shareholders.
