dpi print resolution means photo-quality color on your newsletter and razor-sharp text on your spreadsheet. The remarkably wide color gamut nails the precise color and provides the smoothest blends and gradations.

Or take complete color control by setting it to match the colors on your monitor, or selecting from a long list of built-in commercial print profiles. Adding color to your network is a snap. The Phaser 850 color printer comes standard with 10/ 100BaseT Ethernet, USB, and bi-directional parallel interfaces. A Token Ring network card is optional.

a little color for very little cost. With black ink free and each color ink stick providing well over 1,000 pages of typical office documents, printing all your work on a color printer just got very affordable.

Control panel. The 850’s graphical LCD is intuitive

and easy to read. Get continuous updates on printer status, change printer settings, see which of your coworkers is currently printing, or cancel a print job on the spot.

Reserve capacity. Just drop an environment

friendly solid-ink stick into the shapecoded slots anytime, even while you’re printing. The 850 is as easy as a stapler to reload, and unlike liquid ink or laser toner, solid ink cannot leak or spill in the process.

High-capacity productivity. Add up to two 500-

sheet lower trays and increase your printing capacity to 1200 pages. Or stock trays with different papers or media so your workgroup can easily switch between them with the click of a mouse. The short, simple paper path easily and reliably handles a wide variety of media. And for one-of-a-kind printing or printing on heavier stocks and envelopes, try the straight-through manual-feed slot.

Powerful remote control. Check printer activity,

type of media loaded, ink-level status, even cancel the current print job–and never leave your desk. Tektronix pioneered browser-based color printer management, and the 850 provides advanced PhaserLink™ software that also recognizes non-Tektronix printers. Your 850 can even send you an email before it runs out of supplies.

Immediate access. You won’t have to make

extra room for the Phaser 850 color printer–its compact design fits into office tight spots. Better yet, all access to media/ink loading and paper paths is front and center, so you’ll never have to reach behind the printer or twist it around.

Phaser 850DX configuration includes 128 MB RAM, automatic 2-sided printing, 6-GB internal hard disk, and one 500 sheet high-capacity paper tray.

PRINTER/JOB MANAGEMENT

PhaserLink™ Software provides printer status,

configuration, email notification of printer errors, Intranet support, and Tektronix support via standard web browsers.

Usage Profile monitors the printer on a network, providing usage statistics, page counts, intervention histories, and more.

Job Accounting provides job information, including job duration, media type, page count, and amount of consumables used.

Remote Printing allows users to print directly to any Phaser printer on a TCP/IP network.

First Page Preview provides a single print preview of multiple-print projects.

Collation Printing provides collated copies of multiple-page documents.

Pipeline Printing overlaps print processing several pages ahead of printing for optimum throughput.

Intelligent Ready software tracks when and how the printer is used. The printer automatically assumes a standby power-saving mode during periods of non-use and returns to Ready mode prior to a use period.

Built-in Hard Disk is standard on 850DX (optional on 850N and 850DP). The 6-GB internal hard disk includes a built-in Support web site.

Add an Avision Scanner and turn your Phaser 850 printer into a scan/print station.
