Operation of burners with safety device and electric ignition
To light one of the burners:
xPress the relative knob and turn it anticlockwise to the large flame setting À.
xAt the same time, press the button with the star å.
The spark plug gives out a spark that causes the burner to ignite.
xOnce the burner is lit, keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds.
xRelease the knob.
If the burner does not ignite, repeat the operations described above.
Note:
−Should particular local conditions of the delivered gas make the ignition of the burner difficult, it is advisable to repeat the operation with the knob turned to the small flame setting À.
−The burner safety system serves to prevent the emission of gas if the flame should be extinguished accidentally (draughts, interruptions in gas supply, dousing with liquids, etc).
−The separator panel, positioned beneath the cooktop at a minimum distance of 20 mm, must be sealed.
−UK: replace the gas fitting with the one supplied (this job must be done by a qualified technician).
USING THE DOUBLE-RING BURNER
When using the double-ring burner, leave the knob on the maximum setting (large flame À) for at least five minutes after lighting before selecting a lower setting.
