RECOMMENDATIONS
INSTALLATION
• The appliance must be handled and installed by
two or more persons.
• Be careful not to damage the floors (e.g.
parquet) when moving the appliance.
• During installation, make sure the appliance
does not damage the power cable.
• Make sure the appliance is not near a heat
source.
• To guarantee adequate ventilation, leave a space
on both sides and above the appliance and
follow the installation instructions.
• Keep the appliance ventilation openings free.
• Do not damage the appliance refrigerant circuit
pipes.
• Install and level the appliance on a floor strong
enough to take its weight and in a place suitable
for its size and use.
• Install the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated
place. The appliance is arranged for operation
in places where the temperature comes within
the following ranges, according to the climatic
class given on the rating plate. The appliance
may not work properly if it is left for a long
time at a temperature outside the specified
range.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF
REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER OPERATION
This appliance is a refrigerator combined with a
star rating electronically controlled freezer.
It therefore allows separate adjustment of the
temperature in the refrigerator and freezer
compartment.
The freezer compartmentenables
perfect freezing of fresh and cooked food, the
production of ice cubes and storing of frozen and
deep frozen food. Defrosting is manual.
The refrigerator compartment, equipped with
automatic defrost, enables the storage of fresh
food and beverages.
Optimum performance depends on the climatic
class indicated on the rating plate.

freezer compartment cannot be switched off with
only the refrigerator compartment switched on.

same button again for 3 seconds.
Sensor Function (also called “Sixth sense” or
“Dynamic Intelligence”)
The appliance is fitted with an electronic control
system that works on both compartments to
minimize the times for the recovery of the correct
food preservation temperatures even in case of
opening of the door and introduction of new food.
“Vacation” Option
The electronic control allows the freezer
compartment to be left on with the refrigerator
compartment switched off.
To activate this function, with the appliance on,

USING THE REFRIGERATOR
COMPARTMENT
Switching the appliance on and temperature adjustment.
Switch the power to the appliance on.
If you have purchased a model with antibacterial filter, the filter
should be fitted in place now. (refer to “Maintenance and cleaning” of
the appliance). The ideal temperatures for preserving foods are
already factory set.
When the appliance is switched on for the first time, the acoustic
signal sounds and the red light (10) flashes, indicating that the
temperature inside the freezer is still not cold enough for introducing
food. The acoustic signal can be deactivated by pressing the button
(11) on the control panel. Place food in the freezer only when the
red alarm light has gone off.
Note:
4-5 hours are required for the refrigerator compartment to reach a
temperature suitable for storage.
• Ambient temperature, frequency of door opening and position of
the appliance can affect the temperature inside the two
compartments. These factors should be taken into account when
setting the thermostat position.
• The space between the shelves and the rear wall of the
refrigerator ensures the free circulation of air.
• Do not place food in direct contact with the rear wall of the
refrigerator compartment.
• Do not place hot food in the compartments.
• Store liquids in closed containers.
• Storing vegetables with high water content can cause
condensation to form: this does not affect correct appliance
operation.
Storing food in the refrigerator compartment
Place the food as shown in the figure.
1. Cooked food
2. Fish, meat
3. Fruit & vegetables
4. Bottles
5. Butter
6. Dairy products, cheese

The temperature is factory set to +5°C (display 7). To change
the temperature setting, press the buttons (8) or (9) on the
control panel, until the required value is obtained. Settable
temperature limit:
• +2 °C coldest temperature
• +8 °C warmest temperature
