Sort laundry by:

Check that all fastenings are closed and that pockets are empty. Ensure that there are no cigarette lighters in the wash. Turn laundry inside out.
Place laundry loosely in the drum to achieve even drying throughout. Then close the door.

Select the required option by pressing the corresponding button. The indicator lamp above the relevant button lights up to confirm your selection. A fast blinking LED indicates that an invalid selection has been made (incompatible option). Press the button again to cancel the option.

How to proceed if...
...you want to check the dryer yourself first:
(If your machine is not functioning correctly, please check the following points before calling the Customer Service department - also refer to relevant section in the Instructions For Use).
• Was the inserted laundry too wet (washing machine spin speed less than 1000 rpm)?
• Is the lint filter dirty? (filter indicator light on)
• Is the heat exchanger dirty? (for more information, refer to the Instructions For Use)
• Is the room temperature too high?
Drying takes too long/ Laundry is not dry enough
The dryer does not operate (after a power failure, always press the “Start (Pause)” button)

• Are the “End” and “Anti-crease” indicator lamps lighting up? The drying cycle is complete and the laundry can be taken out.

Clean the filter at the end of every cycle
Empty the water container at the end of every drying cycle
Clean the heat exchanger at least once a month
• Brush lint using a soft brush or your fingertips.
• Close the filter.
• Push the filter back into place.
• Pull the handle to remove the water container.
• Empty the water container.
• Replace the empty water container by pushing it fully back into place.
• Clean the heat exchanger under running water.
• Remove all lint from the seals.
• Clean the heat exchanger housing (for further information see section “Cleaning the heat exchanger” in the Instructions for Use).

In the event that the dryer malfunctions, one of the following failure codes may be displayed. Depending on the model of your dryer, the failure may be displayed in letters or by different blinking LEDs.

Quick Reference Guide
Programme selector knob
The drying programme is selected by
turning this knob. The
indicator lamp flashes.
“Start (Pause)”
“Start (Pause)” button
The drying programme is started by
pressing this button. The indicator lamp
lights up.
Filter
The indicator lamp lights up when the
filter and/or the heat exchanger and its
housing need to be cleaned.
Clean the filter at the end of every
drying cycle.
Water container
The indicator lamp lights up when the
water container needs to be emptied.
The drying cycle is automatically
interrupted. Empty the container and
restart the drying programme.
Empty the water container after
every drying cycle

Clean heat exchanger
The LED lights up after 30 cycles when the
heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. After
the heat exchanger has been cleaned, the
indicator lamp will switch off automatically
when the next drying cycle is started.
Indicator lamps
“Remaining time” display
Depending on the selected programme, a default drying time is displayed. After the start of the cycle, the displayed time is corrected depending on the volume, type and moisture level of the laundry.
The specified drying time is a calculated value which will be updated during the drying cycle.
The flashing lines indicate that the calculation is in progress. The remaining time will be updated.
End
The drying programme is finished. Please unload the dryer.
Overdry protection / 6th Sense
The indicator lights up when a humidity controlled programme is selected, to indicate the activated protection function.
Key lock
For child safety, this option can be used to lock all functions of the user interface. To activate/deactivate this option, the button must be pressed for 3 seconds. The only remaining function available is the “Off” position of the programme selector knob. The key lock function remains active even when the selector knob is turned to the “Off” position or the door is opened. The function must be deactivated manually.

Gentle
Selecting this option will reduce the drying temperature. This option cannot be selected when the “Rapid” option is selected (if available).
Anti-crease
This option can be chosen to reduce wrinkling, when the laundry is not unloaded immediately after the end of the cycle. The drum turns from time to time for up to 12 hours. It can be interrupted at any time by switching off the dryer. This option deactivates the “Buzzer” function, if it is activated.
Rapid Cotton
Selecting this option reduces the drying time. This option should only be selected for cotton programmes, with a maximum load of 3.5 kg. The garments should be a similar size and thickness.
Buzzer
When this option is pressed, a buzzer will indicate the end of the drying cycle. This option deactivates the “Anti-crease” function, if it is activated.
Start delay
Delays the start of the drying cycle by 1 to 12 hours. Each time the button is pressed, the start time is delayed by 1 hour. Press the
“Start (Pause)”

During the countdown, the drum will turn from time to time to redistribute the laundry and the pump will start to pump water into the water container. To cancel or change the previously set time delay, set the index of the programme selector knob to the “Off” position, or open the door.
