Proper electrical, drain and water supply lines must be available or must be installed, as specified, within the shaded area. See
“Electrical requirements,” ‘Water requirements,” and “Drain requirements” sections.

It is recommended that the electrical, drain and water supply
lines be located as close to the rear
wall as possible.
Check the locatlon where the
dishwasher will be installed. The
location must provide:

Easy access to water, electricity and drainage lines.

Convenient loading - the best location is to the left or right of the kitchen sink.
l
Square opening for proper dishwasher operation and appearance.
l
Cabinet front that is perpendicular
to the floor.
l
Protection so that the water inlet valve and drain cannot freeze.
l
l/4” (0.64 cm) minimum clearance between the motor and the flooring to prevent the motor from overheating.

Electrical requirements

Electrical Shock Hazard Electrically ground dishwasher. Connect grounding wire to green
grounding nut in terminal box. Do Not ground to a gas supply
pipe. Do Not connect dishwasher to
electrical supply until appliance is permanently grounded.
Do Not have a fuse in the neutral or grounding circuit.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or
electrical shock.
Check with a qualified electrician if you are not sure dishwasher is properly grounded.
It is the customer’s responsibility:
To contact a qualified
electrician.
To assure that the electrical
installation is adequate and in conformance with all national and all local codes and ordinances.
A 120-volt, 60-Hz, AC-only,
15ampere. fused electrical supply is required. Time-delay fuse or
circuit breaker is recommended. It
is recommended that a separate circuit serving only this dishwasher be provided.
Grounding instructions
Dlshwasher must be connected to a grounded metal, permanent wlrlng system, or an equlpment-groundlng conductor must be run with the clrcult conductors and connected to the equlpment-groundlng terminal or lead on the dlshwasher.

For your personal safety, this appliance must be grounded. This appliance is equipped with a power supply cord having a 3-prong grounding plug. To minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating, 3-prong, grounding-type wall receptacle, grounded in accordance with all national and all local codes and ordinances. If
a mating wall receptacle is not available, it is the personal responsibility and obligation of the customer to have a properly grounded, 3-prong, wall receptacle installed by a qualified electrician. The receptacle should be installed
on the rear or side wall of the cabinet next to the dishwasher opening.

Drain requirements

The drain hose must connect to the house plumblng at a mlnlmum of 20 Inches (50.8 cm) above the floor. Thls will prevent backflow or water slphonlng out of dlshwasher durlng operatlon.

Measure height of cabinet

Open dishwasher door and remove all shipping materials.
Remove bottom rack. Place a newspaper, large sheet of paper or a towel over bottom of dishwasher to prevent screws or other items from dropping into the pump area when securing dishwasher to countertop.

w Open dishwasher door approximately 3” (8 cm) and check for equal spacing between inner door and tub sides. If necessary, loosen screws that fasten dishwasher to countertop and shift tub. Tighten screws.

Put spring-type drain hose clamp over c&ri&tor. Push drain hose onto connector. Use pliers to open clamp over drain hose and connector. Check that drain hose
is secure. If screw-type clamp is used instead
of spring-type clamp, use a 5/l 6”
nut driver to tighten drain hose
securely to connector. To minimize noise and vibration,
route drain hose to avoid contact with door springs, motor, water line, cabinet or flooring. Do Not run drain hose over top of tub.
