Mounting Instructions
Choose the mounting method best suited to your mounting surface type:
Affixing the Storage System to wallboard:
Tools required: Phillips Screwdriver, Wall Anchors/Screws (provided), Hole
Template (provided on back)
1. Locate the desired wall location for the unit and verify there are no wall studs behind the wallboard.
2. Placing the template vertically on the wall and using the screwdriver, mark the hole location into the wall for both screws. Twist a wall anchor into each hole location on the wall until fully seated. See Figure 1.
3. Drive a mounting screw into each wall anchor until the screw head is approximately 1/8” (3mm) from the wall. See Figures 2 and 3.
4. To mount the KleenSpec Illumination Storage System, fit the round key holes in the back of the system over screw heads on the wall and push down.

4. To mount the KleenSpec Illumination Storage System, fit the round key holes in the back of the system over screw heads on the wall and push down.

Affixing the Storage System to other surfaces:
Tools required: Alcohol Swab, Lint-Free Cloth, Double-Sided Tape (provided)
1. Locate the desired location for the storage system.
2. Using an alcohol swab, clean all surface mounting areas thoroughly and then dry with a lint-free cloth.
3. Peel away the backing from one side of the two pieces of double-sided tape and attach the two pieces of double-sided tape over each of the key holes on the back of the KleenSpec Illumination Storage System. See Figure 4.
4. Peel away the backing for the double-sided tape and firmly press the KleenSpec Illumination Storage System to the cleaned surfaces. See Figure 5. For best adhesion results, do not use the storage system for 24 hours.
Using the Storage System
1. Slide the card of replacement lamps (REF 08800 lamps purchased separately) inside the storage system from the top. See figure on reverse.
2. Plug the KleenSpec Illuminator into the outlet. If necessary, wrap the excess transformer cord between the wall and the storage system. Place the Vaginal Speculum Illuminator into the front opening of the storage system.
To clean the KleenSpec Illumination Storage System, wipe it with 70%
Alcohol, CaviWipes, or 10% Bleach Solution.
NOTE: VERIFY LAMP IS TURNED OFF BEFORE PLACING IT INTO THE STORAGE SYSTEM.

Affixing the Storage System to other surfaces:
Tools required: Alcohol Swab, Lint-Free Cloth, Double-Sided Tape (provided)
1. Locate the desired location for the storage system.
2. Using an alcohol swab, clean all surface mounting areas thoroughly and then dry with a lint-free cloth.

Using the Storage System

Limited Warranty
Instrumentation purchased new from Welch Allyn, Inc. (Welch Allyn) is warranted to be free from
original defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year
for Welch Allyn KleenSpec Vaginal Specula Illumination Storage System (REF 78820) from the date
of first shipment from Welch Allyn. This warranty shall be fulfilled by Welch Allyn or its authorized
representative repairing or replacing at Welch Allyn’s discretion, any such defect, free of charge for
parts and labor.
Welch Allyn must be notified via telephone of any defective product and the item must be immediately returned, with an RMA number provided by Welch Allyn, securely packaged and postage prepaid to Welch Allyn . Loss or damage in shipment shall be at the purchaser’s risk.
Welch Allyn will not be responsible for loss associated with the use of any Welch Allyn product that
(1) has had the date of manufacture number defaced, (2) has been repaired by anyone other than an
authorized Welch Allyn Service Representative, (3) has been altered, (4) has been used in a manner
other than in accordance with the instructions, or (5) has been abused or exposed to extreme environmental conditions.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHER WARRANTY OF QUALITY, WHETHER EXPRESSED
OR IMPLIED. WELCH ALLYN WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
