Safety / Warnings

• Only connect the Remote Control to Welch Allyn’s Mach 7 or Mach 8 Air Abrasion systems.

• Always follow the safety warnings and cautions outlined in your Mach 7/8 User’s Guide

• Always disinfect the handpiece cradle in the unit before each patient use.

• Always place the handpiece back in its holder when not in use to place the unit in Standby mode.

System Overview

The Remote is an accessory to Welch Allyn’s Mach 7 or Mach 8 Air Abrasion systems. This module functions the same as the
front control panels of the Mach 7 or 8 systems. Refer to your Mach 7/8 User’s Guide for information on using the system.

Mach 7 and Mach 8 connections using a single Remote Control Module

Connect the remote control cable between the remote control module and the back panel of your Mach 7 or Mach 8 as shown.
For the Mach 7, all operational control will be provided by the remote control, disabling the front panel.

When connected to your Mach 8, the remote control module will function as the Control Panel for operatory 2, while the Mach
8 front panel will function as the control panel for operatory 1. Refer to your Mach 7/8 User’s Guide for more information.

Mach 8 connections using two Remote Control Modules

Plug the two remote control cables between the back of the remote control modules and the remote “Y” adapter as shown.
Plug the “Y” adapter into the back panel of your Mach 8. In this configuration, the remote control modules will function as the
control panel for operatory 1, and operatory 2, and the Mach 8 front panel will be disabled. Refer to your Mach 7/8 User’s
Guide for more information.
