ASSEMBLING THE LID OF
THE
MASTER-TOUCH
GBS PREMIUM E-5770/75
You should now have the bowl and lid fully assembled (apart
from the hinge)
Build the grill like any Master-Touch GBS
(NOTE: if you close the bowl vents, you won‘t lose the screws).
BEFORE YOU START
These are the parts you should have for the
hinge assembly: The assembled hinge with black
knob, 2 metal plates, 2 screws and
6 nuts.
These are the tools, that are already included for
an easy assembly of the lid. Alternatively you
can use a size 11 flex wrench.

Unscrew the top part of the hinge (the part with
the grip point) that goes on the lid, from the
lower part (the part with the springs) that goes
on the bowl.

ASSEMBLING THE LID

Here you can see the lose bolts: the hinge can
easily be moved up and down along the slits for
adjustment.
Take the lid and the hinge parts for the lid.
The lid should now look like this and is ready to
be slid on the hinge part in the bowl.
The lid plate backing goes inside the lid. Insert
the screws from the outside (the U-shaped
handle should face up, if the lid is turned around)
and fully tighten the bolts from the inside.
Take the bowl and the hinge parts for
the bowl.
Insert the bowl plate backing from the inside of
the bowl so the screws point outwards. Slide the
bottom part of the hinge (black knob facing up)
onto the screws and loosely tighten the bolts.

Be sure that the lid is flat on the bowl. Keep
lid closed and adjust lower hinge if necessary
before tightening hardware. The trouble shooting
is explained in the next points.
Fully tighten the knob while the lid is
still open.
1211
Slide the lid on the hinge.
Leave the lid open.

If the lid stays open in the front, then the hinge
needs to be lifted in the back (gently).
If the lid stays open in the back, then the hinge
needs to be pushed down (gently).

Push down the lid with one hand to make sure it
fits and tighten the bolts of the hinge now fully.
