Models C24 & C20 Specifications
1.01 Work Included A) The sectional doors will be Wayne-Dalton Models (C24) or (C20) as manufactured by Wayne-Dalton Corp.
1.02 Related W
ork A)Opening preparation, miscellaneous or structural metal work, access panels finish or field painting, field electrical wiring, wire, conduit, fuses, and disconnect switches are in the Scope of Work of other divisions or trades.
2.01 Door Sections A) Will be roll-formed to a full 2" thickness from hot-dipped galvanized 24ga (Model C24) or 20ga (Model C20) steel. Horizontal meeting rails will be roll-formed with tongue-and-groove joint for weathertight fit; and section faces will be uniformly ribbed for added strength. End and intermediate stiles will be formed and fitted for continuous contact and bonded with elastomeric adhesive along edges of contact with interior of sections. Maximum stile spacing will be 48" on center. Bottom section will be furnished with retainer and bottom astragal. Exterior and interior of door sections will be prepainted with a two-coat, baked-on polyester primer and polyester top coat.

Track
A) All track, vertical mounting angles and brackets will be commercial quality steel minimum 16 ga. thickness, hot-dipped galvanized. Track is (2") (3") standard or as specified. Vertical track to be graduated providing wedge type weathertight closing with (bracket mounting for wood jambs) (continuous angle mounting for wood jambs) (continuous reverse angle mounting for steel jambs), and are fully adjustable to seal door at jambs. Horizontal track will be reinforced with continuous angle of adequate length and gauge to help prevent deflection.
2.03 Hardware A) All hinges and brackets will be made from hot-dipped galvanized steel. Track rollers will be case hardened inner steel races with 10 ball (two inch) (three inch) rollers.
2.04 Counterbalance A) Springs will be torsion type, low-stress, helical wound, oil-tempered spring wire to provide minimum 10,000 cycles of use -- or meet specified cycles -- on continuous steel shaft; (solid CRS). Spring fittings and drums will be made of die cast, high-strength aluminum. Pre-formed galvanized steel aircraft cable shall provide a minimum of a 5:1 safety factor. (Long life springs of 25,000, 50,000 or 100,000 cycles may be specified and are recommended for high usage doors).
2.05 Locks A) Will engage right-hand vertical track and utilize an interior side lock. (Standard size rim cylinder short lock bar or 2" track only double lock bar that engages both vertical tracks are available.)
2.06 Glazing A) As specified (insulated doors having 24" x 6" lites with 1/2" SSB insulated or single pane 1/4" glass or acrylic or polycarbonate set in molded high-impact polymer frame). (Uninsulated doors will have

eatherstripping
A) Optional factory-installed foam joint seal is available. Optional field-installed exterior jamb/perimeter seal is available.
2.08 Insulation A) As specified will be 1-5/8" polystyrene secured in sections and muntins without the use of muntin clips and pop rivets. Inside backup sheets will be white prepainted (embossed steel), (vinyl).

A) Per DASMA 102-2003 and as required by local codes.
2.10 Options A) Chain hoist or motor operator.
3.01 Inst
all A) Install the doors in accordance with Wayne-Dalton Corp. instructions and standards. Installation will be by authorized Wayne-Dalton representative.
