Introduction
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Stack & Learn ElephantTM learning toy.
The VTech® Stack & Learn ElephantTM is an adorable elephant pull toy. Loaded with lots of fun phrases, sounds, music and songs. The stacking rings make up the elephant’s body and introduce counting, colors and body parts. Snap on the head and you have a new friend who loves to be pulled around and around.

GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a coin or screwdriver to loosen the screw.
3. Install 2 new ‘AA’ size (UM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box.
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure the battery cover.
BATTERY NOTICE
• The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.
• Install batteries correctly observing the polarity (+, -) signs to avoid leakage.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon­zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Remove the batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time.
• Always remove exhausted batteries from the equipment.
• Do not dispose of batteries in re.
• Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Only batteries of the same and equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
PRODUCT FEATURES
1. ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/OFF/MODE
SELECTOR SWITCH to the LEARNING MODE ( ) or the DISCOVERY MODE
( ) position. To turn the unit OFF, slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR
SWITCH to the OFF ( ) position.

VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH
To adjust the volume, locate the VOLUME
CONTROL SWITCH on the bottom of the
unit. Slide it to the ( )position
for LOW
VOLUME or to the
( )position for HIGH
VOLUME.

3. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve the battery life, the VTech® Stack & Learn ElephantTM
will automatically power-down after approximately 30 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button or by adding or removing rings.
4. PULL CORD
To convert the push toy to a pull toy, remove the pull cord from the
battery compartment and thread it through the eyelet on the base. We suggest you store the pull cord in the compartment until your child is walking.
ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the on/off/mode selector switch to turn the unit on. You will hear an elephant sound, a song and an inviting phrase.
The lights will ash with the sound.
2. Stack the rings to learn numbers and counting or parts of the body, depending on the selected mode. Remove the rings to hear sounds and colors or short tunes, depending on the selected mode. The
lights will ash with the sound.

3. Press on the elephant’s head to hear a variety of playful phrases or a song. The
lights will ash with the sound.
4. Pull the elephant around to hear a variety of fun phrases, songs and melodies. The
lights will ash with the sound.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries.
