Thank you for purchasing the VTECH® LITTLE SMART Spin ‘n Grin Snail learning toy! This product is one of a family of high quality LITTLE SMART® electronic learning toys. We at VTECH® are committed to

The LITTLE SMART Spin ‘n GrinTM Snail is an interactive learning toy designed for toddlers 12 months and up. With a turning head, bobbing eyes, and spinning shell, this friendly pull-toy comes to life as it moves across the floor. Flashing lights, silly bug sound effects, and ten built-in melodies provide more sensory stimulation and reward. The LITTLE SMART Spin ‘n GrinTM Snail also features big buttons that introduce baby to basic colors through sight and sound. All in all, it’s hours of spinning fun for little ones on the run!

WARNING:All packing materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire
ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be dis­carded for your child’s safety.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. T urn the unit upside down to locate the battery cover on the bottom of the SPINNING SHELL. (see figure 1)
3. Use a screwdriver or coin to loosen the screw. (see figure 2)
4. Adjust the position to open the battery cover.
5. Install 2 new “AA” (UM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of ne w, alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)
6. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure the bat­tery cover. (see figure 3)

BATTERY NOTICE
Install batteries correctly observing the polarity (+,-) signs to avoid leakage.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not use batteries of different types.
Remove exhausted or new batter ies from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
NOTE: If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please
follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand f or a f e w minutes , then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again. If the problem persists, please call our Consumer Services
Department at 1-800-521-2010 in the U.S. or 1-800-267-7377 in Canada, and a service representative will be happy to help you.
