Introducing Bluetooth
You can make and receive calls using the home an d
cell lines. The home line is your c onventional telephone
land line ( /HOME /FLASH). T he cell line is the
telephone line assoc iated with your cell phone ser vice
( /CELL).
You can:
Pair up to four Bluetooth enabled cell p hones with
the telephone base. Up to two of t hem can make
and receive cell calls. H owever, only one cell phone
can be on a call at a time.
Use the home and cell lines at th e same time.
Conference the home and c ell lines.
Important Bluetooth information
Minutes are deducted from your c ellular plan for the
duration of all cell calls us ing the DS6321/6 322.
Charge your cell phone while i t is connected to
the telephone base. Your cell phone’s battery
discharges faster while i t is connected to the
telephone base via Blueto oth wireless technolo gy.
If you have voicemail service o n your cell phone,
unanswered calls to your cell line are an swered by
your cell phone’s voicemail.
Bluetooth wireless techn ology operates within a
short range (about 1 to 30 feet) from the te lephone
base. Keep connected cell p hones and headset
within this range.
If you are on a call using a cordle ss system handset
on the cell line, you cannot pic k up the paired cell
phone and join the call. However, you can join the
call using another DS 6321/6322 han dset.
You cannot use the cell line and a Bluetooth
headset at the same time.
If your cell phone has poor rec eption in your home,
the DS6321/6 322 cannot improve the re ception.
However, if you have a location in your house with
better reception, you can l eave your cell phone in
that location while you use t he DS6321/63 22 cell
line. In order for this to work, the tele phone base
must be within 30 feet of the ce ll phone.
If you have difficult y using your cell line, re fer to
the Troubleshooting sec tion of the user ’s manual.
