Tachograph, fault codes, general information
When there is an fault in the tachograph system, a fault
code is normally stored in the tachograph unit. When the
fault is active, this is shown in the tachograph display.
Note: The tachograph does not handle fault codes in the
same way as the vehicle’s other control units. Fault codes
are displayed as illustrated.
T3017893
Error messages forfaultcodes are shownas follows:
1 Pictograms or pictogram combinations (specified
in accordance with legal requirements)
2 Informative text
3 Fault code number
The background flashes for 30 seconds or
until a button is pressed.
Note: Tachograph fault codes are shown on the
tachograph display. However, the driver is made aware of
any messages and warnings by a warning lamp.
T3017898
Note: The fault codes are used as indicators when
troubleshooting. This does not mean that the tachograph
needs automatically to be changed if there are fault codes
stored.
